How sensitive is your sense of smell? Can you make out subtle differences in smells or do you just detect broad categories? For example, can you tell human poop from dog poop - or a specific dog's poop from another dog's?
I dont know about poop differences… but I can say that I have noticed my sense of smell seems to be stronger than those I know at least.I can tell what you recently ate for example, within 3 hours or so from you eating it, just by smelling your breath. Stinkier foods make it easier of course but whenever someone decides to test it (I don’t make a habit of smelling peoples breath) I’m usually right or close enough that they want to go brush their teeth. BF learned the hard way he can’t “sneak” food because of this when I came home from work one day, smelled the air, and immediately asked when he ate my chips. He didn’t even try to deny it, he was so in awe of the fact I could still smell them hours later when he had even made sure to throw out the bag outside.Food is the easiest for me but on a gross level I can tell when my dogs fart is just a fart and when its a “poop fart” indicating an impending need to go outside. Thankfully for my floors, Im rarely wrong on that one either and if ever in doubt I let them outside anyways.All in all its a nifty thing to have but its a double edged sword. Strong “bad” smells effect me more than others. I also cannot physically eat a food that smells bad to me. It doesn’t matter if thats how that food is literally supposed to smell, if it smells “bad” to me I won’t be able to stomach it. (I’ve literally vomited up my meal within minutes when I would try to force this.)I would say that a strong sense of smell is like any sense. Too much of a good thing and it becomes a bad thing. Like people with excellent night vision who can’t handle bright sunlight.

What can you do when you're celibate?
The bible doesn't have clear-cut rules about what's allowed during dating, simply because it didn't really exist. Most marriages were arranged and there wasn't much contact before marriage. I think you need to look to the verses that talk about not lusting, about being pure of heart. Some people take the extreme and say they won't even kiss before marriage. Some people think that anything goes as long as you don't have intercourse. My husband and I did not have sex until we were married. We struggled with not going too far and looking back we did more than we probably should have because I did struggle with lust, with wanting to have sex before we could. So just decide what are "safe" activities for you and your boyfriend. If a goodnight kiss makes you stay awake all night fantasizing about getting to sleep with him, that's too much for you.
