Does Westboro Baptist Church Endorse Republicans

Is the Westboro Baptist Church racist?

In school, I have to have an example in current events about racism towards the minority. Obviously, the kkk is an option, but is the westboro baptist one as well? Any examples?

What does the Westboro Baptist Church think about Donald Trump?

They have released official statements opposing Donald Trump.Keep in mind the Westboro Baptist Church is 100% progressive Democrat. They make regular contributions to the DNC, their founder ran for public office as a Democrat, and until just recently they maintained a Facebook page supporting progressive Democrats. They officially endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, but dropped that support in 2012 when Obama reversed his opinion on gay marriage.Trump, meanwhile, opposed the transgender bathroom ban and staunchly maintained that he had no intention of reversing the federal recognition of gay marriage. And opposition to gay marriage is the only issue that the Westboro Baptist Church has in common with conservatives.

Why is the Westboro Baptist Church so hyper-focused on homosexuality as the crux of its doctrine, protesting, and picketing?

It isn't just the WBC, the Christian Right has been focused on homosexuality for years. Anti-gay politics have become a wedge issue, a kind of litmus test, and the Republican party used it to recruit Evangelicals (e.g., for get-out-the-vote efforts in the 2004 Presidential election).Still, the WBC has had a clear preoccupation with homosexuality. There's a historical explanation. In 1991, the Phelps family was concerned about homosexual activity in nearby Gage Park. They said that it was a problem for their children playing or biking near the park.  They felt that the Topeka government was unresponsive, so they started a small picket. Their earliest poster was:  "God hates gays   Rom. 9:13". As they received opposition, rather than support, and then push-back on their specific protest, the church escalated its picketing and gradually spread their anti-gay message to other venues. The crux of its doctrine is not homosexuality, btw, but rather TULIP. This is the acronym of 5 point Calvinism.

Why is FOX news calling Westboro Baptist Church a left wing cult?

If you notice, Conservatives generally label all people who do bad things as being "Liberals", because if it doesn't fit in with their agenda that Conservatives are all God's gift to the Earth. And they would be too ashamed to admit that far-right extremism is often behind a lot of wrongdoing.

Example:

Cons claim Hitler was Liberal, Bin Laden was Liberal, Westboro Baptist Church is Liberal, Timothy McVeigh was Liberal, and Anders Breivik was Liberal. All of these people are far-right extremists.

The Westboro Baptist Church is vehemently against gay marriage or gay-anything, and that is the source of their hatred behind everything. They allege that laws in the US (state or federal) which permit homosexual behavior ranging from marriage to civil unions to serving in the military is responded to by God by killing US soldiers, causing mass shootings, hurricanes, and various other disasters. That's why they "thank God" for these deaths when they picket funerals. Westboro Baptist Church is a right-wing movement, and always has been.

Is the Westboro Baptist Church just seeking attention?

The 'godhatesfags' pastor Fred Phelps ran 3 times for governor of Kansas as a DEMOCRAT, twice for mayor as a DEMOCRAT, is *still* registered as a democrat, and he and his family vocally supported Al Gore .

So, is the whole bigotry thing a fraud?? I can't imagine a homophobic, theocratic, possibly racist(they also run "the Jews killed Jesus") man being a Gore-supporting democrat/liberal. a democrat?! No way!

Does incest explain the westboro church?

There is one son ( lawyer who has broken away from the family) but the others even include some state and local government officials here in Kansas. Of course we switch from evolution to intelligent design in school every few years to.

sorry about that we are working on it.

Are Tea Party Republicans and Dominionist Christians one and the same?

No. There is nothing in Tea Party ideas with regard to religion. One can be of any religion or no religion at all and subscribe to Tea Party ideas. One needn't even be Republican. The Tea Party was founded on the ideas that Federal taxes should not be raised any higher than they are (hence the name, “Taxed Enough Already”), that the Federal government should pull itself back to its Constitutional boundaries, and that the Federal government should not spend more than they take in. That's it. No religion, no party politics.Lots of people have co-opted the Tea Party label so as to ride its coat-tails. Don't believe them.Lots of big-government tax-or-borrow-and-spend folk have turned “Tea Party” into an epithet meaning “supporter of Westboro Baptist Church.” Don't believe them either.

Is it true that Donald Trump is a member of the Westboro Baptist Church?

Well, considering that the Westboro Baptist “Church” consists of 100% registered and politically active Democrats who regularly run for office on the Democratic ticket, sponsor a Facebook page supporting progressive Democrats, make regular contributions to the DNC, endorsed Obama in 2008, and vehemently denounced Donald Trump in 2016, I would say “no.” Donald Trump, being a Republican who promised during his campaign to protect same-sex marriage and oppose transgender bathroom bans, is not a member of the Westboro Baptist Church.
