Does This Count As Me Tackling/throwing This Girl Down To The Floor In Flag Football

How to play flag football?

My gym teacher gave me a work sheet on Flag football. Obviously, I don't know how to play. I need very detailed answers on the following questions:

Use the football terms (such as routes, plays, end zone e.t.c.) we used during this unit as well as your understanding of the rules to help you explain the game. Diagrams are also welcome as long as you drew them. Point form is also fine.

Explain with words or diagrams, how to correctly throw (pass or send) a football and how to catch (receive) a football.

Really need your help!

Are you supposed to tackle people in flag football?

You tackle people by pulling off a flag. So yes you tackle them but not by throwing them to the ground. Pulling the flag is called a tackle.

In football should pulling dreadlocks be the same as pulling a facemask?

No. There is not and will not be a penalty for pulling hair in the NFL. The "rule" is that if a players hair is long enough that it reaches the jersey, it's part of the uniform and can be used to pull the player down, therefore it's up to the player to keep their hair short. The rule was named " The Ricky rule" after Ricky Williams, who came into the league sporting dreadlocks. While it isn't a penalty, the official can call unnecessary roughness but that is ultimately up to the ref, and it is widely frowned upon in the league. During the 2013 season, there was a play where defensive end Jason Babin caught running back Andre Ellington by the hair, and even ripped out a couple of his dreadlocks. There was no flag thrown. No hard feelings between players.

How should I teach a 4 year old to play football?

Sorry the other answer was so attacking to you. Seems like jocks make good targets on the internet these days.1. start with the game basics. 2 sides, each trying to score a goal or touchdown. Each side has turns trying to score while the other side tries to stop them.2. Explains Offense, Defense & goals of each. O gets to snap the ball (show them everything as you talk) The Center snaps between the legs to the QB. The QB can run, throw or hand off. Then teach the blockers, catchers, & runners. Don't get caught up on position names. Advance those when you can.3. Safety! If its hitting than teach USAFOOTBALL heads-up &/ or shoulder tackling. Teach fairness= safety. No hitting from behind, in the head, or on the ground. 4. Kicking game is an add on. But again break it down to the basics. One team kicks off, the other gets to run back or fair catch.Proper technique now makes all the difference later. If you don't know it, youtube it, break it down. Remember a 4yr old may have a 10 minute attention span or 15 max for learning. Make sure you intermix games of chase with the football or kick/punt, or just throw & chat. Ask them what they think. 4 is tough unless they are really into it or have older siblings. The other easier way is throw your kid into street a game with 5-8 year olds. The Pack will handle it. (That's I how I learned as a kid.)I have a 3 almost 4y old daughter starting NFL Flag football here in Austin so I feel your pain. She wanted to play because the neighbor boys play football. She is also a diehard Seahawk fan. She has a medium interest so I work with that. The other thing I have found with toddler & little kids sports is that it takes some time to learn how to learn & listen. My daughter has played organized soccer since 1.5yrs old. She was horrible with focus & attention. By 2 she was first in line for each thing & knew what to do. If your kid has never played expect a learning curve on how to learn, or on how to best coach on your end. Teach by doing & showing. Have a ton of patience. Break teaching with exertion.Best of luck!J

What are the consequences of punching someone in the face after you were deliberately provoked?

I normally answer these questions from my current point of view as a legal practitioner. But, as I have personal experience with this particular scenario, I’ll give you this info as a former/reformed hothead.I personally have had someone provoke me; and, I punched him right in the nose. It was a gratifying crunch and he dropped, crying about how sorry he was; but, only for a few minutes. As soon as I walked away he called 911 and the coops showed up to arrest me for battery. So, I went to jail.As that was not my first arrest for such asinine behavior the magistrate decided I could spend the remainder of the weekend in jail until I saw the judge on Monday. The judge agreed with the magistrate and denied me bail, setting the trial for a month away.A couple of weeks later I was finally assigned a public defender who told me about a deal being offered by the prosecutor. I pled no contest to simple assault, they dropped the felony, and, after 20 days in jail I got a quick hearing where the judge released me to my new buddy for the following three years - a probation officer. I ended up paying nearly $18,000 in damages (medical bills), fines and court costs and was chained to a PO for those three years where I had to take time off work (costing me more money each time; and a couple of jobs during those years) to go take drug tests or just come in for meetings. Plus, I got to spend a couple more weeks in jail until the court figured out I wasn’t the one who beat that same guy to a pulp outside of a bar one night. So, if you’ve already done this, good luck (honestly, I got off easy, your sentence is likely to be much worse). If you haven’t punches this moron yet; don’t do it.I’ll leave you with the words that judge spoke to me all those years ago- “Son, there is absolutely no word in the English language anyone can say to you that gives you the right to put your hands on them!”
