Dyeing Black/blonde Hair Brown

Can you dye black hair blonde?

QUESTIONCan you dye black hair blonde?Yes, you can - it would probably need to be double process that might cause some damage.  Also, have you ever had a different hair color before? Are you doing all over color? Another thing to consider is how fast your natural hair grows.  You'll have black roots (if that is your natural hair color) showing in a month - seems like a lot of upkeep.Have you considered maybe blonde highlights?  The right shade and placement would be SOOOOO cute (and not as much maintenance)!ENJOY and Good luck! :-)

Dye Dark blonde hair black?

no need to dye brown first black is the strongest color it will cover any hair colors it's the blonde one that is difficult to achieve because you have to lift the color with bleach before you can have the color you want. you can use black color straight from the bottle mix the color with developer use glove put it on leave it on according the the instructions from the box then wash it out with warm water.

Dyed black hair to bleach blonde?

Well, I have gone from black to blonde, and as U probobly know its not easy!! U tend to develope alot of red or brassy tones.... My advise, I think U should use a "haircolor stripper"- U can get this at walmart or let a professional do it- this will get all the other colors out that youve put in (especialy scence youve died it black). Then it will be easier to actually "bleach" your hair. As far as the damage goes- plan on using hair conditioning masks and hair serums- Jon Frieda works best for me and keep it trimmed to reduce the frizzy look. Also, a good hair straightning iron can work wonders for shine. Dont get the cheep ones they wont give U all the benefits of a good iron. And if U use hairspray, I like the "freeze hold" in the pink and white bottle at walmart- it makes my hair stay in place like no other hairspray and gives it great texture. Its in the isle with the urban sheens and hairproducts. U should try this stuff even before you color again...Youll never use another hairspray.(Best used when not straightened cause it is a super hold spray used for finishing and holding your hair). Hope U take my advise with the coloring and let me know how it turns out!!!!

Hair Dye- Blonde to black. How many times would I need to dye my hair?

Well if it doesn't work the first time, just dye it again.
Ask someone you live with to help or go to the salon.
You eyes will stand out a lot, that is if it is what you are planning to do.
I'd say go brown first, then see how you like it. You can go black after but your eyes will stand out from metres away.
Don't forget to look after your hair after it has been colored

Temporarily dyeing blonde hair dark brown?

I'm not sure if I would do it if I were you, it's hard for any color to come out of blonde hair. What you could do is buy a dye natural instincts or anything thats says it lasts 28 shampoos. Make sure you get a light brown don't get dark brown or your hair will be dark brown to black, i did this with my blonde hair more than twice and it turned black. If the color isn't completely gone within a month use L'Oreal color oops or another brand of hair color remover and you will be fine. Not sure if this is what you are looking to do or something less permanent, there used to be a very temporary dye for girls sold at wak-mart and such but it doesn't exist anymore

I dyed my hair black from blonde, and I hate it. How can I lighten it up without bleaching my hair again?

I had this same problem.  I've been colouring my hair black for the past year or so but wanted to go back to blonde (my natural hair colour).  But I did not want to a) fry my hair and b) walk around with an orange head!So what I did is this:First step: I went to the hairdresser to add some highlights to my black hair.  The highlights came out a somewhat "goldie" colour and simply lifted the black a bit, yet it did not look too intense, especially after a few washes (as it would have if I bleached my whole head).  So I could still go out in society without looking like a clown.  LOL!  Second step: I waited 3-4 weeks (to give my hair time to recover)Third step: After 3 weeks I put hair colour remover to my hair (NOT the type which has peroxide in it - the type which only removes hair colour).  I don't think the product matters that much - as long as it does not contain peroxide.  Also, go for one that says maximum strength.  The colour remover made a big difference and lightened the black areas to a golden brown colour, while the highlights remained in tact.  So at the moment I'm not yet fully blonde but I now have golden brown hair colour with highlights.  My next step is to wait another 2-3  weeks and then add some more colour remover (or, alternatively, go back to the hairdresser and add some more highlights) to lighten it up even more. The reason I did the highlights first was because the colour remover does have the effect of giving your hair a slightly orangey tone.  But that is counteracted by the highlights (which stays in tact even after using the colour remover).  I also added some toner to my hair to counteract the orange.I think no matter what you do, if you want to lighten your hair from black, you will end up with orange/golden tones so the key is to change it mildly, step by step so that it won't look too intense.

Can you dye dark blonde hair blue?

You can but you will have to either wait for the blue to fade out or you will have to strip the color and then apply the dye. I had platinum blonde hair about a year ago and then decided to go blue and hen discovered I hated the blue. I tried to go from blue to a dark blonde and it was a disaster because when I applied the blonde over the blue it turned a weird blue green brown color and I looked awful! I ended up having to just strip all that color out and then once that was out I applied the blonde and finally got it to the color I desired. Although… after all that dye my hair was completely destroyed from the damage so make sure you take the time to care for your hair in the process!

What will happen if you dye black hair with blonde dye?

Most likely nothing. The blonde dye won't take because your hair is too dark. It might end up just making your hair lighter, it won't make it blonde. To get it blonde you would have to bleach your hair first.
