Friends are not friends until you know in your heart that they are. They have to have demonstrated they won’t blab your secrets to others. If s/he says they are going to be there in an hour and they are, great. No show? Woops. You will know when s/he is a friend.

Yes, the best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend because he will not be able to doubt upon your friendshipness,truthfullness,and obidence. You cannot make/force someone to like you. To make someone like us, we start being someone else, or to be precise, stop being ourselves. Don't do anything that is not you. Coz one cannot carry around fake demeanor for long. Once it wears out the other person will too, stop liking you. Always be what you are; good , bad , ugly. If the person still likes us, we win. Else move on.  And if you want him to know that you are interested, just tell him. But be sure about how he pursues your views about him. It is very common of guys to misunderstand a girls interest.
