Dont Illegals Have Just As Much Right To Be Here As We Do They Do All The Work Spend All The Money

Do undocumented workers in the U.S. not spend their money in the U.S., but instead send earnings to Mexico and Central America?

OK you journey 100’s of miles, with the plan to reach the United States. You finally arrive at the border and find that in order to cross from the Mexican side you have to pay the “coyotes” their fee. So being the lucky one you paid the right coyote and you find yourself in the United States, now completely penniless for everything the trip cost. You find work in a restaurant washing dishes. They pay you 8 dollars an hour. So you are now making around 1280 dollars a month. But you cannot sleep in the street so you need to rent an apartment. But guess what, the apartments costs around 800 dollars a month. So that leaves you with 480 dollars. You want to send cash back home but wait, you also have to buy food. You find in the US there are no street vendors, nor local farmers markets where you can buy cheap food. So you have to go to the supermarket, and realize that even eating ramon noodles you are going to spend around 400 dollars a month. So ok, now you have 80 dollars left over. You put aside 40 for personal expenses, and now you have left over 40 dollars to send back home. Not really a large benefit now is it? So how do undocumented workers find a way to send money back home? If they have to pay rent, buy food and consume in the US like everyone else?Quite simple, you share your 1 bedroom apartment with 10 other undocumented workers, and you all sleep practically on top of each other. You don’t indulge in anything, don’t party, don’t drink beer, don’t go to the movies. You go to work, and then go home.Sound like much of a life? Its a pretty ugly sacrifice that someone makes in order to be able to help their family that they left behind in another country. But 1000’s do it daily. But the undocumented worker definitely is not living the high life, nor taking advantage of anyone. Rather suffering and living miserably in order to sacrifice for their family.Pretty damn admirable if you ask me.

Why dont we take the illegals and replace them with homeless people?

If we took all the homeless people and gave them the same jobs the illegal people now have we would fix all problems. This way we could also take out welfare. People who did not make any money because they are too lazy to work would be forced to work. All illegal mexicans would be kicked out of our country. We would slowly come back up in funds for our country and the United States of America would be a much better place to live.

How do illegal immigrants live in the USA?

It is relatively easy for illegal immigrants to live here because -

- unlike many countries, we have no national ID; the only proof of eligibility for employment required is a Social Security number on a flimsy piece of paper that anyone with a PC and printer could make. Companies that employ illegal immigrants either don't know or don't care. Some employers like large farms and meat processing plants prefer illegal immigrants because they won't complain if safety or labor laws are broken.

- no proof of legal status is needed to rent most housing. In fact, in Massachusetts and some other states, an illegal immigrant can get state-funded public housing. In all 50 states, illegal immigarnts can qualify for public housing through their children born in the US. These children, like all other children born in the US, can get food stamps, WIC, TANF cash payments, and Medicaid, too.

- a driver's license is needed to drive, and some illegal immigrants are deported after being caught without a license, but many states wink and smile at illegal immigrants who drive without a license. Three states still give licenses to illegal immigrants.

- the federal government does not have the resources to track down and deport an estimated ten million illegal residents. Many state and local governments actively resist the federal government by passing sanctuary city laws forbidding local police and others from asking about legal status.

Illegal immigrants?

THANK YOU!!!! I'm glad somebody understands this issue
I totally agree with you if we don't do something soon America will no longer be the land of of opportunity or the free and SOME Americans talk about immigrants like the Nazis did about the Jews and I completely agree with you I'm an immigrant Mexican to be precise and we are great people we are very hard working and don't ever let any racist tell you otherwise or brainwash you into thinking we aren't I know there are some bad apples but don't ever think we are all like this because we are not oh and by the way a lot of the bad things that you hear about immigrants are lies like them not paying taxes my family has been here since I was 7 I'm 13 at the moment and every single one of those years my dad has paid his taxes on time and we aren't lazy or uneducated my dad leaves for work at around 7a.m. and he comes back at around 10p.m and people who complain about illegal immigrants I highly doubt you would be willing to do the jobs most immigrants do oh and VIVA MEXICO THE USA AND THE WHOLE WORLD!!!!!!! AND
THANK YOU FOR READING MY MESSAGE AND HAVE A NICE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Illegal Immigration Debate...?

I want to know what the basis of the illegals amnesty argument is?
-it seems to me that if you enter another country without their permission or invitation than you should have to leave.
how is that different than if some guy broke into your house when youre at work and refuses to leave when you come home and not only that but eats your food, watches your tv, uses your electricity and spends your money.
-is there a feeling of entitlement among illegals? do they think its their right to live in the U.S

is their argument based on that they have lived in the U.S for a long time and now they feel they have the right to stay even though their lengthy stay was due entirely to their illegal entry and elusive lifestyle while in the U.S?

all I am saying is justice is supposed to be blind, if you break the law than you should be accountable the same as everyone else. its against the law to sneak into the U.S so dont be angry when youre thrown out like trash

Should the children of illegal immigrants be granted American citizenship, if they are born in the United States?

I think they should be granted citizenship because overall, it's better for the U.S. that way. These children are born in this country and we spend tax dollars to educate them and send them to school for the first several years of their life. Once they graduate and are looking to get a job, they can't, because oops! they're not legal citizens. They can try and get citizenship but will likely be deported and thus all the tax money we put into educating them goes down the drain and all the skills they learned here in the U.S, they apply in the country their parents are from.  It's a lose/lose situation for everyone. We spend time, money and resources educating students that we then send to lead successful lives somewhere else.Plus, we're essentially punishing children for something they played no part in. They didn't get to choose where they were born. I know that when we think of illegal immigrants, we think of children from Mexico, but those aren't the only immigrants. They could have had parents that left somewhere like Afghanistan or parts of Africa and then we're going to take an 18 year old kid, born and raised in the U.S. and deport him/her to Afghanistan because his/her parents did a bad thing and didn't get legal citizenship? We could be sending teenagers to countries where they don't even speak the language. They were born in America. They were raised in America. They're Americans plain and simple. There is no logic in punishing children for crimes that they didn't commit. When parents make mistakes, we don't send their children to jail. So when parents immigrate illegally, we don't deport their native born children to strange, foreign countries with no means to survive.
