My daughter uses a Nintendo DSi with an R4i card. When she tried to load the games from the card today, the following message appeared -"system date error! please check NDS system date" I have tried going through the settings etc but I still get the same message. I always insist myself to write a functional code. If your function goes more than 100 lines without some special usecases then you need to rethink on that and divide it.Now the advantage of doing this as per your bug finding approach is you have a functional code that you to test easily. You can write unit test case for each and every function so it would be easy for you to debug down the code and find the culprit line(s). I write the unit test case for every possible scenario that I have thought of before writing the code. Even without test cases you can check inputs and output of every functions with logs or debug and track down.
