Does The Tea Party Ever Bother To Correct The Racists Among Them

My liberal neighbor referred to me and the rest of the tea party as "teahadists." What is he talking about?

It means that he has no real answers to anything so they play around with catchy made up words, it is in reference to jihadists. He is a numbskull

Is the Republican tea party racist?

Racist? No. Heck, they totally forgot the president was colored.

Why does the Tea Party movement get such a bad rap?

In my view, the Tea Party Movement is basically a movement formed by people who feel alienated by the Republican party. These people would like to see Republicans move back to a more conservative footing.

I hear many sources criticize the movement as ignorant, racist, and hateful. I don't see any more ignorance and hate in this movement than in any other political movement of its kind. Isn't this just a group of people who feel misrepresented and who want to change the course of the country's politics? If so, since when has that been a bad thing for America? Why has there been such a critical reaction to the Tea Party Movement?

I know this can be a heated topic. I'd like an objective, intelligent answer, so if you don't have one, don't bother answering this question.

Is it racist to not like Obama because he is a horrible president?

I will respectfully say that while you yourself are not racist i know quite a few who don't like Obama b/c he's African American. Some from my own job. I have overheard some of my co workers saying they didn't want a n President. Yes while he's not been a great President Bush wasn't any better. I know you may disagree with me but why wasn't the Tea Party created until Obama was elected President? And despite their denials i believe many of them are racists especially with the pictures they display of Obama. Long story short all i will say is that Bush led this country to the worst recession since the Great depression b/c he looked the other way while Wall St & the Banks abused the system & led this country to the situation it's in now. How is that Obama's fault? Bush was the one who led this country into debt thanks to his war of lies & deceit in Iraq for supposed weapons that where never found & the other lie that Saddam was involved with 9/11. Again yes Obama hasn't been great but he has done more to help the poor & middle class than Bush has ever done. Only in America is it considered wrong to give Health care to every citizen. And before I'm accused of being a Lib I'm not. I'm a Moderate who didn't like when Clinton was in office either. And I don't always buy into the division factor that many news Stations like to do these days whether it's CNN, Fox News or MSNBC. They do nothing but cause division, & dislike among people. That's just my point of view.

Edit: I will agree Obama has spent a lot of money. Only thing i will say as well is that it's going to take more than 1 term in my opinion to fix the damage caused by some of our past Presidents. No matter who's the next President should Obama lose next election they won't fix things overnight either.

What are some criticisms of the Tea Party?

Edits in italics—My take on the Tea Party, and my rebuttal to the premise of this question. As with the Boston Tea Party, some (a lot) of people got tired of King George's heavy handed authority in "The Colonies". Most of the debate centers around what the left has been told by the left to the left. Why is the Gadsden flag considered racist? Is it because of the association with the Tea Party?

the gadsden flag is considered racist by those who don’t understand it’s history or even bothered learning a tiny bit about the flag to understand it’s origins and meaning since some white people have it waving on their trucks or have it as a sticker.the gadsden flag was made for the continental marines to carry into battle during the revolutionary american war against the british.Gadsden flag - Wikipediafrom what i can see it says “don’t tread on me”. the flag can mean that the british shouldn’t overstep their bounds or leave the colonies or else they will face a force that won’t give up that will use hit and run tactics to fight their army.is the flag racist? no it isn’t. is it used by racist people? most likely yes (the same thing for the US flag), but it is used by non-racists and US veterans to signify that the government shouldn't overstep their bounds or else.
