Dropped A 2 Litre Bottle On Foot Very Bruised And Hurts When Touched Or Moved In Certain Ways Help

I dropped something really hard on my foot and now my toe looks like this. Should I just leave it to heal or go to the doctor?

Am a nurse. I worked years in the urgent care. We have seen many of this.Depending on how hard the object (and how heavy it is), the bone in your toe may not have broken, or cracked. But what is happening is that you’ve hematoma, which is basically a bruise. Normally it’s not a big deal, but you’re bleeding under the toe nail-that is causing the pain.Eventually your toe nail may fall off (but it will sooner or later grow back). To relieve the “pressure” under the toe nail, a doctor will use a paperclip (I am not kidding about this), and quickly poke a hole in it. You’re asking how in the world? He’d light it with a lighter first (until it glows red from the heat). This is not something you should do yourself as it is like trying to give yourself a shot, or draw blood from one’s own arm.At the urgent care that I worked, we use this http://www.liveactionsafety.com/...They will certainly x-ray it to see if the bone of the toe is broken. But guess what? You won’t get a cast or put into one. They will “buddy tape” it. You can use a scotch tape and tape it to the next toe. This will stabilize it.Do not wear regular shoes until you’re healed. Normally you’d be wearing an “ortho” shoe (it’s ugly as hell) on that foot. But really, a good sandel will do. Regular shoe (dress shoe, tennis shoe) will be too tight (to put on and off).Keep the foot elevated and if this is ‘fresh’ injury, ice it. It will help with swelling. If it’s a few days, heat will help with the bruise. For pain - tylenol / advil will do.We had a patient who dropped a bowling ball on his big toe when he was home (no shoes on). His toe kinda exploded. He needed surgery to repair it.Best wishes.

My foot hurts when I move it a certain way?

The same thing with me. When i move my foot down (like you said) i get this akward stinging feeling. You have nothing to worry about because its like the same thing if you bend your thumb to much and you get this feeling. It hurts cause we arent that flexible to put our foot down that much. Does your foot hurt when you walk? If not trust me you have nothing to worry about because you are not the only one. :)

How can I reduce belly fat within two weeks?

I totally agree with Vivek’s answer.Let me add few points from my end.Stop playing the mind music and chatter of people telling you “Lose Weight” The process of losing weight is the process of self-realisation that health and fitness is a journey of happiness and you want to take the first Step. No one out there can make you take the first step.People like me can inspire you to start your journey but the motivation to take first step comes from within.Start slow and make sustainable changes. Saying no sugar from tomorrow is a good goal and the best if you can stick to it.But, If it is difficult to stick with, reduce your sugar in take to half in first week and then reduce it further in subsequent week to get to no sugar destination.Sugar is not only in chocolates, sweets and evidently sweet items. If you remove all sugar containing items from supermarket, You will see only 20 % products remaining . It is present in almost all the processed food.Get yourself into no sugar, less salt and no refined flour food habits. These will fix 90% of your bad dietary habits.Increase your water intake to 4 to 5 litre. Plan it that way.Drink atleast 2 glasses of water when you wake up.Don’t underestimate the green vegetables. They are the ones which provide you key nutrition. Include salad in your food like cucumber, carrot, tomato, cabbage, broccoli, avocado.Take raw fruit rather than juices.Keep your fibre intake adequate.Take isabgol to reach to your fibre target.Include atleast two teaspoon of flaxseed in your diet.Decrease the intake of simple carbohydrates .Fill yourself more with sprouted moong tadka, sprouted chana tadka.Keep protein intake to adequate.Prepare your dal with veggies like bottle gourd, cucumber, green peas.Include eggs, cottage cheese and soya chunks in your diet.Add good fats like avocado, walnut in your diet.Ghee in moderation won’t harm you.Include HIIT workouts in your routine.Lift heavy atleast two days a week.Plan your workouts,Make it exciting with the help of good music, variety of workouts. All the steps listed above are written after trying them on myself. Here are the results.

