Anyone know a movie/show where someone hides pins in shoes?

Can’t remember where it was from. Someone planted either push pins or needles in someone’s shoes in their locker and it stabbed their foot. I think it was out of revenge.

What single movie would you show to someone who had never seen a movie before?

Gunda.“There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who have seen “Gunda”. And those who shall see it.” ——Roger Abhert An unforgettable satire on the society, with brilliant acting, terrific screenplay, and memorable dialogues that rhyme.Sample this- "In one of the most heart wrenching scenes from Indian celuloid history, Lambu Atta passes away (to history books!) in this scene, where even Rajesh Khanna's death scene from 'Anand' looks pale in comparison." "Gunda is on IMDB at 8.6. It is uniformly accepted as a masterpiece. It holds the world record for being screened in almost all men’s hostels in India. Often in a loop. There is are facebook communities for it. There is even a fan site. It is now a popular baby-name. There is a city in the republic of Buryatia named after the movie. A Gunda-themed apparel line exists. There is “Gunda pickle” which on consumption makes you scream like Lambu Atta after he sees his chikna bhai Kundan murdered. An Aussie band has named themselves Gunda Guys to honor their love for the classics. The Zulus have named a “cottol reel car” Gunda Gunda.Gunda dialogues have passed into popular lingo. “Tere behen ko kar doonga khullam khullah” is an accepted form of greeting between men in college campuses in India. The idea of Lucky Chikna’s sex garden (“latakta circus”) where people fornicated on hanging khatiyas has been adopted by discerning brothels all over the world. Many children born accidentally due to defective contraceptives are being named “Nirodh Kumar” in many parts of India, in honour of a character of the same name in “Gunda”."For a thorough analysis of how it reflects the socio-political and cultural landscape of India in the 90s, you would want to read this-http://greatbong.net/2007/06/20/... What do the TV shows and movies that someone watches tell us about their personality and character?

It is all very situational with many factors involved. It may show personality and character but it may not at all.For example, a person who watches a lot of romances movies may be more sensitive while a person who watches horror movies is disturbed. In the same sense someone who watches sci-fi may be more intelligent than someone who watches comedies. These are generalizations and categorizations of these genres and may not be accurate at all. In some cases they may but people watch movies for different reasons. Someone might watch a movie just to see how bad it is or because of the influence of someone else.Personally, I will watch anything in any genre or type just because I love movies and have a passion. However, some people may only like certain movies for any reason. A genius may love parody movies but that doesn't reflect any less intelligence; that person might just like stupid movies.Sorry about this unorganized answer. The point I'm trying to make is that people watch movies for many different reasons so behind the archetypes, it is hard to pick out characteristics in their tastes for movies.I hope this helped :) have a great day!

What are the names of some Shows, Songs, Books, Movies, Comics, etc. that you know of that refer to JWs?

There's this one episode of The Simpson's, where Marge is bored at home and mentions that the Jehovah's Witnesses came by and she wouldn't let them leave so they snuck out when she went to get more lemonade.

Will a movie theatre show a movie even if no one comes?

The answer is yes but not because of the idea that someone might show up late. In the early 90’s I was working for the Hoyt's chain of theaters (now defunct). There was a blizzard. Nobody, I mean nobody was out driving around, shopping, eating or going to the movies. We had 6 screens. There was not a soul in the theater and we ran all six screens. Why? Because they had Coke and Kodak ads in the previews and you only get paid for them if you run them. So, they ran, Hoyt's got paid. Everything in the theater business is 100% about cash money. Look at every question asked from the viewpoint of how would a theater chain make/lose money and you'll be able to answer a lot of questions before you have to post them
