Dogs Vomiting And Diarrea For Two Days

My dog has diarrhea and been vomiting 3 days now. HELP?

It's been three days now. The first two days my dog have been vomiting yellow liquid along with some blood. She have also been having small diarrhea 4-5 time throughout the day.

Today is the third day and the diarrhea seem to have reduce to 1-3 times only and I have yet to see her vomit. I guess this mean she's getting better but just to check, what should I do?

I read that I should not let her eat 24 hours so her stomach can clear out and rest up. I also heard afterward is should feed her id can food to digest easily?

Should I continue to walk/exercise her just to get her out of the house?
I'm going to a vet tomorrow but I just need to know whats the best thing I can do at the moment. Is this normal by the way?

sorry for so much questions. thanks!

Why is my dog vomiting and having diarrhea after being neutered?

Vomiting/diarrhea after a surgical procedure could be related to a possible reaction to anesthetic, medication, pain, or the stress of the experience. Please follow the veterinarian's instructions... usually vomiting/diarrhea care instructions are: nothing (no food or water) by mouth for 24 hours; then, if vomiting/diarrhea has stopped reintroduce small amounts of water only for the next 24 hours; if still no vomiting/diarrhea then slowly reintroduce food on day three. If, at any point, the dog restarts or continues vomiting/diarrhea, call your vet aglain as there could be something more serious going on.

My dog is vomiting, panting, shaking, has diarrhea. Help!?

He is a 6 year old beagle. Over the past two days or so he has been panting and having diarrhea (not bloody). He also vomited a few times. Now, he is shaking and shivering. He doesn't feel very hot for a fever. I'm extremely worried, he's sitting here shaking and panting and smacking his mouth, probably because of mucus and vomit residue. Please help!

He has no underlying medical conditions, and I've been giving him plenty of water to keep hydrated. He hasn't stopped eating. I suppose that's good.

Please help!

Dog throwing up and has diarrhea?

Hi I'm dog sitting for my boyfriend and his dog has been throwing up and having diarrhea since he left two days ago. She hasn't been able to keep food down either. Today would be day 3 for this. The other weird thing is, she is chewing on the plants outside and it's not grass. He said it's from him leaving but I'm beginning to think otherwise. Any take on what it could be? Should I take her to the Vet? When is it necessary to take her to the Vet? She's still very active and all.

How can you help a dog that has been throwing up for two days?

Your best bet is to take him to the veterinarian. Prolonged vomiting will result in dehydration and electrolyte abnormalities, both of which will make him feel worse as well as worsen his prognosis for treatment and recovery. It may well be that he just got into something that didn't agree with him, but wouldn't you rather have good news now than bad news when it's too late?

My dog has uncontrolable diarrhea, is vomiting and is not eating. What is wrong with her?

Yeah. I completely understand it, how you said people say "Go to the vets!" You're trying, hun. It's the best you an do. No worries.

My dog was like this once. Exactly the same. It turns out she got some food that didn't make her happy. She ate some fertilizer for my garden. She got an upset tummy. Dogs are kind like us. If our bodies get a bad thing they don't like, we try to get it out. That's foo poisoning basically. She probably got a cleaner, fertilizer, chocolate, loads of sugar, onions, or something else dogs can't have. Maybe try evalualting what you have been eatting. She could of eaten the scraps. Is there cleaner or other stuff left out? Have you changed her food recently? Sometimes dogs stomaches don't do well with dramatic food changes. She also might have an allergy.

So, put up her food. Make sure you leave lots of bowls of water laying around for her to drink. My dog also got dehydrated from her diareaha and throwing up too much. Then, keep a close eye on her. Take her out often. I recommend laying towels down where she plays or puppy training mats. If not, okay with her in the kitchen or some place that I'd easier to clean. Not the carpet. Dont work her too hard either. If she wants to play, play. If not, don't force her. Good luck and hurry to the vet hen you can go! Xx

How can I treat my dog who has bloody diarrhea and vomits constantly?

In short, you need to TAKE YOUR DOG TO A VET OR ANIMAL HOSPITAL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, this could be a life threatening condition. There are many reasons why a dog’s stool would have blood or mucus. It can indicate:An upset stomach from eating bad foodInflammation of the colon (colitis)Internal parasites (such as roundworms)A viral infection (like parvovirus)A bacterial infectionAn intestinal foreign bodyCancerAllergiesAutoimmune disorders (such as inflammatory bowel disease)Unfortunately, seeing blood and mucus in your dog’s stool or vomit is only a symptom of something wrong. It doesn’t identify the actual cause of the problem.Throwing up blood -- also known as hematemesis -- is almost always sign that something is wrong. The bloody vomit may appear as red and fresh, formed into clots, or partially digested with a resemblance to coffee grounds. The medical conditions that could cause your dog to throw up blood include:Stomach cancerTumors of the stomach or esophagusStomach ulcers (which can be caused by some medications)Kidney diseaseLiver diseaseHormonal imbalanceHeartwormInflammatory bowel disease (IBD)Toxin ingestion (certain plants or heavy metals)ParasitesBacterial or viral infectionGastritis (chronic or acute severe vomiting)HGE or Hemorrhagic gastroenteritisClotting disorders (ingestion of rat poison can cause improper clotting)Trauma (including eating something that injures the gastrointestinal tract, also called foreign body ingestion).Best of luck!

Does Seresto collar cause vomiting in a dog?

We had already taken off the collar. Hopefully she will stop the vomiting. She is not interested in food (understandable) and right now is sleeping. Mercy, these dogs (and cats) get into your heart. We have tried every shampoo and collar possible to try and control fleas on the dogs here in Virginia. Thanks for the words of wisdom.
