Drop Out Of Uni After 4 Weeks

Should I quit my job after 1 week?

talk to your manager about everything, the problems you are having, the people yelling at you, etc. see what they say, see if its possible to change times to when its less crowded and less people around,

dont be so hard on yourself. it was your first day. hell i dont know anyone that has done their first day without stuff ups. give the job a chance. business's dont like people quitting the first day. give yourself a time limit, say 3 months. at the end of the 3 months sit down and think about the job, whether its good for you or not, then decide if you want to quit.

its better off to be in a job you dont like just to get the $$$ so you can save up to get a better job (courses, study, drivers licence etc) than to not have a job at all.

Considering dropping out of uni?

Can you change flats for next term? For next year? Can you change courses? Can you change *universities*, if it comes to that? These are all things that might be possible. Check into it.

And yes, possibly you won't be able to find friends to live with for next year. So live with a new group fo strangers. Why not? Take a chance, see what happens. The new people may be cooler than your current flat mates.

In the meantime, join some clubs and activities, starting next term. Find things you like to do, and join up. All of the others in that club will share that common interest, and friendships tend to form. So try.

See where all this takes you, then decide your next steps.

Should i drop out of University?

Put the boyfriend issue aside for a moment. Even without him as an issue, it sounds like Swansea was a poor fit for you. The idea of going to a different uni that's a better fit is, IMO, a good one.

Your year at Swansea was in no way a waste of time. If nothing else, it's shown you what you do not want in your next uni, and given you an idea for the things you really want to have. Whichever uni you pick next, make sure it gives you the things you want to have in a uni. Perhaps that's closeness to home, but it's more than that as well - make sure that the unis you apply to next fit you well. Visit them. Spend some time there. Get a sense of the feeling of the place, and the people.

Ask the unis to which you apply if they can grant you any sort of advanced standing for the work you did at Swansea. Sometimes, this is possible, and it's certainly worth asking about.

I want to join the Royal Marines after University.?

Ok, i will have finished uni in either 2 or 3 years, depending if i do a placement year. So i will be either 22 or 23. Will i have passed my physical peak by that age (i am 20 now) making it much harder for me than those slightly younger? i row and play ice hockey so i'd say i have a pretty good level of fitness and strength already.

I could be wrong but i don't think i'd have a problem getting through PRMC, it's the 32 weeks i am worried about, what is the drop out/failure rate and can you start over if you fail?

I am not one for routine, i get bored very easily and i feel a career sitting in an office may not suit me in the long run, although i may enjoy it to begin with, it wont last. Originally i wanted to join the RAF as a fast jet pilot, but i am color blind so that idea went out the window.

Americans please don't answer this unless you know what your talking about, just because you are/were a US Marine doesn't mean you know what your talking about, British Royal Marines are on a whole other level to US Marines. No offense intended.
