I want to be a gluten-free vegan!?

YOur mother has been nowhere near South East Asia has she?
Most people in the world don't eat wheat and gluten products. They eat rice. It's very very very very very very easy. Rice flour makes everything your modern wheat does- it makes much nicer noodles, buns, bread, cakes, steamed products.
Vegan, again, I don't understand the mindset of someone who thinks that eating normal food is hard. They must have been brainwashed by the meat and cheese industry their whole life.

Beans- red beans, black beans, and white beans are very popular all the time in most dishes here in Japan. In India, kidney beans, white beans, fava beans ( I LOVE fava beans, also called broad beans), white and black beans, all of these are so easy to eat and prepare. Lentils, split peas, yellow and orange dal etc- EASY cheapest food on the planet and the oldest cultivated crops on Earth.

Eating fresh green veg, herbs, biter vegetables ( cabbage, broccoli, fennel, carrots etc) is a huge health benefit, even I say that and I don't like them.
Also these foods are cheaper, more readily available and easier to store and cook than any other. YOu can eat them raw, or cook and store for ages.

Eating red and orange veg and fruit- pumpkin peppers tomatoes carrots papaya, peaches etc will help your skin very much. Beta Carotene is amzing for you.
Also, cheap.

SO, if your mother does even a short amount of research online she'll see that being veg/an is cheaper, easier and closer to health than anything containing the insides of a scraped out cows teats. Gluten free- meh, I don't like wheat in the first place and I DO like rice much more. I don't now if it'll help the acne, I thingk stopping diary does that much more as well as eating tons of beta carotene, as much as you can. There's no limit on that.

Staying in Greece while Gluten and Dairy free?

I am spending the Spring 2011 semester in Greece. I do not speak any Greek, and I am Gluten and Dairy free. I am quite concerned about a lack of food options, and I do not want to have to live on vegetables for four months. I am allergic to dairy, and I've heard feta and yogurt are staples of the Greek diet. I also don't eat fish, though this is out of preference. I've had bad experience in traveling before, and each time I've lost weight from lack of food options. My program is going to try to help me find gluten-free foods, but I am on my own for cooking and providing my own meals. Are there any grocery stores that carry gluten free foods, or is there a gluten free Greek brand of bread, etc? Any advice or help you can offer would be amazing. Thank you,
