You didn’t say if she just really wants to be friends or is flirting with you. Either way, tell her politely that you can’t be friends and for her to please keep her distance from now on. That’s pretty direct but maybe direct is what she needs.Besides, what if she is just trying to string you along? There are people who cannot stand losing the adoration of others even though they are already in a relationship. Or maybe she wants a spare tire in case the chosen one does not live up to expectations. Don’t be the spare tire and keep your dignity.Regardless of whether she knows you like her or not, tell her you’re not interested in her that way anymore. If she says she will dump her BF for you, then you know what kind of girl she is—the better to stay away from this person. Maybe she would and you’d end up being her BF, and then what? If she can do something like that to her current BF, what should make you think she won’t do it to you, too?I am not saying she is a bad person. I don’t know her. All these are just scenarios I’m giving you. But bottom line is, if you don’t want her friendship, then say no.
Why does she want to be my friend?
i'm a 17 year old guy and my best friend is a girl. to be honest, i dont know why she wants to be my friend. i don't play sport, i'm socially awkward, especially around girls, and i listen to emo music, when most people listen to pop and dance music. i have been bullied many times throughout my school life, and i did nothing to defend myself, and i guess that makes me a coward too. i hate how people treat me and they think just because i like emo music, i should be dressed in black. but its not my fault i dont like their type of music, because to me emo music sums up my life and what i go through each and every day. my friend does undestand me though. she respects what i like and for that, i love her. i asked her why she always comes back to me, even when she has way cooler friends than me. she said that i was a lovely nice guy, and that i always helped her with her problems, and listen to her. but, i dont feel comfortable being the nice guy, because to me they always finish last. believe me i know how lucky i am to have a friend like her because i have no other friends. i am also beginning to fall in love with my girl best friend, and this only makes life worse. i cant tell her because if it doesnt work, i cant lose her. my life would would be over, in fact, my life would be no longer worth living. i'm from a pretty poor family, so i really have nothing to offer this girl, but she sticks by me no matter what! why does she want to be my friend? what have i really got to offer anyone? lets face it, life just pure sucks! :(

I'm pretty sure this has happened to a lot of people, just wanted to hear other people's opinions. Thanks for your time. So, there's this girl that I like. And she likes me back. Well, used to like me. We weren't really BF/GF, but we were more than friends. The relationship lasted about 3 months. She told me that she just wanted to be friends. I want to be more than friends, and I still like her, so I don't know what to do. I don't want to lose her as a friend either though. I'm in love with her and I don't want to let her go. Yes, I know some people may think 3 months in a high school relationship can't really be love, but I really feel like I love her. I haven't told her that yet though. I haven't express some of my feelings to her either yet. Like how I feel pain and hurt, and how I love her, and how I want to be more than friends. I don't her to feel bad or feel like I'm desperate. I just want her smile to stay on her face. So currently, I'm pretending everything is good. I feel like I should tell her, but at the same time I don't. Sorry for all the details. What do you think I should do?

Hello my friends. I like this girl, but she only wants to be friends. I told her I liked her last night and she said I'm a sweet guy and stuff, but she just wants to be friends. Then I asked if she liked me and she said probably. Guys I really like this girl, but she only wants to be friends! I don't know what to do. I know I can't make her like me, but I can't just admit that she only likes me as a friend. I guess I'm just saying my story, instead of a question. but I really need to hear other peoples opinion. A way that some how she would get to like, just a little bit more. I'm heart broken right now, and I need you guys to help me. please!

Think about it this way, is it better to operate under the idea that she might be open to more only to find out that she doesn't, or is it better to believe that she doesn't want more than a friend only to find out that she is more interested in you than you had thought? Show her that you can treat her with care and respect regardless of how she feels about you. If you can't do that then how would you expect to be able to treat her right when she's pissed at you for something you may or may not have done? Don't just tell yourself to believe that she just wants to be friends, accept it. I have been in your shoes so many times, sometimes I couldn't do it, and sometimes I managed and the girl never ended up liking me back. But whatever she may do, it's your actions that say what kind of a man you are. By the way, the last girl that said she wanted to be friends with me has been my girlfriend for a year, and now she is the one who brought up the topic of getting married, guess I'll have to pick out a ring soon.

If a girl says that she wants to be your friend than it means that she wants to be your friend only ..You said that you want to be in relationship and spend life with her…your this feeling have created a soft corner about you in his heart…but it doesn't mean she is going to love you…If you want to make her fall in love…than do this …Talk to her…help her when she is in need…make her to smile…Give your girl some space … don't behave like that you are her boyfriend…. Just because her friends said she likes you, it still has to come directly from her in order for you to want to really believe it. Don't listen to her friend's about her feelings about you. It's hearsay until she admits it.
What does a girl REALLY mean when she says she just wants to be friends.?
my girlfriend broke up with me, saying that she didnt feel the same anymore, but that i was the sweetest and nicest guy she had ever met and really wanted to stay friends, afterwards i spoke to her just like friends for a few hours, but i was pretty upset so i went away for a few weeks, i apologised to her when i came back, because i tried to convince her to take me back, and i said to her i just really want to be friends again, and she agreed saying she did still want to be good friends, but i tried talking to her for the first time in a few weeks, on facebook, and she would just say like 3 words every 5 minutes when i would type lots asking her how she was and such, then she suddenly went offline, does she really want to be my friend, like is it too soon for us to be talking, or is it just some bs to get rid of me
