Does The Dao Dua Faith Of Vietnam Still Exist

What do you think of Vietnam when renting land in China for 99 years?

First, I think you need to understand what is happening along the border of China with Vietnam. Thousands of Vietnamese illegally go across the border to seek jobs in China. I would liken it to our problems with illegals across our border with Mexico. I think the Vietnamese government thought to capitalize on that by making some money. They saw how successful ‘special economic zones’ were in China so decided to build 4 of them in Vietnam along the Vietnam/China border. Turns out they under estimated the opposition to it. Not mentioned much, is the fact also was in protest to the government clamping down on the Internet. What apparently galled the protesters was the 99 year lease. But, if you think objectively, who would spend millions to build a factory for a short 10 to 20 year lease or even monthly rental. Maybe 99 years is too long, but it was at that time only a proposal. I think the Vietnamese government thought it was a good idea to make money out of something that was already occurring, but the profits were kept in China. It was open to all foreign countries, but by placing it along the border, it sure looks like it was aimed at Chinese companies.Illegal labour migration to China rising in north VietnamGlobal Companies Manufacturing in Mexico
