Does Ups Require Signature If An Item Is Valued About $500 It

Does a USPS signature confirmation guarantee that I won't get tricked by the buyer?

I'm selling a $500 item on Amazon marketplace and i've heard stories that many sellers get tricked by their buyers (i.e. buyers lying that they had never received the packages and sellers ending up having to refund them)
so- will a signature confirmation (PLUS insurance) guarantee that I won't get tricked by those kind of buyers??

Can i sign a package from UPS if im under 18?

Yes. You don't have to be 18 to sign. You just have to be a responsible party. A 2 year old couldn't sign, but a 13 year old could. Packages don't usually require a signature unless they are expensive items that are insured. Something like a $500 ring for instance. Otherwise they will just leave the package at your door, if it is safe to do so.

What would it cost to ship a 25 inch monitor through UPS or USPS?

Just take it to the post office. Those parcels are hard to give an estimate on. It depends on where it’s going. How much it weighs. And the size of the box. All of that plays into the cost of shipping. And to be honest, I’d take it to UPS to have it packed. They have all kinds of specialty shipping boxes that have a built in sling to keep very fragile things safe and kind of floating inside the box. If the price they quote you to send it is to much, then bring it over to us. We usually beat UPS pricing, but we don’t pack items for you and our packaging supplies are more limited. DEFINITELY buy insurance for it, and require a signature. This time of year, the bad guys watch the carriers and steal packages right off the porches!!! If it requires a signature, the carrier can only leave it with the recipient. And get the insurance. $500 worth runs about $6.00, protect you again breakage.

How can I figure out whether or not I need to sign for a FedEx package?

The shipper of the item should inform you, the default for residential deliveries is that no signature is needed. However in the case of international shipments. valuable items, prescription drugs, alcoholic beverage, ect a signature is required regardless. You can also contact Fedex if you have the tracking number and request to know if a signature will be required.Your best bet if you are unsure is to leave a signed note on your door for the courier, this will cover anything that you don’t to sign for in person (like alcohol). Make sure the note is where they can see it and take it, because if they cannot take the note as proof they cannot use the note as proof.

What is the most profitable business you could start with only $5,000?

I started a business that grossed about US$300,000 some years ago with about US$3,000. I was traveling internationally quite a bit back then and came across a unique hand-crafted product that appealed to many in the gift and ethnic gift market. With a suitcase of product I spent $2500 on a trade show stall and about $500 on gas/hotel/food to attend the show. I didn't have a fancy booth and I lit my product with a few clip on lights that I had spray painted black. I also used black spray paint on cardboard that served as my displays. It may sound tacky, but it actually looked pretty nice and it helped my items stand out.So I loaded up my wares in my SUV and drove myself to the trade show. I booked a cheap motel that had free parking. I ate at burger places. I worked the two-day show by myself and made sure I was always standing and showing my goods while sharing the story of how my items were made, where they came from and what an impact the items had on the local community that made them. Since I didn't have any inventory besides what I had on display, I asked buyers to select a shipping date set for a future time that would allow me to acquire, label, pack and ship the product. I pre-booked sales of just under $30k at the show! With my pre bookings I borrowed another $5000 from family to put toward merchandise and I used credit cards for shipping materials (boxes, labels, scale, etc.) and setup shop in my garage.Within about a month I had a Fedex truck picking up from my home on a daily basis. I also put together a simply, but attractive and informative website on my own and followed up on every lead that I acquired from my initial trade show. Reorders started coming in, new orders from my follow through trickled in and before I knew it I had a real business that I was running out of my home.

Buyer offering cashiers check on Craigslist $500 item... Scam?

I'm not planning on doing anything over Craigslist that requires checks as it's not recommended, but let's say I was dumb and did it. Could someone tell me what a cashiers check is exactly and how someone could fake it without anyone knowing? I'm very curious and want to be cautious. Also, what should I email back to them? Should I say no or should i report the email and name for investigation? $500 is a lot of money to send off in a check...
