Is the role of Government to take money from the rich and give it to the poor?
Is the Government now Robin Hood. "He steals from the rich and gives to the poor". Was America founded on mandatory redistribution of wealth; or was America founded on Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Why does the Chinese government allow China's rich to buy properties in the US?
The Chinese government actually only allows a maximum of 50,000 USD to be transferred out of China per person per year. As such, many Chinese investors have to find different ways to transfer funds in order to be able to buy real estate in the US. Most Chinese have the dream of owning a house in the US. Many Chinese also like to immigrate to the US or send their child(ren) to the US to study.As such, the Chinese families are the ones who want to buy real estate in the US. The Chinese government is actually preventing them to transfer money out of China.
Why can't the U.S. Just print money and make everyone rich?
What people don't understand is that the dollar itself has no value. The paper has no value to it... It's just like a tool we use in order to buy and sell stuff. What gives the dollar value is how much of it is in circulation. If the government were to just print money as they pleased, the value of the dollar would continue to decline because there would be more of the paper in circulation. I don't know if you understand or not what I am saying. As actually the US dollar holds great values in other countries. One American dollar is 100 of Pakistans (the motherland) currency. That is because the Pakistani currency is loosing its value due to just printing money. If you look on the dollar you'll see it says something like the note being "legal tender". It means its just paper. Before legal tender the dollar used to say something like "this note is redeemable in gold" meaning that the paper itself had value. It had gold to back up its value. The value of the dollar wasn't based on how much of the dollar was in circulation
Honestly why should the rich pay a higher tax rate?
people calling for higher taxes on the rich seem to have a twisted view of what is "fair". just because someone is more capable of paying does not mean that they should have to pay. The rich and the poor both share the same exact freedoms and services from the government so why should one have to pay more than the other for the exact same thing. The only "fair" tax would be a universal tax rate. EVERYONE pays the exact same percentage of their income. is it not more fair to have all pay some than some pay all? and its assumed in this universal rate that all tax loopholes and reductions are closed.
Why do people look to government to solve all their problems?
Like health care, why is it the governments responsibility to take care of you? Must have missed that in the Constitution. No one has a right to health care, people can not be turned away in the ER anyway even if their illegal. I do not understand why people believe I should have to pay your health care at gun point. (taxes). Welfare, why should we give money to lazy bastards who would rather pump out 5 kids they can not afford, than work an honest day? ( I know there are exceptions). Please do not tell me paying taxes is patriotic. It is forced wealth redistribution. The housing crisis, how is it my problem stupid people do not know what an arm is? Read your damn contracts, if you can not pay your obligations your screwed. It is not my problem or other tax payers problems. Greedy lenders crap makes me sick, it takes more than a lender to buy a house does it not? It takes a dumb *** as well. Can't find a job? maybe you should learn a new skill, or tough it out and take a lesser paying job. Minimum wage, why the hell does gov. need to tell an employer how much to pay a high school kid, or a complete dumb *** who has made stupid decisions in life? Should their be a maximum wage since there is a minimum? Enough of my ramblings, your thoughts.
