Dog Always Pees Inside The House

My dog just peed inside 5 or 6 times in a row?

My puppy (well he's 5 months) is probably 95% house trained. He never poops inside, and the only times he pees is when he is excited, or I take too long getting ready to go outside. But just today, I got back from a long walk and he had a big drink of water (as usual). Since he got super dirty playing with another dog, I put him right in the tub and washed him. After washing him, I took about 40 minutes blow dry. I decided since the floor was all wet and dog smelly I'd wash it and take him out when I finished (about 2.5 hours after his big drink...which isn't normally a problem). While I was washing the floor, he peed. I figured it was because I should have taken him out sooner or something, so I told him "NO!" cleaned it up, and kept on washing the floor. I know I should have taken him outside right when I caught him peeing, but I figured I was in the middle of scrubbing the floor, and he'd already peed, and he KNOWS he isn't supposed to, so I may as well wait until I'm done to take him out. Then he did it again! And again! And again! He peed 6 times, I think. And the times I saw him do it, he was kind of slinking and had his tail down, like he knew I was going to yell at him, so he must have really had to go since he does not like being shouted at! And they weren't excited pees, he was spreading out, and just peeing on purpose. It seemed like a substantial amount, too. Not like his excited pees which are just a dribble. I took him outside after I got done cleaning the floor (and all of his pee!) and he peed AGAIN! From the first inside pee to the outside pee, only about 8-10 minutes passed. Do you think I should call the vet? It's a holiday so it would probably just annoy them if I bothered them because "my puppy peed on the floor" but it just seemed so out of character, and like a lot of pee. Do you think it just seemed like a lot because he really had to go, and I was ignoring him (bad, I know) and he was just letting a bit out at a time because he knows he isn't supposed to, but he couldn't hold it because it was too much? If it's relevant, the "puddles" were between the size of a baseball and a basketball's circumference. He is a small dog, 14 lbs.

Why does my dog poop outside but pee inside?

i have a 6 month old bulldog. when he needs to poop and i havent taken him out he will sit by the door. now, WHENEVER i try to take him outside he almost immediately pees on the carpet. I am getting very frustrated. I have tried putting he lease on him to walk him outside but he literally sticks his paws out in front of him to pull away from me and pees on the carpet! I really can't believe this as I know that he knows what he doing is wrong. Does anybody know how to stop this?

My male dog always pees on the curtains...?

GET HIM FIXED! It really does work believe me. I know. At least you know he is not doing it to be bad he is "marking his home". They do sell sprays that are suppose to keep him from peeing on a particular item, but that just means he'll go pee on something else.

How do i train my dog not to pee inside the house?

Have you ever seen "It's Me or the Dog"? You can learn a lot of great training techniques on that show. Victoria Stillwell usually tells people to take the dog out every hour, control when it has water, take it out to the same spot you want it to go on, and use a word like "potty" repeatedly until it goes. Then, lavish praise on it using that word again. Also, if you see the dog sniffing around, take it outside immediately. You should crate the dog when you're not home. It will not go in the crate. It will learn to hold it longer.

How to discipline a dog for peeing in the house?

Don’t punish your dog. This is counter productive and will make things worse. Firstly, is your dog a puppy? Has it ever been housetrained? Is it getting enough excercise and attention? If it’s an adult it may have an underlying medical problem. Take it to a vet for a check up. Ruling out any medical reason, stick to the following plan no matter the age of your dog.take the dog outside first thing in the morning, after every meal, periodically throughout the day and last thing at night. Stay outside with your dog until it toilets, this may take up to 5–10 minutes-do not shut the door and leave it outside alone.each time your dog toilets outside, give it LOADS of praise, over excited happy praise, then bring it inside for a food treat. If your dog does not toilet outside, just bring it back inside, just say nothing. No treats no praise. But also NO telling off.when your dog toilets inside. SAY NOTHING, no shouting, no scolding and DEFINITELY NO SMACKING. These acts will either make your dog anxious which result in a scared (or aggressive) dog which is likely to House soil more often. Just quietly-saying nothing- clear it up.BE CONSISTENT. This is key. If you are, the dog will quickly understand that something nice happens when it toilets outside. This may take weeks, sometimes even months, but it does work if you stay consistent. Please don’t think that it will understand that something bad happens if it toilets inside therefore it will stop, that’s not how it works, fear and confusion make for an unhappy dog.Good luck!

