Dog With Lumps On His Butt

What is the lump on my buttcheek?

What is the lump on my buttcheek? Not enough information. At the same time, too much.Dear Anonymous: Did you sit on something?Have you seen your kid sister’s pet gerbil recently?Have you washed in the last 24 hours? It could be something dried on there. If this lump seems to be a personal health problem, there is a whole lot of people who have studied these things in depth, and can tell you what it is most likely to be called (a ”diagnosis”), and offer to sell you something to put it right. Go see a medic. Or a paramedic. Or even ask a pharmacist.Or even an experienced homeopath who will not mess you about with side-effect laden medication but treat you the patient rather than lump the disease, making it less likely that lump the disease will crop up again in multiple other places because your overall immunity has been compromised by antibiotics. If it is firm, immovable and painless and seems to be attached to bone, still go to a medic.Or you could spend time on the internets, doing image searches, and get lots of spurious input leading to PTSD. Or else embark on a study of medicine either on your own or at a series of medical schools, and after seven years or so you may know that it is probably best to go ask a medic about such things. It may have gone away by then. Or not. Or it may have spread. No small furry animals were hurt or frightened in construction of this response.Loosely related: A mixed experience of NHS care for my infected lump

Dog has large lump above his balls and below his butt, what is it?

My boyfriends little brother has a pomeranian about 2 years old and I have noticed a large lump on him. It is above his balls, under his butt, and about the size of a golf ball. Does anyone know what it could be? I haven't called the vet because his mother doesn't want the dog to go to the vet. Im worried it could be something bad so if anyone has any idea of what it is that would be great!

Why does my dog bump his butt against me?

My dog always bumps his booty against me or my mom, and he looks over his shoulder. It's pretty funny because I'll tell him, "drop it like it's hot, Monty" and he will go faster. But why do some dogs do this?

My dog had a large red bump on his butt, and now it broke open and is bleeding. What is it, and what do I do?

OH MY GOD!!!! i would first freak out and go to a vet

Big bump near my dog's butt? Please help!?

It sounds like an abscessed anal gland. I've provided a link for you about anal glands. They are pretty nasty glands! I really think this is an abscess. It's a good idea to get him to the vet. Let me know how the vet visit goes! My Alaskan Malamute, Byron, had something very similar. He had a lump on his butt the size of a blueberry and it turned out to be nothing more than a lipoma.

Why does my dog bump her butt up against the furniture?

is she bumping or rubbing? does she scootch her bottom on the floor? certain breeds of dogs are more susceptible to needing their anal glands drained. impacted anal glands can cause itching and discomfort - it's something that you would want to have a vet do since it's a bit gross and stinky. not sure if this is what you meant.....

My dog has two tiny white bumps above his butt!? Help please!?

Hi,

Any form of lumps in dogs can be scary, but it sounds like your dog has what is referred to as canine papillomaviruses. The dogs most commonly affected with this type of skin growths are older dogs and small breeds especially Cocker Spaniels, Jack Russell’s, as well as Chihuahua’s.

However, there is also one other very common theme with this form of lumps in dogs or skin growths: immune suppression. Any type of long term therapy can causes immune suppression, but it can also develop if you do not supplement your dog’s diet with some type of nutritional supplement especially if they are prone to these growths.

Most of these small white bumps will have a very small dimple in the center of them and you can see it if you look very close or use a magnifying glass. This s referred to as inverted papillomas, which sounds exactly like you are describing.

They will appear in three areas: inside the rear legs, their abdominal area, as well as their buttocks area. There is no specific treatment for them other than giving your dog immune building vitamins, as in almost every case it is an inherited condition, or they can be removed by surgery.

However, take a breath and relax as they are by no means dangerous in the vast majority of cases and will go away on their own if you build up their immune system. But there is a small chance that they can develop into squamous cell carcinoma which is extremely dangerous.

If you only see a few of them there is most likely no issue, however, if you see a lot of them suddenly appear, this is a real warning sign.
