I have a Wal-Mart family mobile t- mobile phone and I want to unlock it. Could I then use it with straight talks at&t towers?

Unlocked means it will work on compatible systems.  Straight Talk, AT&T, and Tmoble are compatible with each other.  Verizon and Sprint are compatible with each other. The first group thing which include Straight Talk is not going to be compatible with the second group.A Straight Talk phone is compatible with the first group only.If you have it unlocked it will work on AT&T towers.  Straight Talk has no towers and pays to use others.   When available AT&T is used by default. Look at tmoble to save money

Why is there a Sprint SIM card in my Boost Mobile phone? The Boost Mobile phone that I have came with it.

Why is there a Sprint SIM card in my Boost Mobile phone? The Boost Mobile phone that I have came with it.This is simple. It’s because Boost runs off of the Sprint towers. There are not special “Boost” SIM cards; just as there are not any Virgin Mobile SIM cards. In fact, If you look at most any government phone and pull out the SIM card, it too will likely be a Sprint SIM card.

Do Boost mobile phones have SIM cards?

Yes, most of them do. SIM cards are used to connect to the 4G network only. If you have a Boost phone that doesn’t have a place for the SIM card, then that phone is not a 4G phone. As most new phone are 4G, then most Boost phones Take SIM cards. The SIM card in a Boost phone is only for connecting to the 4G network. Taking the card out of your phone and putting it into an other phone will not work. When you first bought the phone, it had a SIM card already in it. The person activating the new phone would have checked to make sure that the card in the phone was the same card that Boost has in their system. This means that the phone and the SIM are tied together and should not be removed by the end user for any reason. If your SIM card has quit working, then you have to get in touch with Boost; they have to update your account with the new SIM card number. Same thing with getting a new phone, you have to have Boost put the phone’s serial number on to your account.I realize, of course, that AT&T has a different use for their cards but this is how Boost works.Bottom line: don’t take your card from your phone. It will NOT work in another phone until you update your account with Boost.

There is a Sprint SIM card in my Boost Mobile phone, was that what came with my phone or did someone change it?

Sprint operates two prepaid business units. Sprint prepaid and Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sprint. Boost Mobile operates as an independent carrier, but utilizes Sprint’s network to drive its phone services and, thus, also uses Sprint SIM cards in Boost Mobile phones.Sprint prepaid service is operated separately by Sprint and also uses Sprint SIM cards. There are some key differences between Boost Mobile and Sprint prepaid, particularly with regards to data usage and roaming. Suffice it to say that roaming on a phone with Sprint prepaid service will likely give you better coverage than roaming on a Boost Mobile phone. In answer to the second half of your question… No one swapped your SIM card in your Boost Mobile phone. The Sprint SIM card in your phone is the card that was issued with your Boost Mobile phone service.

Can a boost mobile sim card fit in a cricket phone?

Sorry no, Boost walkie talkie and Cricket uses totally different and incompatible technologies. Key difference is Boost walkie talkie has a sim and uses iden technology (this sim , btw, can only be used in Nextel/Boost and other unlocked iden phones. It CAN'T be used with Att/Tmobile unlocked phones even though they have sims. Their sims are called GSM. Also incompatible with iden sims. Most of the world uses gsm). Cricket, Metro, Sprint and Verizon all use non sim technology called cdma. A Verizon/Sprint/other cdma phone can be flashed or reprogrammed to run on Metro in all of the older markets. The newer trimode markets can't do that because their frequency is incompatible with Verizon/Sprint phones and even older Metro phones.

New trimode Metro phones can be used in any Metro market, old or new. There are two types of flashing, full and basic. Basic only does talk /text, full is everything but costs more. Metro Dealers who are not independent can usually only do talk/text/basic flash.

Good luck and hope this info was of some use.

And yeah, Boost walkie talkie's phone lineup has a lot of work to do to make it better.

Boost mobile- Can I put my sim card in another phone?

You can just put your sim in the phone and it will work, but only if your sim is from another boost phone. I do it all the time. Any boost sim card will work for any boost phone... it's as simple as that. You can also use your boost sim in most motorola walkie talkie phones as long as it takes sim cards. There are ways to even use other phones, even blackberry with boost, you just have to unlock the phones with a code.

Can you put a boost mobile sim card in a tmobile phone?

It will fit, but it will not work. Boost Mobile's SIM cards in the US are for their iDEN network. T-Mobile's phones and network are GSM. While both GSM and iDEN use SIM cards, they are two different technologies and are not compatible with each other.
