Does UTI (Universal Technical Institute) have vacations for students?

Do they have summer, spring break, thanksgiving or Christmas off? Or can anyone who has or is attending a UTI campus tell me if and when vacations are? If it makes any difference, I'm planning to attend the UTI campus in Houston, TX for auto, diesel & industrial technology. Thanks in advance!

Why do schools have spring break? whats the purpose from the schools prospective?

to give students and faculty a break....take time off, recharge, etc. students who work throughout the school year nonstop or those who have fewer and shorter breaks prove to burn out fast and dont do as well academically

How many classes make up a semester at University of Phoenix?

Well, good for you for starting college. Nicely done. Good luck!

U of P - are you at Axia, or U of P itself? If you're at Axia, I believe that each class lasts 9 weeks. At U of P, each class lasts 5 weeks. Depending on how many classes you take per term...

So if you took one class per term, and were at Axia, you'd complete 8 classes in about 6 months, if you take no breaks.

Keep in mind that the classes at U of P and Axia move along more quickly than those at a standard university/college. I mean, at a community college, a semester lasts about 16 weeks - at Axia, it lasts only 9. You do the same amount of work, have the same content to the class, but in a shorter period of time. This is great, because you get more done more quickly, but it also means you need to be on top of your game. Don't let yourself fall behind.
