Does Slim-Fast REALLY work?

I lost 15 pounds that I had gained my first year in college by eating one slim fast bar for breakfast, one for lunch, with one piece of fruit in between and a Gatorade. Then for dinner I had a 6 inch subway sandwich and every other day would run 1-3 miles. I lost the 15 pounds in one month. It was easy.

I have heard that drinking slim fast for breakfast and lunch and then eating a small dinner will help you to loose weight. Is that true i was just wondering i plan on starting a diet this weekend will be eating health working out and drinking nothing but water. What else can i do to loose 10 pounds i feel so fat and i hate it. Will drinking slim fast really help.

the thing is, I'm trying to use it as a jump start. I'm planing on trying this for a month or so and then go on weight watchers. I just got a new gym membership. I'm usually in shape, but I just happened to have 2 pregnancies back to back and it's kind of hard to bounce back from. My second baby is just 6 weeks old. I don't have too awefully much to lose, but would like to do something to kick start my weight loss.

I did it years ago, and yes, it works for a short period of time.What I remember is doing it for two meals, then having a regular dinner for the third meal of the day.But… it gave me digestion issues.And, it’s full of all sorts of chemicals.Better to just do a smart LIFETIME diet plan like Weight Watchers. :)

Does Slim Fast really work?

If you asking if Slim Fast (or ANY so-called "diet" shake) cause you to reduce excess body fat, the answer is NO. Nothing you eat or drink triggers weight loss. This is only marketing.

Slim fast is a meal replacement shake. A healthy one. You simply substitute a slim-fast shake for ONE meal, or use it as a snack.

To reduce body fat and keep it off, you should reduce total daily calories SLIGHTLY. As you reduce, you need to continue to cut calories, until you arrive at your goal weight. Once you are at your desired weight, you'll automatically know what calorie level you need to maintain.

I would personally recommend staying far away from simple carbs for a while. i.e. Sugars, processed foods, grains, etc. Stick with complex carbs (fruits, raw veggies, etc).

Do Slim fast drinks really work?

Slim fast are great for protein shakes after work outs and that's about it, unfortunately and as for k20 'protein' water, its all marketing!

Use them, for keeping up your fluids (if you find water too boring). Drinking plenty of water etc is really important when trying to loose weight!!! water is your friend not detrimental to your diet.

I would recommend, exercise often and maybe have a slim fast shake or k20 afterwards if you’re keen..... but don't put too much faith in them. It's all down to you. So work out a plan that suits you, keeping fluids up and your protein so you build muscle, recover faster and stay full - avoiding over eating.

It depends on what you mean by "work".Slim Fast diets work great in terms of making money for the company that created Slim Fast.They also might work if you value temporary short-term weight loss but not health. Something many people have forgotten is that weight loss is a symptom of illness, not an indicator of health. Losing weight via diets often makes you look and feel unhealthy.While calorie counting might control weight if strictly followed, it does NOT work to improve overall health in the long run. Diets can change weight (often temporarily), but regular physical activity is required In order to maintain a healthy weight long-term.

Does slimfast work for reducing belly fat?

In my experience, the only thing Slimfast does is test one's gag reflex. To get rid of belly fat, I recommend:
1. Stretching before and after each meal to increase the heart rate and jump start your metabolism.
2. Maintaining a six meal per day diet. Since there are six meals, the size of each should be reduced from those of a three meal per day diet. Chew slowly and thoroughly, in order to allow the food to properly digest. Again, chew slowly because the slower you eat, the less you eat.
3. Exercises specifically for your abs. Google should return a few good ones.
