Does This Chevy Trailblazer Sound Good

Is the chevy trailblazer a good car?

The chevy trailblazer is a very good vehicle however, it does have some drawbacks. First, I would consider getting an extened version versus the shorter version. I would also consider getting a 4.6 lit over the 5.3 because it is almost as powerful and better on fual economy. Make sure you get one with 4 wheel drive. Overall, it is a great vehicle for towing or just taking long trips.

Trailblazers are a great option if you're looking for an SUV of that class. I really like the space and performance of the Trailblazer. GM Certified should have some good options for you that will be under warranty and come with certain owner benefits. A test drive would be a great way to get the full feel of one. Best of luck!

Does anyone here own a Chevy Trailblazer?

The trailblazer of old has a bad rep as a pile of junk and it is a well earned rep. However as time has progressed, GM has refined and finally redesigned this model from the ground up. I would avoid any model made before 06. The 05 is ok however there were issues with the engine and ECM (computer control unit) with this model year. Both have since been resolved. The 06 and 07 models are nice SUV's. The crash ratings are good provided you get the model with the side curtain airbags as well. (3 stars driver, 4 starts passenger for frontal impact. 5 stars all around for side impact. It has a RRR (rollover resistance rating) of 3 stars (1=poor, 5=good) more info on that can be found here: http://www.dot.gov/affairs/nhtsa201.htm

Now as far as for a female to drive. If you are looking for ease of operation, I think this fits the need. My mother is 72 and has the 06 LS with over 24K miles on it already. She drives it from Colorado to Arizona and California to visit her kids and grandkids. She says the suv handles like it is on rails and she can drive it long distances without getting tired because of how nice it rides and how comfortable the seats are. She has yet to have a problem in the mechanical area for hers and the only trim issue she has has was with a piece of molding on the back hatch door popping off when she slammed the door. I've ridden in it and the inside is as quiet as can be both city and highway. No wind noise and no traffic noise. However it does tend to muffle out sirens from emergency vehicles a bit much so you might watch that.

Is 2003 Chevy Trailblazer a good vehicle?

they seem to be okay vehicles but i will emphasize that u keep your oil changed regularly and that u not grade swap. if u use 10w30 then stick with it. the engines will sludge in a heartbeat and basically it will cause u trouble down the road when u least expect it.. u have parts like cam shaft position solenoid($100 part plus labor if u depend on a shop to put it on) that help to control your timing on motor and sludge will make it miss read and cause a sudden miss, basically making your vehicle run out of time. thats just an example of how important it is to maintain your oil. be sure to use only dex-cool antifreeze also. i mean overall its a decent vehicle. i've worked on a few and overall they do well.

Why does my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer shake when I come to a stop, only happens when a/c is on?

Here's the answer for you. You have a dirty IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE. It is a part of your throttle body assembly. Buy a can of Amzoil Foaming Cleaner or "Power Tune" (from a Mercury boat store). These are the same thing. Remove the air snorkel from your air cleaner to expose the throttle body. The foam in the cleaner will dislodge the carbon and dirt that is causing you issues. Follow with a Gum-out chaser. For even better results, remove the factory plugs, which are low performers, and install a set of Bosch Fusion or Nippondenso Iridium plugs. You will gain about 10-15% more power, and your A/C will no longer affect idle or power produced. These plugs react with fuel and improve overall drive-ability. You will gain valuable MPG's as well and lower emissions.

How do i make my chevy trailblazer engine louder?

To turn your car into a cop caller why not simply take a hack saw and cut the exhaust pipe between the engine and the catalytic converter.

This will do the best job of annoying your neighbors. It won't take long for them to call the police.

Keep in mind that a six banger will always sound like a six banger no matter what you do. It will only be louder. Also, a four banger will always sound like a four banger no matter what you do. It will only be louder, kind of like an old tractor. Neither engine will ever have the rumble of a V8.

With this new exhaust you can count on losing a good 10% of your horse power and fuel economy.

You will get to know your local police department very well. And if you are lucky, you may also even get to know your county and state police as well.

The nice police officer will give you a piece of paper inviting you to meet a nice person in a black robe. The nice person in the black robe will kindly ask you to make monetary donations to your local, county, and state government.

You will also do your part to help with your local economy. You see this nice person in the black robe will ask you to pay a visit to your local muffler shop. You will then have the opportunity to help this nice person at the muffler shop feed his family. What a gal.

You will then get to see the person in the black robe again. This is because this person will want to see the piece of paper that the person in the muffler shop gave you for helping to feed his family.

So you see. You will get to meet all sorts of nice people with a cop caller exhaust.

If you live in the U.S. you can go to Kelley Blue Book to get decently accurate values for a vehicle's value. However, if you trade in your vehicle to a car dealer expect the trade value to be lower. To get the most value for selling a vehicle, you can sell it privately to someone else.

Are Chevy Trailblazer good on gas. How much dose it cost to fell them with gas at $3.24g.?

I get between 15 and 21mpg with mine it has the 5.3 and a 3.42 rear axle ratio. The 4.2 is about the same if not worse I have heard and most of those have a 4.11 ratio. You are better off with the 5.3 and a 3.42. The 4.2 is more of problem engine then the 5.3. My FIL has the same thing but with the 3.73 and he gets about 14-20.

I have a chevy trailblazer that is making a whining sound when i start it and gets louder the faster i go.?

Our '03 TB did something similar. I wouldn't have described it as "whining" , though. It sounded as though the engined was revved up and got lounder as the engine speed increased. It was the fan clutch. It had locked up. Service dept. said it was EXTREMELY common on the TBs. With the hood open and the engine off (obviously) see if the fan will spin freely by hand. If not the clutch has locked up and needs to be replaced.

BTW, ours killed another one less than 2 months later!

Sometimes on GM products 1 click on the emergency brake will kick it off. Other than this Youtube is your best friend.
