Dow We Get More Charges In Postpaid Internet Plans

How do I change my Vodafone postpaid plan in India?

Go to any Vodafone store or mini-store, preferably in the same state where the SIM belongs to and give a request, take proof of your ownership too…

Is Airtel postpaid 3G Internet roaming free?

Yes, Airtel postpaid 3G Internet plans offers free roaming for incoming calls. You can use your active Internet pack while you roam across India and there will be no additional cost. They have super value tariffs for postpaid users. Airtel postpaid rental plans start from Rs 99 and they have customizable options for their users. For some of the higher value plans, even outgoing on roaming is free. You just need to get connected to your network provider by changing the phone’s setting. You must ensure that your network selection is on manual mode. For more information, you can get in touch with the company.

Do roaming charges apply on internet usage in India?

No absolutely not.I travel a lot and have been persistently unhappy with the service providers, so i have been a customer of BSNL, Vodafone and currently Aircel, though i can vouch for Airtel and Reliance as my parents have it. I use 3G and have used the same on all the networks mentioned. All you do is recharge your data and make sure you do not run out of the limit while Roaming, otherwise you would be charged enormously. Some networks like Aircel have unlimited internet like if you run out of your 1GB even then you can use the internet at a reduced speed of 128kbps(more like no internet, but whatsapp works) but only as long as the 1GB's validity time in not exceeded. As in the same Aricel 1GB data recharge is valid for 1month. So within 1 month if i am on roaming and my 1GB is consumed then i continue to use internet at 128kbps. But if its been past one month and you are on roaming, you get charged. The same is the policy of probably most other networks, just take the unlimited internet out of the scenario.

Is Jio sim postpaid or prepaid better?

So, I had a conversation with one representative of Jio while porting my number. He suggested me to go for Prepaid. The main reason was Prepaid is cheaper than Postpaid. How? Although the plan rates appear same, but we forget one catch. Prepaid plan recharge is inclusive of GST, while Postpaid plan charges are Exclusive of GST. You will end up paying more money when you go for postpaid.

Which Airtel service is better: prepaid or postpaid?

I have converted from airtel postpaid to airtel prepaid. I'd explain why.I was using the plan “Unlimited 399/-”. I was getting unlimited calls (local + national + roaming incoming), 100 local /national SMS per month and 10GB 3G/4G data per month (no daily limit on the data). Inclusive of all the taxes, I was paying 489/- per month. After converting to prepaid, I have recharged with the plan 448/- (Incl. of all taxes) which is valid for 70 days. I get unlimited calls (local +national + roaming incoming), 100 local/national SMS per day and 1GB per day (i. e. 30GB/month or 70GB/70 days)So I'm clearly saving around 300/- per month. Moreover, I'm so frustrated with the network quality that everybody is complaining that they are unable to reach me on my mobile. Same case if I have to place outgoing calls. And I couldn't use even 100MB of mobile data in the last 3 - 4 months even after the data gets carried forward, due to their poor network quality. So I'm not ok anymore to spend 400 bucks per month when it's not worthy.Airtel lost its valuable customer who is feeding them from the last 5 years (yes, I was a post paid customer for 5 years till today) just because of their network quality. And their service quality has become pathetic these days. I have so far registered around 10 complaints (1 per area) since they want me to raise a separate complaint for a different area each time and the network is not improved even in a single area after repetitive complaints. Now, I'm slowly planning to move out of Airtel, but the first step is to stop generating revenue for them when they are not serving me good. Now, you can decide if you would like to go for postpaid or prepaid, or a different service provider altogether, but that’s my experience with Airtel

Why am I getting a bill amount more than my Airtel plan?

I assume that you are subscribed to an Airtel Postpaid Plan. And I also assume that you’ve not availed any Airtel service outside of your plan. In the recent times thanks to Reliance Jio, Airtel went on a Give-away Spree, Giving away promotional Internet data to its postpaid users for free. I make another Assumption here that the Internet data was not covered in your initial postpaid plan and you got your free Internet data from Airtel, what Airtel didn’t tell (out-loud) you before giving away free data is the reason for that spike in your monthly bill. I don’t know if they have mentioned it in terms and condition of the promotional offer or not.Postpaid plan from any Telecom Carrier charges all the service(s) that they provide. I guess that’s the way postpaid plans were first introduced as. As because you didn’t signed up for Internet data under your plan initially, and all of a sudden started availing your free Internet data had amounted some extra charges in your bill for availing Internet Data Service. Here’s what I had to do - Called up 121 and asked them to waive off extra charges and also Sent a SMS to 1925 with STOP in the message body. ( To stop the Internet service charge - Yes you read it right just ‘STOP’ all in CAPS)

How to check that the number is in postpaid or prepaid?

it is difficult to do. i would suggest few options. look wat is feasible for you:
1. Dial customer care from landline - and provide your friend's number. it will give you some ivr options-that will depend upon prepaid/postpaid in most cases.. for eg. postpaid will have account information, billing details, plan change etc and prepaid will have balance, validity etc.
2. if u can get to use ur friend's mobile, dial the common balance enquiry number for that service provider - generally it is *123#(for airtel), *125#(for aircel), *141# (for vodafone). if it is a postpaid number, you will get a message that the option is invalid.
3. Best way, ask your friend directly :) :)

What is the difference between a corporate postpaid connection and an individual postpaid connection?

Hi. Being a Telecom Guy I can answer the connection very well.An individual connection will be like any other prepaid or postpaid connection you buy from market with call rates and monthly rental being open to all. Call rates could be on a higher side if not equal to corporate connection. Also you need to apply various packs to get the discounts on calls, messages and Data.On the other hand a corporate connection are of 2 types.Company OwnedIndividual OwnedCompany owned corp connections are owned by company and given to the employee to use. The ownership of the connection always remains with company and any changes in pan and other benefits can only be done by company. Usually the plan is much cheaper as compared to individual connections which is negotiated with the telecom company at very beginning.Individual Owned corporate connection is owned by the employee but with a special plan for the company employees. Again the plan is specially designed for the company employees and may not be available in the open market. In this plan any changes can be done by employee itself. Main benefit of taking a corporate connection is CUG (Company User Group) in which all calls and messages or a defined number of calls and messages are free among the user group.Only thing to consider before taking a corporate connection is to check what is the definition of CUG in that Connection. Whether the calls are free among CUG members in the same state or PAN India.Whether the CUG is applicable to CUG Members of other companies as well in same state as well as pan India.