My puppy pees inside after being outside?

Our Dog Meeko is a Golden Retriever and he is 18 weeks old. He has been a great pup. He is starting to get use to walking, he is playful inside than outside, and he is always happy. I take him outside every hour and I walk him. Today we came back from our few hour walk and when we came inside he started peeing all of the sudden. Now, how is this possible? He has never peed or poop outside house ever! I have been doing research and it never explains why do dogs pee and poop inside while they been have been outside for hours. I know this isn't magic. I thought puppies can't hold their bladders but seems like my puppy is the opposite. This is annoying yet amazing. The dog pees when there is a sealing on top of his head and a floor below his feet but when he is at a place with a sky above him he never goes potty. I don't just want advice. I want to know how is this possible. I demand an explanation I want to know if he is doing it on purpose. He is suppose to pee and poop outside by accident. How do dogs know if there inside or outside? Should I trick him into thinking he is inside when we are outside? What?! YEAH YEAH YEAH it's not his fault yadda yadda. No one cares! You and I both know that I'm looking for a SUPER AWESOME EXPLANATION. Puppies don't know how to hold their pee right? So how is he not peeing outside while I have been their for hours? The same minute we come back from outside the the same minute he goes to pee. Other than that I love him so much and I would gladly appreciate your help.

Thanks! :-)

If i beat my dog when it pisses inside the house will it make him stop or what'll happen?HELP?

You are a really bad dog owner. If you beat your dog when it pees inside it's because you didn't train him properly. I hope someone reports you and you get charged with animal cruelty.

Rottweilers are the such faithful dogs who will give their all for their owners and you want to beat this puppy? This is one of the easiest breeds to train. You are failing your dog. He's a 7 month old puppy.

Rehome this Rottweiler to someone who knows and appreciates the breed and who will train him properly.
The wrong kind of people (wimps who want to look tough) are buying this breed and giving the breed a bad name.
Man up. If you're going to keep this dog, take him to obedience class because you don't know how to train him.

Why does my dog pee in the same spots in the house even if he’s the only dog?

Maybe it's got nothing to do with it. Your model for dog leadership needs work.I usually address peeing indoors by temporarily but severely limiting the dog’s indoors space. It's reverse reasoning, but having a small, indoor space triggers Nature's triggers to trigger the dog to keep that space clean—giving a dog full reign of the house deactivates the trigger.* We think being nice to the dog will be the best way to prevent almost all problems, but here's one case it typically backfires. (Don't be nice to a dog—be its leader. They're not the same behaviors. It's far more effective and better for the dog when you're being patient and demanding than when you're being nice. Nice is for humans—patience and being patiently demanding is for dogs.)The dog's limited space is something you keep in place until it's clear he's learned the new bathroom rules. Then, the indoor space is slowly increased to help him generalize the same bathroom rules to the slightly larger space. Repeat, until he's generalized the bathroom rules to the whole house. If he pees inside, you went too fast and you messed up, not your dog. This assumes you're your dog's calm, patient leader. If you're not his calm, patient leader, he's likely to go back to peeing. Conversely, if he pees indoors, it's his indicator that he doesn't consider you his leader, and you've got some work to do.Dog's require leadership—don't deliver nice.*IMO, it's the confined space that's the trigger. It's a subtle point, buta small space is theabsence of a large space. The dog's mind-and-brain detect what's there—not what's missing. To dogs, confined spaces are a trigger.

Dog peeing inside during winter?

we have a full grown whippet (like a greyhound) that pees inside every winter. she always pees in the same spots and only does it during winter. we let her out every time she wants to and to help encourage her to go out we give her a treat when she comes back in, although she likes to try and trick us by not actually doing anything outside and trying to get a treat. when I can I watch her to see if she actually did anything, but im not always watching and I don't always catch her. how can we stop her from peeing inside, its getting really annoying.
