What are the advantages and disadvantages of reality shows?
I don't even wanna comment on it. An answer to this question was requested from me and hence henceforth is my reply.They are not real and are ridiculously stupid.I believe that the only advantage they provide is :exposure to people who wish to do well in the entertainment industry.entertainment to brains that don't really wish to exhert itself.Provide relief to people who find great satisfaction in judging others.Teach you exactly how not to behave in public.Provide employment to poor workers who work in the entertainment industry.The poor background winner can get some money.Major disadvantage is thatthey don't provide anything valuable to the society.Nothing of significance is spread around.No brain stimulating content.Spread the false hope that talented people can achieve stardom but in reality the entertainment industry is nepotistic. Connections are all that matter.No positivity is spread around nor do they help in educating the masses.Teach young impressionable kids that insolence is funny and humourous.Don't quote me that they provide inspiration and all because they don't. They are designed around it making us wanna feel that way. Wanna know why? Answer this: why are almost all the participants miserable who have lost all hope in humanity and the show is their only salvation?No novelty. One show became sucessful, now every other channel has its own version. Every country gets it own version.I really despise these shows. Nothing new just more and more stupidity.
What's a good fantasy book series?
My kind of genre too!! (except Twilight) :-) Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landy. These are fantastic, they have lots of fantasy, action , adventure, humour , jokes and in the last 3 books, some romance . They are an amazing and entertaining read! 6 books so far. Exactly what you are looking for. H.I.V.E series by Mark Walden. Lots of action , adventure, a touch of romance and very gripping. Great reads! 7 books so far.. The Medusa Project series by Sophie McKenzie. They have action and romance through all of the books and are really nice reads. 6 books. Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. Lots of fantasy and action in there, and a little bit of complex vocab, though they are very gripping and amazing. A hint of romance in the later books. 6 so far. The Roman Mysteries by Caroline Lawerence. Lots of romance and fantasy, set in the Roman times.

What really differentiates R from Excel?
I recently moved from primarily using Excel to using R almost exclusively. The only time I open Excel these days is to check a .CSV file.For me, the final straw which pushed me to R was this. I was prepping for a meeting one day, and my time was short (as it usually is). The Monte Carlo model I had built in Excel had a mere 100,000 rows dedicated to the simulation, but that day Excel took 15 minutes just to open. I then fought with it to get done what I needed in time. That drastically reduced the amount of time I had to do my work.I realized that there had to be something better. I had played around with R, but hadn’t done anything too serious with it. I immediately spent the next 6 months moving everything I did out of Excel and into R. That same Monte Carlo simulator now has 1,000,000 “rows” of simulation and it takes 30 seconds to run.My life is SO much better now. I admit, I was frustrated by the learning curve of R at first, but I am a stubborn guy, so I eventually figured it out.I now prefer using R in just about every scenario, except for static cashflow modeling of businesses or real estate.At any rate, these were my reasons:Excel Broken. I broke Excel with the level of modeling I was attempting to do. Thus, I had no choice but to seek out something more powerful.Time. Almost anything you do in Excel can be built and executed quicker in R (at least, once you know the language).Robustness. The level of stuff you can do in R is in a different solar system compared to Excel. You want to run linear regressions on 500 stocks? I’ve done this in R—takes about 5 minutes on a bad day. In Excel, that would take you a week.Data access. I underestimated the amount of time I spent just downloading and importing data into Excel. For instance, to get daily adjusted prices of the S&P 500 going back to 1950, I would have to go to a provider, like Yahoo! Finance, navigate the website, get what I need, download it, open it, then make the changes. In R, I simply typelibrary(quantmod)getSymbols(“^GSPC”, from= “1950–01–01”, to= “2018–01–01”)and the data is in the program. Rather than take 10 minutes to get this (simple) data set, I took me 5 seconds to type the code. In that vein, there are TONS of API plug-in libraries for R covering all sorts of data types. This alone is a huge selling point.
