Does Your Family Legacy Affect Your Political Thinking Today

How will winning the election affect pac's performance inside the ring?

As always, Dewey has the responsive skills and creativity of an 8 year old retard.

What is watergate's legacy on american politics in the decades that followed it ?

Well first off the word Gate is compounded to every hint of a potential wrong doing, hoping to make the stink of Nixon's attempted cover up stick to the person under assault. I say assault because most of these attacks prove out baseless, but not before the story is dragged through the mud for a few months.

A second and interesting effect is after Watergate and Iran-gate politicians are quick to check no one on their staff is even thinking about a cover up. It is one thing to do a wrong and quite to another to plan a conspiracy. And guilty or not, a lot staff workers are being dismissed.

Thirdly a lot of politicians are being chased out of office before their time. The personal cost of fending off these muck raking charges can be draining.

Fourthly, when a conspiracy is brought to light, the opposition party kicks up so much dust the public has no idea what to believe. The kerfuffle in the Bush White house over improper dismissal of lawyers is good example of this.

Fifthly every president facing an opposition party dominated congress stands in fear of being impeached - a la Clinton.

In summary I would say Nixon did us no favor letting his paranoia over ride common sense.

What legacy of the reformation had the greatest effect on the people of the United States?

Of course, the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.

Without Martin Luther's reformation, we would probably still be Brits

What will John McCain's legacy be?

He was, at one time, a pretty good politician but he lost a lot of his credibility when he selected Sarah Palin, an absolute air-headed fruitcake, as his running mate. He partially reestablished his status when he showed his mettle in opposing Donald Trump. His vote was the one that defeated Trumps effort to end Obamacare. He and Lindsey Graham once operated in lockstep but after McCain passed away, Graham lost his mentor in life and has, since, latched onto Trump and has shown how stupid he really is.Over the course of his career, Senator McCain served as Chairman of the Senate Committees on Indian Affairs, Commerce, Science and Transportation, and most recently, Armed Services. After losing the election to Barack Obama he subsequently adopted more orthodox conservative stances and attitudes and largely opposed actions of the Obama administration, especially with regard to foreign policy matters. By 2013, he had become a key figure in the Senate for negotiating deals on certain issues in an otherwise partisan environment. In 2015, he became Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee. He refused to support then-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in 2016. He opposed the Affordable Care Act but cast the deciding vote against the ACA-repealing American Health Care Act of 2017 bill.He had those who thought he was a great senator and, again, others who were not so enamored with him. He was a man of principal and did not stoop to the dirty name calling that seems to be the hallmark of Republican campaigns nowadays.

With Priyanka Vadra Gandhi becoming a General Secretary in Congress, is the day near when Rahul would leave active politics?

Rahul Gandhi played his stint in politics, be it family pressure or his own will. He is not at all a bad person. Maybe he lacks the shrewdness politicians have, I don’t know? But he has been quite ineffective in creating some footprints for himself. At least, when compared to his successors. Even when Dr. Manmohan Singh headed our country as PM, he was not much around the news for anything good, except for being depicted as ‘Yuvraaj’ by the media. You can blame on the confidence Congress party used to enjoy those days, 2 tenures in a row and all. As a matter of fact, this not so impressive side of the government gave an easy way to BJP for a landslide win in the elections. I think Congress used to and now also believes in the family legacy while selecting their leader. And that is the question? Why Priyanka Vadra? Why not Sachin Pilot or Jyotiraj Scindia or Surjewala? Why again promoting their own blood? The country needs a leader, not another ‘boss’ from the same family. I would really like Priyanka Vadra to succeed but I really doubt if she would be effective as a leader. Her own husband has a tainted past due to his business interests and favors given to him for it. How can she evade corruption when there is a disparity at her own house? God knows! But I think it’s high time that we discourage favoritism and vote for a true leader.God speed and good luck!
