Does Pedagogy Only Refers To Art Of Teaching Or It Can Also Be Interpreted As Style Of Teaching

What is the best teaching method? And what is your reason?

The best teaching method is the one that your students respond to. A master teacher adjusts his or her methods and strategies in response to his or her students’ ability to learn the material being presented.I can propose that direct instruction is best used when working with students below grade level. Many of these students did not understand the material initially and may need to see the material applied explicitly through modeling and “think alouds”. But this doesn't mean all students respond best to direct instruction for all subjects.I can also say research shows cooperative learning increases participation and motivation and may have a direct correlation to increased student achievement. But doing it too often for every lesson can get boring very quickly.I personally enjoy the Socratic method and inquiry-based learning, but very rarely have I seen a teacher present materials effectively. It is hard to train students how to infer or deduce what is presented with what they already know.If you are a teacher, I suggest you learn as many methods, skills, strategies as you can and practice them. Lessons will fail, but over time you will learn when to use what method by observing what your students do during your lesson. Most importantly, you will learn which ones you can be most proficient in and therefore be most effective.

Why do teachers need pedagogy when teaching English language arts?

I think your question could be translated into something like “Why should teachers be trained?”The other question would be “Could everyone who knows something be able to teach it to others?”Presenting information is not the same as talking. Teaching mathematics, for example, is not the same thing as talking about mathematics. Presenting information for learning requires understanding the audience, their levels of current understanding and the ways the presenter can get the interest of the audience members.Every member of the audiance is different from every other, all of them have different familiarity with the topic, different motivation to learn, and all of them have different levels of insanity at home, which often makes learning a subject secondary, especially in homes short on food or in situstions where staying alive is an issue.7/4/2018 edited for clarity.

What is your philosophy of teaching?

I am a preschool teacher and my philosophy of teaching my children is to make the best learning experience for every child. I believe that each child is a unique individual. Children are different and we need to embrace and celebrate their unique skills. I see the preschool years as a time for children to discover who they are and learn about the world.

What are the similarities of pedagogy and andragogy?

Here is the first link I would provide you: http://www.floridatechnet.org/inservice/...

Andragogy consists of learning strategies focused on adults. It is often interpreted as the process of engaging adult learners with the structure of learning experience. Originally used by Alexander Kapp (a German educator) in 1833, andragogy was developed into a theory of adult education by the American educator Malcolm Knowles. It is also known as the "ageless learner".

Pedagogy is the art or science of being a teacher. The term generally refers to strategies of instruction, or a style of instruction.

Why don't Christians ever attack these other things that are 'JUST THEORIES'?

@Central N.Y. Guy
So if the Bible said something like 'You are able to see because there are magic goblins inside your eyes that tickle the right neurons based on what colour hits them', then you would reject trichromatic and opponent process theories of vision?

Very interesting
