Does Your Wrist Determines How Many Kids You Will Have

Can you determine a person's age through some sort of medical examination or testing?

If somebody wants to use the scientific techniques for sports persons and young refugees, there is no known foolproof, scientific test that will allow doctors to determine an young individual’s age correctly . There are a few methods like a lone wrist MRI test, using x-ray imaging to look at bone and dental ages but details obtained in these tests will be insufficient for determining a person's age accurately because they don’t tell you about their chronological age. This is because several factors determine a person's bone growth, not age alone.Dental scans are used to determine the maturity of wisdom teeth. These can reach full maturity as early as age 15, as late as 25, or in some cases never fully develop at all.In wrist scans, age is estimated by looking at 20 or so bones initially separated by cartilage, but which progressively move closer to one another until they fuse in the mature wrist. The reference used for this test is a 1959 atlas compiled for doctors to assess healthy bone development, not age. It includes 1000 X-ray images of wrists of white middle-class American children, and the fully mature wrist of a 19-year-old. Yet wrists can be fully mature in children as young as 15.However, the DNA has a process of gene expression called methylation, which gradually changes by turning on or off select genes over a lifespan. This can be used in forensic science to determine a person's age. Using some 200 nanograms of DNA for each age prediction, scientists found its margin of error was 3.75 years for blood samples and 4.86 for teeth. Roughly 80 percent of the estimations were within five years, either older or younger. The prediction error is the smallest with younger individuals and increases with age. The longer people live, the longer their epigenome is influenced by the environment, and consequently the larger our prediction error will become .But remember, this is also not a full proof method to determine accurate age.

Why does a person die because of cutting their wrists?

They might die from “bleeding out”, this means that they have lost too much blood for their body to function, this will most likely cause them to pass out, which will them prevent them from stopping themselves from loosing more blood. The biggest danger of cutting your wrists is that you may hit an artery, this is a thick blood vessel which contains a lot of blood and operates at a high pressure, so if this vessel is severed, the blood will be lost at a higher rate than normally. Occasionally someone may die from sepsis if it gets extremely bad, this would be caused by the person not looking after the wound and letting it get infected. If you are considering suicide or self harm, please reach out for help, because there are people out there whom can help, and better ways to cope.

What does it mean if you have big wrists?

What does it mean if you have big wrists?First of all, what’s considered big? Who’s measuring these wrists and what are they being compared to? Is there really an average for wrist size? How would that even be determined?Questions aside, I really don’t think it means anything. I have small wrists myself, but that doesn’t mean that I’m a super thin person, and I don’t think my wrists set me apart from my peers that much. I can, however, still wear bracelets from when I was 5. If that means something to you, then I’m sorry your wrists are big as you probably can’t fit into old bracelets as well.Sorry to ask another question, but were you expecting something different than that??

How does the pencil test to tell babies sex for pregnancy work- if it goes in a circle?

Recently I did the pencil test on my mom, and again, it gave the history of each birth, in order! I have five sisters, and all but one of us has kids, and the pencil test gave history-exactly!-on each of us! I have read different theories on how the pencil test works, this is how we did it. Threaded needle goes in the center of the eraser on a pencil, dangle the pencil over your wrist, and watch....it will start to go in circles, then it will go up and down (like from fingers to elbow) for a boy, or side to side for a girl, then it will start to circle again, and proceed to the next child. It circled in between each side to side, or up and down motion, indicating it was going on to the next child. My mom had a girl, boy, girl, girl, boy, girl, girl, girl, girl, and miscarried a boy. Then pencil test tracked this perfectly. It completely blows my mind, and I have no idea why or how this theory came about, but I am a firm believer that this test works! Good luck

There is also a Drano Test.

How accurate is "intelligender"?

I have heard that its 50/50 as well. I have something that you should try though... if you want. It has been completely accurate for my family for over 30 years. What you do is get a brand new pencil (not mechanical) and sharpen it so it has a really sharp tip. Then thread a needle, and stick the needle through the top of the pencil like this: ----(_)_________)> (lol, sorry for the bad diagram). Then you dangle the pencil from the string right over your wrist (palm up) make sure the led doesn't touch your wrist, but is just over it.
The fun part: it will first go in a circle to indicate you are pregnant. It will then swing across your wrist from side to side if you are having a girl, and long ways if you are having a boy. I did not believe this one bit until I seen it with my own eyes. My niece tried it at 8 weeks, and it said boy... just had her ultrasound on tuesday, and its a boy!
also: if you have other kids, it will go through all of their sexes too. My sister did it, and she has a girl, then a boy then a girl... and it went girl, boy, boy and girl... the extra boy was the boy that her oldest is having!! haha.. sooo cool!

What are growth plates, and why is only a wrist X-ray enough to determine whether your other bones will grow or not (legs, shoulders, feet, etc.)?

To just a add a tiny bit more depth to the other answers, X-rays have their risks. The radiation causes damage to tissue, though it's not a very big amount doctors will still take it into account especially with young growing children. So the X-ray of the wrist is adequate to give the information required, it's safer as there aren't many big structures unlike some of the other bones, and a hand is easy toanipulate and put into a machine as opposed to something like a leg.

What is the string test?

String and Ring Test: (not scientific)
This "test" can predict whether you will have a boy or a girl. Tie your wedding band or other ring on to a piece of string. Hold this string so that the ring hangs down in front of your belly. The string should start moving on its own. If the ring moves in a circular pattern, you are having a boy; if it moves in a straight line, you are having a girl.

How accurate is the wrist X-ray on predicting height increase? If growth plates are almost closed at 14 years how much more height can a boy get?

No, the original question got it wrong.First, wrist x-ray is not used to determine height increase; it is used to determine age using the growth plates of the carpal bones.Second, growth plates are no near to be close at 14 years old in no population that I know; if there’s one, correct me. They close at different rates within different populations. Check this answer about it: A. Ruiz's answer to When do the epiphyseal plates close and is there a way to tell if they have sealed? This means that according to your population (genetics) you will tend to grow to a certain dimension (i.e. height) around a certain age, but there’s no actual way to tell. Also, there are also other factors that affect growing besides of genetics, mainly nutrition and diseases.

How do you know how many kids you'll have? (in a psychic/ palm Reading way)?

the way you are supposed to be able to see this (from palm reading anyway) is turn you hand to the side so you are looking at the side of your hand with your pinky close to you....now count the little lines on your hand underneath your pinky, that is supposed to be how many children you will have.
