Does The Act Effect You Negatively If You Do Worse The Second Time

Does running completely out of gas have any negative effects on the car? What is the difference between running a diesel and a petrol car out of gas?

Running a gas engine out of fuel doesn’t hurt the engine, but it can have negative effects on the fuel pump.Fuel pumps are either cooled by the gas around them or by the gas that is flowing through them. If you run out of gas, the fuel pump isn’t being cooled anymore and you can damage the pump. Fuel pumps are located in the gas tank in most cars these days. It would probably take several or many times running out of fuel to damage the fuel pump so if you do it once or twice, don’t sweat it. Turn off the key when the engine dies so the fuel pump won’t sit there running. Fill up with fuel and move on with your life. Next time, fill up when the needle gets down around 1/4 - 1/8 tank remaining.Diesels can be difficult to start again if you get air into the fuel lines by running them out of fuel. Of course, you have the same situation as with gas cars - don’t run your electric fuel pump without gas in the tank. shut off the key when you run out of fuel. Fill up the tank before you run out of fuel. Some diesel will start up again if they have an electric fuel pump and you turn the key on/off a few time, waiting for the pump to prime before turning it off then on again. Cycle the fuel pump 4 or 5 time, then see if the diesel will start. If it doesn’t, you may have to manually bleed the air out of the fuel lines. Don’t find out if your diesel is one of those that must be bled when you run out of fuel. Fill up before you run out.

Are there negative consequences for group sex?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for two years now and have a very healthy relationship. We met another couple one year ago and have been hanging out with them regularly ever since. In this time we have become very close with this couple. About two months ago it came up in conversation that they've had sex with other couples a couple times in the past. My girlfriend and I are interested, yet very hesitant, due to negative psychological consequences. We are not fearful of aids or other etc., we would be protected. We are wondering if there are any negative consequences for our personal relationship with each other (my girlfriend and I) such as jealousy and etc.. Our friends said that they did not experience any problems, that it was actually good for their intimate relationship with each other. Is there anybody who has knowledge in the area or personal experience that could help me to know what we are getting in to if we choose to have groups sex?
Note: Both couples are a guy dating a girl. The girls are bisexual but the guys are strait.

I’ve done the SAT 4 times, and I finally got a 1520. Will universities reject me due to the number of times I’ve done the test? In each test, I improved significantly.

First of all congratulations on scoring a 1520 on the SAT. You are in rarified air. If you took the test over the course of several years, as I suspect you probably did, then it is only reasonable that your score would improve since you are acquiring knowledge and skills during those years that help you with an exam that is typically reserved for students in their third year of secondary school. Will an admissions official look down their nose at you because you took the test four times. Some might. Others won't. And unless the school requires you to submit all of your test scores - like Stanford and Yale do - they won’t know anyway. Most schools are schools of choice when it comes to submitting test scores. So you only need submit the 1520 score with your application. You control who sees your test scores, not the colleges you apply to.Tests like the ACT and the SAT are imperfect measures of an applicant’s ability to keep up with their college studies relative to their classmates. You certainly have shown an ability to keep up with almost any student and a willingness to work hard if need be. So give yourself a pat on the back for your accomplishment and submit that 1520 proudly when a school asks for a single score as part of your application.

Is second hand smoke worse than smoking a cigarette?

marijuana has no negative effects on the body while cigarettes have killed millions.

How do your bad ACT scores affect your college admissions? By this I mean when you apply to colleges that require you to send in all your ACT scores. I got a 19 on my first one and a 33 on my last one. Can I still get into competitive schools?

It largely depends.First of all, a 33 is a fantastic score and definitely high enough for any college in the USA. A 19 is not such a good score and is way below averages for competitive colleges. I suppose I will go through a few possible scenarios for how these scores are viewed, but these depends largely on what actually occurred. If these were your only two scores and they were close together, it is likely that you simply made a mistake with bubbling in answers or were unaware of how to take the test ahead of time. If these things were just mistakes and not your fault, I don’t think these scores will affect admissions very much at all. In fact, if, due to your circumstances, you were ignorant of the testing process of the ACT, but then were able to make a huge improvement in a short time between the two tests, then I think this could actually look positive to top colleges. If there were more scores in between the two which followed an upward trend, it is probably going to appear as though you are bright enough to get a high score, but lack are somewhat relying on test-taking experience and strategy. This could negatively effect your admissions since, while colleges won’t go straight ahead and average your two scores, they will likely view you as less prepared than a student that received a 33 on their first or second try (which most students at competitive schools have done the equivalent or more). If the first score was from before your junior or even sophomore year, colleges may scratch their heads over why you took the exam so early, but it probably won’t effect your admission all that much.If these were your only two scores (or two of three perhaps), but they were spaced out over the time of a year or more, it will probably seem as though you were unprepared for the exam the first time (which could have been your own fault or not), but then decided to study/ prepare/ become a better student over the next year and only take the test again when you had become an exceptional student. I believe this would show growth, and could either positively or negatively effect your admission depending on what the specific college is looking for and how you can make this part of your admission.Of course your actual experience may not conform exactly to one of these scenarios, but whether or not it did, you are a qualified applicant for top colleges. You got a score of 33 and should be proud of that score.
