Dry Skin Help Girls Help

Help! girls... i don't have a skin care routine!?

well this is my skin care routine, ( the products i use or rely gentle and won't harm your skin!)

Morning:

rinse my face with warm/hot water(to open pores)
exfoliate with ST.IVES EXFOLIATING APRICOT SCRUB
wash my face with my SPECTRO JEL FOR ACNE PRONE SKIN
rinse my face with the same temp. water (to kill germs)
then rinse my face with cold water (to close pores)
then use my SPECTRO JEL DAILY FACIAL MOISTURIZER

This routine has helped my skin so much, i tried so many products that were either to light, to strong, that dried my skin, that gave me a rash, & that just didn't work for me

this routine, is great the products used or even for the most sensitive of skin, and will restore moisture, the spectro gel, is just a cleanser, and doesn't exfoliate which is why i also use the apricot scrub.

;) a bottle of spectro gel is $11 for a LARGE bottle
the moisturizer is $6
and the scrub is $3

and you only need to buy more every 1-2 months. so it is $20 a month or 2.

Dry skin on face cause of tanning ? help!?

I use to have the same problem. Try wearing spf so your face doesn't burn, or cover your face half way through the tanning cycle. That's what I would do. Also you might want to get a nice face scrub, st. Ives makes decent ones, to help get ride of the dryness. Make sure to get a nice face moisturizer and put it on right after you tan. Or you could get a moisturizer with spf and put it on before you tan. Just get spf 15 so your face will still tan but is less likely to burn. Hope this helps cause I have so been there and done that!

Dry skin around mouth? Please help!?

Thank you so much for all the responses. On another question like mine someone recommended vitamin E, does anyone know about this? I start using proactive less often but still need to use it regularly (teenage acne). What exactly is vaseline? A few of you mentioned it. Is it a moisturizer? I have sensitive skin so I just need something that will moisturize my dry skin without breaking my skin out. I have used aloe gel by the ocean potion company and that soothed it but broke out my skin after, it isnt intended for facial use I guess.

I'm a 17 year old girl, and I've struggled with acne and dry skin since I was 13. I've tried almost everything under the sun. What can I do to actually treat and cure my acne?

To be honest, your age has A LOT to do with it. Your skin is a lot more volatile as a teenager and it’s much, much more difficult to control. I had a lot of issues as a teenager too because of hormones and growth spurts. Trust me, it will get better as you get older :) Here’s what you can do now to try to control outbreaks as much as possible:Wash your face regularly, but dont be too rough- be gentle with your skin and use a toner when you’re done. (Try rose water or apple cider vinegar as a toner.)Avoid touching your face - THIS WORKS WONDERS. I know it’s tempting to brush our fingers against our face to feel around for acne of dry spots, but you have to stop. Carry face tissues if you have a habit of touching and wiping your face.Drink LOTS of water. If you want to see results fast, then I suggest you drink 3 litres of water per day- It’s crazy how well your skin will start glowing. All the toxins get flushed out of your system; It’s like a constant cleansing that takes place internally.Try tea tree oil. In my experience, tea tree oil has been great for curing acne, pimples or break outs. I use a roll on because it’s easy to apply. Don’t worry about which brand to get, just make sure you’re getting authentic tea tree oil- mine is unbranded from a local (roadside)Ayurveda shop in Kerala.Hope this helps! You can read more of my beauty and fashion opinions on the blog below. My Makeup makes my skin look flaky/dry! HELP!?

Hi everyone, as you can tell from my title I'm having make up troubles. Also, just so you know I'm a teenage girl.

I have combination skin, which means that I have both oily AND dry skin. Starting around December 2012 my make up started to make my chin and nose look like they were peeling, when it was just the make up. At that time I was using Covergirl outlast stay fabulous foundation. It was working great at first but then like I said, it made my nose and chin dry up. By the way, I do moisturize. So then I told my Mom and she took me to MAC, I was so happy because MAC is really high quality and I thought everything would be better. I told the girl I have combination skin and that I need a foundation that wont dry me up, so she recommended the MAC mineralize moisture foundation. She tried it on me and it looked flawless. So, I bought it. After a week of using it my chin and nose went flaky again. Then I bought higher end moisturizers. It still made my chin and nose dry. I got even more frustrated. Then I asked alot of my friends what foundation they used. The majority of them said that they use Maybelline's Fit Me foundation, and the powder. So, I bought those. The powder is great, but the foundation still makes me flaky. Incase any of you were wondering, I wear make up because I am getting some acne, not the worst, but it still makes me insecure. I dont know what I am doing wrong, but I need major help! If someone is a makeup artist, or has had this problem before but solved it please help me! I would go without any make up but I'm not even that confidant with the make up on. Also, if you've had this problem and got it fixed, could you suggest the new foundations or moisturizers you wear? Thank you in advance to everyone, I just want to get this problem solved and feel good again!! :)

By the way, the same thing has happened with some BB Creams I've purchased.
