Does "sleepytime" tea work?
Its supposed to work. Worked on my ex-husband! But I certainly wouldn't mix herbal tea with med's. My ex used to do it & he'd hallucinate! He's a freak though!
Can melatonin cause hallucinations if too much is taken?
As William says vivid dreams . Maybe bizarre sexually oriented ones. I don’t know why but had them when I first started taking 10mg . I think I took B6 too or it was in the pill. That makes sure you will. But a lot more Melatonin is not recommended as it can cause insomnia or grogginess in the morning. The brain excretes over night about .3mg so 1 mg is all people need to adjust earlier time to sleep.

Why do i hate to sleep?
Not sleeping will cause mental and physical health problems for you at some point. Have you tried sleepytime tea or other herbal teas and essential oils like lavender and ylang-ylang to calm and sooth you so you can rest? I usually drink chamomile tea before bed and take melatonin every night and I am to sleep even though I feel like I don’t want to. I have ADHD among other health conditions and at times my mind will race with a million different thoughts and I’ll start to obsess over something and not sleep but the tea and melatonin helps me stay calm and relaxed and not do that so I can sleep. I wake up when my body decides I’ve slept enough which ranges anywhere from 4–10 hours (depending on how much I did the day before and how my psoriatic arthritis is acting). If you feel you constantly have to be moving you may want to discuss that with your primary physician to see if you have something like restless leg syndrome or some other medical condition that is interfering with your sleep cycles. I know other people with ADHD who hate to be inside or sleep and want to just be outdoors doing something (working on cars/bikes, building stuff, anything to keep them busy) and they realize it is their ADHD causing it and make conscious efforts to work around that and get sufficient rest and sleep
I had a dream about someone's hand on my shoulder. What does it mean?
In your description, you say you were falling asleep, but that you’d not yet fallen asleep. This is key. Now, there are Scientific reasons for what you experienced. Sleep paralysis and tactile hallucinations, being chief among them. Both can be treated with melatonin or valerian root, commonly found where homeopathic supplements are sold. Talk to your parents, and your doctor, before you start treating anything with supplements, as you may have an as yet diagnosed allergy, or sensitivity to them. There could be other, more paranormal reasons for feeling someone touch you, as you fall asleep. One reason, could be that you were experiencing a glimpse forward, in which your father would be lying beside you. When you went to him for help, it became a self-fulfilling ‘prophesy’ of sorts. You might have been visited by a ghost. Probably, a family member who you were comfortable with, when they were alive. Most spirits won’t touch the living, unless they feel threatened, or they have some connection to them. Since you were falling asleep, I can assume you posed no threat, so it’s really nothing to worry about. You, also, might have been affected by the horror movie you watched, just before going to sleep. The brain processes information in odd ways. Before going to bed, after watching or reading something from the horror genre, try going through a series of relaxing activities. A warm bath, meditation with calming scents like lavender or citrus, a cup of Sleepytime tea, a foot massage, writing in a journal, measured breathing techniques, are just a few of the ways you can help calm your mind, and fall asleep more easily. Thanks for the A2A, Shin Jaemin. I hope my answer helps.
I take depakote & trazodone to sleep but it doesnt work what else can i take?
Trazadone is an antidepressant, so if you have problems with anti-d's like some with bipolar, that could be part of the problem. It could also be that you mood is not fully stabilized. My pdoc had me on Lunesta but it wasn't enough. I then started Seroquel and it did the trick. My pdoc's thinking was that the I wasn't totally balanced. Now that the rest of my meds are tweaked pretty well, we are lowering the Seroquel. So far, so good. So, that's my recommendation. Talk to your pdoc about that med. It's an antipsychotic that adds some stability. It also is the most sedating one of the atypicals out there. PS - avoid the benzos. They're too addictive. You'll forever need more to sleep. Work on getting stabilized or using a sedating stabilizer instead.
What happens if you take sleeping pills with an energy drink?
What happens if you take sleeping pills with an energy drink? Most energy drinks contain caffeine, which is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant. Sleeping pills tend to be CNS depressants. Best case scenario: they cancel each other's effects. Worst case scenario: the CNS depressant action gives you brain fog (tired, can't think) while the caffeine makes you restless (can't sleep). It's not a combination I'd recommend trying.
