What are some country songs that everyone knows?
Jambalaya by Hank Williams. That song is pretty well-known in Singapore where I live in, and it has also been translated into Chinese right here, showing the song's popularity within the region. Another country tune I can think of is certainly I Will Always Love You by Dolly Parton. Most people know the famous (and definitely great) Whitney Houston ballad version, but this song was originally a country tune written by one of the greatest musicians within the country genre. Last but not the least, Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver is another one I can think of. Almost all people from my parents' generation that I have met know or at least have a rough idea of this song, whether in bits and pieces or the whole overall tune.
What are good country songs with lots of bass?
There are quite a few country songs with good bass. Some of these are newer but they still have good bass.^^^Don Williams “Turn out the Lights And Love Me Tonight”^^^Merle Haggard “Ramblin’ Fever”^^^Brad Paisley’s “Ticks”^^^Brooks and Dunn’s “Neon Moon”. This one has a great bass line^^^Johnny Cash’s “Hey Porter”^^^Alabama’s “High Cotton”. This one has a bouncy bass line^^^Don William’s “Amanda”^^^Don William’s “Come Early Morning”^^^Josh Turner “Long Black Train”^^^Brad Paisley’s “River Bank” (this one has the most bass of them all; almost blew out the speakers in my truck with this song)^^^Montgomery Gentry’s “What Do You Think About That” (this is the song I blast when I am angry)^^^Brad Paisley “You Do The Math” (he combines Merle Haggard with Johnny Cash in this one)^^^Neal McCoy’s “Billy’s Got His Beer Goggles On”^^^Tim O’Brian’s “Long Black Veil” (I know this isn’t fully country, more folk, but it has the best bass I have ever heard)^^^Don William’s “I Believe In You”^^^Hank William Sr.’s “Kaw-Liga” (one of my favorites)^^^Dierks Bentley’s “What Was I Thinkin’”^^^Brooks and Dunn’s “We’ll Burn That Bridge”^^^Don William’s “Tulsa Time”^^^Glen Campbell’s “Try A Little Kindness”^^^Johnny Horton’s “North To Alaska”^^^Johnny Cash’s “I Walk The Line”In general, older classic country has a lot of bass. There are also a few artists who tend to have a lot of bass in their songs.Johnny CashMerle HaggardBrad PaisleyDon WilliamsHank Williams Sr.Brooks and Dunn also has some pretty good bass guitar lines in their songs.