How does it feel to be sexually abused as a child?

It Kills a part of you from within and leaves you numb all your life .They say childhood is the best phase of your life and no matter how your life turns out as you grow old , childhood always remains the most special treasured memory .Though people who have gone through child abuse are effected physically, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. When I started my graduation, I met this girl (now my best friend) and in matter of no time we had a lovely understanding and frequency.Eventually we got very close , I became a part of her family almost . In general she is such a bubbly girl , but then there was something within her she never spoke about. One day I confronted her and then I knew she was abused as a child by a her servent help when she was 3.She spoke about it with a straight face, no tears , no sigh .When ever she and her friend went for playing when they were little , her help would also play with them. He made a deal with them that when ever any one of them dropped a catch (ball) he would take them in the corner and do something that would hurt them down there .The two little innocent souls never understood what was happening with them .. All they knew it caused a lot of pain . Both of them never spoke about it to their parents (they were just 3)Anyway her father got transferred and they moved out of the place with in an year. She realized all these when she learnt about rape , intercourses , reproduction , in her adolescence. When she ended I had tears rolling down my cheeks , she held me close and said it's okay .I never knew how she managed to be Okay with such a thing. She is a student of psychology . (Brilliant at it ) She is very strong emotionally, yet there are times she falls weak .she went through depression ( not the "depression" that people mention for being upset or sad, but the Actual mental depression ) and came out of it all by herself .Yes , a part of her is dead . She has issues talking about her intimate thoughts or sexuality preferences . She is actually afraid of intimacy .Child abuse not only breaks you down as a person , it keeps haunting you and leaves a Deep scar for Life time.

If I use meth regularly, what should I keep an eye on, health-wise? Are there any specific medical tests my doctor should run? Are there indicators in my blood work? Should I notice anything with my body that indicates the start of a problem?

Please refer to my other answers on related questions, but in short form:Hydration (Keep a water bottle with you, drink regularly, meth raises your core temperatures, hides normal body warning signals, lets you do a lot of self-damage through exertion without feeling the pain.Electrolytes (Gatorade rather than water if affordable, or a little salt and sugar with all the water you drink - replacing the water without the balance of salt and sugar can interfere with the body sending signals electrically, etc. Some salty trail mix, etc. works)EatFeet (Out walking, impaired gait, etc. Clean Socks, Baths, Properly fitting running shoes)Teeth (Brush, try to teach yourself to be aware of clenched teeth, chew sugar free gum, keep your jaw moving not just clenched hours on end)Avoid secondary drugs - especially alcohol, opiates, barbiturates, benzodiazapenes. It complicates matters drastically and can either kill you through OD or through creating complicated mixed psychiatric states. If you have a GP or psychiatrist, try Seroquel, Olanzapine, Resperidone, Valproic Acid, Lithium,No reason you cannot have a psychiatrist, doctor, counselor while still using, try to maintain a connection with at least one professional who is supportive and patient who knows everything and you trust. If something happens, or if you suddenly become ready to make big changes, getting the pieces in place can take too long.Once the meth stops working, ask yourself whether increasing doses or frequency of dosing is really doing anything, or just becoming a pointless, dangerous action. Consider keeping a little journal or seeing what the minimum dose you can get by on is, lowering a bit each day. Try to return to oral ingestion if possible.Have a bug-out plan for emergency and/or when you are finally ready to do anything to stop, or if you lose touch with reality: Pick a hospital or a counselor/clinic you feel like you might entrust your safety to, have an emergency contact written down, a little bit about yourself and how much meth/how long/route of administration/etc.Don’t give up on yourself and remember that while it is a long journey to come off meth and return to happiness and full functioning, it is one you can make when you are ready. Meth is powerful and complex and self-hatred and blame isn’t helpful or warranted. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s easy or painless.Good luck.
