How long does it take walmart to call for orientation?
how long do they take? is almost a month since my interviews and drug test, I'm not worried about anything bad showing in my drug test and background check I don't do drugs and I haven't been in any trouble, this for a walmart that they're opening next year in January, I'm anxious, I really want this job, I know is walmart, but is a job I'm waiting to be call for orientation for sales associate (cosmetics department), please good answers from people that worked or works for walmart, not walmart sucks, walmart this and that, and your grammar this and that, I don't have time for that, this is serious!!! Thanks.
How long before you get a call for orientation at walmart?
I already signed everything and they ask me to go get my tam and health cards they told me they will call me to schedule orientation and they are just waiting for my background and drug test, it's been a week I haven't received any calls yet.. should I call them back to check? you think they changed their mind? I'm sure I'll past the drug test and background too.. or does it normally just take this long? tnx
Waiting for a call from walmart to go to orientation?
I got a job offer from walmart about two weeks ago which basically means I'm hired I've already gone through my interviews and drug test and the guy said I have the job but I needed to wait to get called to go to orientation. Well I called about a week ago asking about the status of orientation since I hadn't received a call. The lady in charge of orientation said I would get a call within two days and orientation would most likely be in three days because they needed to get a well sized class for orientation. Well three days have passed since the day I was supposedly supposed to get a call telling me the date and time of orientation. So should I be worried that after two weeks I have yet to receive a single call even after the lady said I was supposed to? Should I call back again and ask again? I'm just really confused I've never known of a company hiring someone and then making them wait for weeks just to go to orientation.
Will you be paid for orientation at Walmart?
Yes, after your initial interview you will be given a date for your orientation where you will be given the basic safety spiel, show the exits, and educated on the basic legal stuff. Your time spent will be manually recorded, and you will be paid your “pre-pathways” wages. Your pay will be minimum wage or a little higher for your location until you are put through the Pathway’s Training at which point you will be paid based on your job code.
How long will it take walmart to call me back for orientation, i just got drug tested?
i just got drug tested on friday. its now monday going on tuesday..... i think they hold them on thursday but i dont want them to wait until wednesday to call, plus if i failed my drug test i have a backup crap job but i dont want to wait until the end of the week to get back to them if i failed but if i failed will they just not contact me at all or what?
I missed orientation at wal mart?
I just got hired At walmart and took the drug test last Friday, I don't have a phone so all they have is my moms number to contact me on, she was at the hospital all day yesterday so I wasn't able to stay by it in case they called so I called first thing this morning and they said the hiring manager was unavailable to talk since she is doing orientation all day today, am I screwed out of this job? I plan on calling first thing tomorrow morning to speak with her. What should I do?
Waiting on Walmart to call me back for orientation ?
Hello , i was just wondering how long does Walmart take to give you a call back after they do the background check and send you for a drug test ? I was called on Wednesday 11-14-12 for two interviews , signed some papers and sent for a drug test on the spot . It has been 6 days going on 7 and haven't heard a word from Walmart. I have a misdemeanor but i don't think thats the problem ?? If anybody has gone through this and has more information it would be greatly appreciated thank you all ....
Walmart. Called for orientation. Does that mean im hired?
Ok so i went to the interview. They practically told me i was hired i just needed to do i drug test and they had to do a background check. That was on monday, tuesday i got the drug test done and on friday they called me to go to orientation on saturday. Does that mean im hired? Or do they still need to check out the results?
How long does it take walmart to get back to you after a drug test?
I'm actually management in Wal-Mart and know that it could take up to a couple of weeks for the drug test and background check to come in. It's always a good idea to call back and check up on the status of your interview. It will show them that you're really interested in the job and will help you to stand out above the others. As far as the mix up when the interview occurred. I'm laughing that that actually happened because I know that Wal Mart can get kinda screwy, especially during the holidays. It's almost as if the whole management team is running around with the heads cut off as crazy as it gets. But if you get the job, I really hope you like it because I've enjoyed working there and I always recommend it. It takes a certain type of person so I know it's not for everyone but I hope you enjoy it if you get the job!
I missed my Wal-Mart Orientation. Do I have a shot at making the next Orientation?
I had a job orientation at Wal-Mart. I was thinking in my head that it was Thursday at 9:30. On Wednesday I looked at my notes to discover that I had written down that the orientation was in fact TUESDAY at 9:30 and not Thursday at 9:30. I felt like such and irresponsible idiot. I’ve been looking for that past 2 years for a job, I finally get one, and then I blow it. That Wednesday I immediately called to explain the situation. I asked for the lady in charge of orientations and they said she was taking a couple of days off. I got a hold of the manager and he said that they’d be having another orientation when they had enough people gathered up for one. He said it’d probably take several days. I called 3 different times this week, and the lady in charge of orientations is STILL not there. I’m guessing she’s on vacation or something. I guess I’ll call this Monday and try to get a hold of her, but that’ll make the 5th time I’ve called… but hey, persistence is important in life. My uncle seems to think that I’ve shot myself in the foot by missing orientation. I’m thinking that if I can get a hold of the orientation lady I still have a chance of making the next orientation if I’m nice, apologize and explain my situation. This Wal-Mart is in a rural area, and is pretty modest. It’s about as close to a mom and pop store as a Wal-Mart can get. The employees all seem pretty nice and laid back. I hope they give me a 2nd chance. I figure everyone deserves another shot.
