During The Summer Vacation Can I Work Full Time

Should college teens work full time during summer vacation?

When college teens go away to college and come back home for the summer, should they take up a full time job? My mom is arguing with me and telling me that all of the college teens come home and work a full time job. I already have a part-time job in which I work at all year-round, along with other small jobs on the side. It makes me angry when she says I should go out and work all day on the one break I actually get. I work my but off during the school year and really look forward to summer break. Don't you think college students should have a nice relaxing break in between years? I still live at home and don't need to pay for any bills whatsoever. So tell me what you think.

A college student earned $7200 during summer vacation working as a waiter in a popular restaurant.?

x= amount of money at 10% and y= amount of money at 9%
x+y=7200⇢⇢y=7200 - x
replace y in the next equation
.10x + .09y=680
.10x + .09(7200 - x) = 680
.10x + 648 -.09x = 680
.01x = 32
x=$3200 at 10%
y=7200 - 3200 = $4000 at 9%(just in case they ask for it)

How much money do will i make working full time during the summer?

Depends on your minimum wage and how much you want to work.

At least, you will work maybe 20hrs a week. This summer has about 5 weeks.

20x5=100 hours

Minimum wage varies by province from $6.00 in BC to 11 in Nunavut.
But that's not quite what you'll "make" because of taxes. A rule of thumb is the tax man takes 1/3 of your earnings (CPP, EI, Income Tax and others). So take you 6x100 or 11x100 and multiply it by .666666666 to get your net income for the summer.

Its anywhere from $400 to $733

Summer vacations can be extremely useful if spent in a productive way. Back in my days we used to start playing cricket from morning 6-10 and again from 12-2 then from 4-dark. All this in Delhi's hot climate!There was no Quora or internet then. However, gradually I learnt to use my vacations in a productive way. 10 ways to spend your vacations in a productive way:Focus on health. Do you get summer vacation in college?

Yes, you can take the summer off for summer vacation if you choose. You are not forced to take summer classes while you are in college; really, you are not forced to take any classes during any semester; you always have the option of total withdrawal.

Many colleges will offer summer courses to those who want to take an elective course that isn't offered during the regular school year, those who need to retake classes they failed, and those looking to get ahead and maybe graduate early. The choice is yours!

I still like to be able to get up and go have fun during the summer- traveling, camping, staying out late, but I still take summer classes as well- through online classes. They can offer a great alternative to traditional classroom learning, because you don't have to show up at any set time, you can do your homework at 2am if you choose and submit it online and take your tests online too. It is a great way to learn in the summer!

Can a teenager work full time in the summer?

If you're asking if it's legal for a teenager to work full time during the summer: Yes, yes it is. I work at a restaurant and I work 40 hours a week or more during the summer. Obviously you can't work full time during the school year, but in the summer, definitely.
If you're asking if it's better to work full time or part time: It depends on your priorities. If you really need the money and have a good work ethic and time management skills, work full time. It's not unmanageable or horrendous. If you just want the money for trivial things or if you want to have a lot if time to hang out with friends, work part time.
I hope this helped.

Can we cover tution fee by working part time during normal days and full time during summer holidays in Australia?

Yeah that wouldn't be a problem. You just need to ensure you budget well to cover your tuition fees, rent, living expenses etc there are thousands of students doing it every year so why can't you? :)I've posted a comment on another similar question and details below is relevant for you to get an idea of how much you can earn and where to go.If you need help let me know I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.You can earn minimum $17.29 per hr"national minimum wage for award/agreement free employees will increase to $656.90 per week ($17.29 per hour); and. modern award minimum wages will increase by 2.5%.Jun 8, 2015"Source - Annual wage increase from 1 July 2015 If you want a complete guide of common industry wages you can go here Pay guides - Minimum wages - Fair Work Ombudsman And or you can go to sites like Gumtree, CareerOne, MyCareer and search casual jobs to get a good idea of the types of jobs you can get that works around your study schedule and visa conditions.P.S. ensure you adhere to your visa conditions. How much can an international student earn during his vacation period in Australia?

There are a lot of variables to consider but assuming you have the correct visa that allows you to work and you can find a job and you have time outside of your full time studies let's do a rough estimate.You can get an idea of what the semester dates are here: Key datesSay you manage to find a job that let you just work 4 x 2 week intervals. I doubt it would be so simple, more likely you will get a casual role or part time job for some hours each weekend and the employer will want you to work every Friday and Saturday night serving drinks or cleaning, or maybe you have some special valuable skills but for the purposes of your question let's summarize that you got8 weeks of part time work5 days x 6hr days30hrs x 8 weeks240hrsAnd let's assume you earned $20/hr because for whatever reason your were offered a bit above the minimum wage. If you work casual hours you will get a higher rate and weekends you get a loading too but for our example you dont.240hrs x $20/hr$4800Which is well under the point at which you would pay tax if you are a resident but you aren't so the government keeps $1,560 tax to pay for the services we all like to have so you get to keep $3,240.You can test the figures yourself herePay CalculatorSo you see the problem right. Unless you know the rate of pay, whether you will be working night's or weekends that result in loadings on your rate and what hours you will be working this is really just a speculative imaginary scenario.Plus unless you are gifted and already have terrific English and you want to understand your subjects and get good grades then you will need time to read and study and probably want time to go out and establish friendships and enjoy yourself too.There are considerable protections and rights for employees in Australia. You would be well advised to be at least reasonably familiar with them so that you will be alert to any unusual sounding job requirements or conditions.https://www.fairwork.gov.au/how-...
