How do I convince my parents that shopping online is okay?
To be completely truthful shopping on line is a toss up. It depends on a number of things. One, Check the site out. Does it have Varisign? (I know that's not spelled right but your parents can figure it out) Run the websites url through web of trust. Read what others have posted about the site. Is your computer well protected? Not some free AV. I mean by a real paid for AV like Kaspersky that will warn you if something isn't right? Some sites will try to attack your computer looking for CC #'s. A good AV (Security Suite) will block that. When you buy on line with a free AV installed. They won't protect you. Is your computer up to date with all the Microsoft patches and fixes? If it isn't don't do it. These guys that do internet fraud know how to exploit any venerability. Does the credit card you will use have fraud protection so you (your parents) won't have to pay back the credit card company even if it is fraud? Some CC companies will make you pay back money even if it was fraud by someone else. There is a lot to look at and consider when buying on line.
Why do people shop online for clothing? Is it not easier to walk into a store, try it on, and then buy it?
I’ll buy anything on-line except clothing. Folks here say if you find the right size in a particular clothing line, then just order the same size.WRONG! Say you’re shopping for jeans. I have found the exact same size as one pair to not fit another. Shoes, too. I found some Keds (light running shoes) at Goodwill. Loved the fit. Went on-line to buy two more pair of same size in different colors. No, they were not the same fit at all. Both pairs were slightly wider than the first pair (which had no visible wear even on the soles). Somewhere within a couple of months, they changed the way they made the exact same model of shoe. Why?I carry a list of brands and sizes when I shop. If I find the same brand/size and try it on, it’s not the same as the ones I already own.Sizing Charts: Don’t make me freaking laugh. I take my measurements (depressing, but it is what it is). The size charts are off two sizes for waist and three sizes for hips. There is no size that fits both on me. It all depends on the rise. A lot of the time, women’s pants don’t even specify the rise. Leg length? Wow, every woman must be 6′ tall. Why should I have to hem up 2–3″ to get the right length?Sizes vary from one manufacturer to another. I have pants in my closet ranging from 6 to 10 which all fit pretty much the same. What do I look for in a brand I don’t already own? For that matter, the size I have in the closet isn’t even close to the size of similar item at the store.I’ve ordered everything from computer parts to books to aquarium parts from on-line sources. No problem. I have NEVER found clothing on-line that is the same as the identical item I’ve got at home. Never.
Online shopping vs. Traditional Shopping?
Online Shopping Advantages are: Save Gas -delivered direct to you and many sites offer free shipping Save Time and Flexible - Can be done any time and fast from your computer. Saves money - easy to shop and compare fast online and purchase at the best price. Would take forever to shop and compare many stores in person. Saves money - because many sites offer sales and discounts they don't at the regular store. You can also get the left over stuff they could not sell at the store. Saves money and can earn free stuff. Many companies offer discounts and promo products or have clubs to earn for every dollar spent. You can shop and earn dollars for a charity. Many sites offer these types of deals. The place I shop allows you to pick the charity. You have more of a variety of things to buy online. You can shop all over the world online for things you could never find in your own town. Earn while you shop. I am part of a company that lets me shop and refer others to shop online ..then I make referral commission. Traditional Shopping Advantages: Instant gratification - you buy it and you have it right then. Try and then buy - you can touch, smell, see it up close and in person. hmmmmm I have a hard time thinking of more advantages to traditional shopping. I hope this helps with your paper! What is the positive and negative impact of online shopping?
Base on my experience the positive is…you can buy stuff that not available at your local stores.A variety of choice to choose.Some online shops offer cheaper price.Easy, buy stuff only in a few click on your pc or smartphones, it convenient for people that always busy.Save time, money, energy, well you dont have to spent money on fuel or pay for the bus fare.Negative:Addictive, you might spent more money and buying stuff that not neccessary( i have seen a lot of ridiculous item for sale online), it another story if you are rich people.Your item/parcel get stolen or lost( happened to me many times and i got no refund).Item might be different from what you see on the online shops (this one is so annoying )Problem with the qualityThe shipping is too long, i used to buy stuff on aliexpress and sometimes it took 2 month for the item to arrive, but it was free shipping.Scam, i get scam a few times on ebay but im able to get back my money from paypal resolution center.Well theres a lot more but i can’t write all of it , its 1.50am now i should go to sleep, bye.
