Can a father sell a house to his son under appraised value??

Is it illegal to sell a house to a family member under appraised value? My father in law says it is. However, I do not believe that is the case! Anyone know anything about this?? Thanks!!

How much strength does it take to slash a tire?

its actually fairly hard to slash a tyre . puncture is easier. ideally a thin stout blade like a spear type is best.
weakest place to penetrate with least force being side wall. this area having less internal support from textile belts incorporated in rubber .
best spot being wall near rim of wheel around 2-3" from rim.
this also has effect of making a repair almost impossible unlike outer contact tread pattern part of tyre.
we can also simply cut ( slash ) through outer wall down to internals of tyre without penetrating tyre render it a failure for any car tests. new tyre needed.

noise is soft whoosh mostly for fast deflation. where a very thin puncture has occurred we can actually have a slow loss of air pressure and this can take from minute s to hours to deflate.
thrust force needed to penetrate varies according to tyre. eg lorry is thicker and harder.
around 40lbs thrust on a pocket knife will allow penetration of most thin walled tyres. females can easily reach this.

My boyfriend owns this house, and wants me to go sign some papers to have my name on it 2, sound like a scam?

He is in the army, and might be going on leave soon, so while he is gone he wants me to live in the house. I wont have to pay for anything, I just dont see why I have to sign papers to live in his house while he's gone. Nothing ever comes good out of signing some papers if you dont know what your getting yourself into, so has anyone heard of having to have someone sign papers for you to live in thier house while thier gone, oh and he wants to give me his car while he's gone, but he says I need to sign some papers. To me it sounds kinda of weird. HELP!

My husband is buying a house without me?

Yes, your husband may actually need your signature to exclude you from the deed.

I'm sorry...but living with a man with emotional problems is a nightmare. You have a chance to get out now, and you're reconsidering staying with him. I'm telling you that the majority of people with bi-polar and other similar disorders do NOT recover. It will be a lifetime of struggle for you.

You don't mention anything about kids. Hopefully you have none.

I don't know your situation and I don't know you. I just know from experience that this is going to be a frightful trip for you. You may not see it now, but your happiness is at stake. There isn't just ONE person for each of us. Finding love with a stable man would make more sense.

I personally wouldn't sign a thing...and it will be a blessing that your name is not on the loan. If you feel you need to stay in this marriage and give it a shot, then just let him have his little fun fit where he excludes you. But you should put as much money as possible into a savings account. Because the minute he gets mad at you he will remind you that you don't own the house.

Can I legally change my residential property into an "Alias Name" and then sell it under the Alias Name?

I purchased a property back in Feb 2009 here in Detroit. At first it was in my name and then I had an incident that occured after my dad was killed that placed me in harms way and to avoid anyone causing me or my family any bodily harm in locating us I quick claim deeded off to an alias name. Later my mom decided she wanted to establish her credit by purchasing my property so i set up a land contract (not been registered with city) for her including the sale and monthly cost and had her record a "memorandum" to register it with the city of detroit. This transition fell under the alias name. Can this be done without any legal repercussions? Is the home legally in my moms name? The reason I am asking was mom took out insurance on the home being that she is a Best Selling Author and always on tour to protect her personals while she's away and her home caught on fire. Now her insurer is trying to question her position as the owner becuase of how things were transacted under my alias.

Home insurance claim - water damage from flat upstairs?

If it was not negligence by the person upstairs, then it was negligence by the owner of the building, so it is the insurance of the owner of the building who needs to pay for this.

Ask your insurance company about THAT theory.

They need to recoup their expenses one way or another, either by finding the correct insurnace company to pay for your damage, or increasing your premiums.

Sounds to me like the clerical staff at your insurance company either do not know their own business, or their elevators do not go all the way to the flat upstairs.

I would ask the person who sold you the insurance policy which it is
* hiring clerks to process claims who do not understand the business, or
* hiring clerks who lack intelligence

because you not only need to know which it is, you need to be sure that neither kind of clerk processes any future business you have with them
