Does Swansons Food Still Exists If So I Need Contact Info.

How long past the expiration date would a unopened/brand new Swansons Beef Broth carton be good for?

I have used many items that have been long past the 'so-called' expiration date. These dates are to protect the manufacturer rather than your health. If you had become ill after eating it you would not be covered and they would not be responsible but most things are good for a long time after the date.

Dating food items like this is a relatively new things. Years ago people kept well stocked store cupboards with items which were in cans or jars and used them years later. We threw things away when they showed mould growth or smelled bad but, otherwise, used them.

Cartons probably keep things edible for a shorter time than a can or a jar but I doubt you have anything to worry about providing the carton was not punctured or damaged in some other way.

The only item that you would buy, with a 'use before date' which you should strictly adhere to are (in my opinion) drugs e.g. painkillers, eye drops etc. Chemical changes can occur in these things (more so if not stored correctly) and can become very harmful.

Is it okay to feed my dog canned chicken mixed w her food?

I have a 2 yr old rescued Shepherd. It's been a nightmare trying to get her to eat. She was sick at the Vet's and they gave her Hill's Prescription a/d to get her to eat, but then I read bad reviews about the liver content in it. I've tried top quality canned food (Royal Canine/Natural Balance) and she turns her snout up at it.
For the last few days I've been feeding her dry Natural Balance kibble mixed w/ 2oz. of real canned chicken and she ate the whole bowl !!
Is this ok to feed every day?

Should Swanson chicken stock have an inner safety tab?

I'm getting ready to cook some egg noodles with two boxes of Swanson chicken stock. It comes in a cardboard-y sort of container, with a plastic lid that you twist off. I could've sworn that it had an inner tab and that, once you took off the lid, you had to remove the tab as well. However, neither of my boxes had this tab. Is it a figment of my imagination, or should I go back to the store? (I'm leaning toward store already, but I thought I'd ask to make sure)

Is it safe to use Swanson's chicken broth if left out over night?

It doesn't smell horrible, but, the box says to refrigerate after opening. I didn't know that (until now) and I was in a hurry last night. Help, please?

If a time traveler went back in time and killed one person at birth, excluding religious figures, whose death would affect history the most?

It’s really impossible to say. I mean, do we go with the man who was unable to brake in time, and wound up striking and killing Hitler as he was crossing the street in 1919? Or do we go with the cook who, in 1854, served Abraham Lincoln a poorly-cooked sausage, and thus accidentally killed him with food poisoning? Or what about the man who hung the rope swing that young Jonas Salk was playing on as a youth? The rope was badly-tied and he fell, breaking his back. He survived, but was permanently crippled, and never able to enter medical school. The thing is we can’t really say. All of us interact with thousands, maybe tens of thousands, of people in our lives. If any one of those interactions, no matter how mild, was different, everything else down the line would be different. Maybe a barista is rude to you, so when you get home, you’re in a bad mood, and you and your spouse don’t get it on that night. Thus you fail to have a child who grows up to be a serial killer/highly-respected doctor/amazing scientist/great politician/whatever.So there isn’t a really meaningful answer to this question. Which doesn’t mean we can’t have fun thinking about it, of course.

Why cant you dilute swanson chicken broth?

It is already perfectly cooked stock. I have used a can and ran out had to use bullion cubes too and it worked fine. It's all to your tastes. I love cooking!

Does boxed chicken broth need to be refrigerated after opening?

YES, you should refrigerate after opening. but here is the deal. As long as you cook it ( 165 degrees kills off any bacteria) you will not get sick, It might not taste right after sitting out all that time. Smell it first before using. Next time put it in the fridge or better yet freeze it if you don't know when you will want to use it again.

TV dinner, opened box, and plastic was peeled back. Is it safe?

Well, after posting this question and thinking about it, I just threw it away. I was hoping to eat it, because its my last one, and I'm kinda hungry and don't have much else in the house. But Ill just run up to the store and buy something else. I don't think the value I gain from eating a crappy snack is really worth the risk.
