Dying Of Tooth Pain Help

Please help my tooth pain is so severe I think I'm dying.?

well first off, definitely call your dentist or doctor and describe your symptoms to decide whether it is serious or not. if not, or if you cant be seen immadiately, ask your doctor if you can try some natural pain relieving remedies athome.
something you can try at home is chew on some fresh rosemary or if you have dried rosemary, make tea with honey. rosemary is a natural strong antibiotic, and chewing on it or drinking it allows your bloodstream to absorb it almost immediately. It is also a very effective anti-inflammatory. Drink a cup or two, or chew on a small sprig and you'll notice a difference.

an effective and popular way of slightly relieving pain is to put a warm (or cold, as one may work and the other won't) towel against your jaw or the areas that seem most swollen or tender/painful. obviously try ibuprofen or something similar.
try some classics like gargling with salt water,
applying tea tree oil, peppermint extract, or vanilla extract directly to the gum of the affected area.
swish a bit of strong alcohol around in your mouth, particularly near the affected area. this doesn't always help, as ive heard its temporary and sometimes makes things worse, but for the times it has helped, its great pain relief. if you're not willing to take that chance, maybe put some alcohol like whiskey on a q-tip or cotton ball and apply it to the gum around the tooth.

if you suspect the infection is causing the pain, then hold a fresh clove of garlic between your lip and gum near the tooth, this will not only relieve the swelling a bit, but will also help to actually treat any infection, as garlic is another strong antibiotic.

you may want to make sure there's not a piece of food or debris trapped in the tooth. also avoiding sugary or flavorful, too hot, too cold, or caffeinated foods will help with pain in the long run.

Help my tooth hurts i think i my nerve is dying?

You have an infection in your tooth that got in when your filling fell out. The antibiotic is to kill the infection and usually takes a couple of days to start to make that pain from the slightest touch go away. You need to kill the infection and then have the tooth filled.
If the tooth is real bad sometimes they can do a root canal to try and save it. Sometimes they go good sometimes they go bad and get infected again and normally need pulled out then. A root canal is when they drill out the nerves to your tooth which is actually kind of nice not being able to feel pain from that tooth again. I have had a couple of root canals done and it's really not that bad of a thing, but it weakens your tooth somewhat. My one tooth that I had a root canal done to several years ago broke in half a couple of weeks ago, it will need pulled but there is no pain at all from it. The pain that you are feeling is the pain that comes with the infection. Antibiotics will stop the pain in a couple of days and the pain medicine is for the first couple of days until the antibiotic starts to work.

Pulp of my tooth is dying, I didn't feel any pain. does that sound right?

my dentist told me that the pulp of my tooth is dying and that's why I need a root canal. The thing is that I never felt any pain in that tooth (I know what it feels like when the nerve is dying, I've had a root canal on an other tooth earlier and it was terrible). I thought that my tooth is perfectly fine and I was surprised by that, my dentist's explanation was that I didn't feel any pain b/c of my body's defense. is this a good or a bad sign? what's with my body's defense?

Note: don't take me wrong, I'm happy that I fixed my tooth before it becomes painful but I'm surprised that it got so bad without giving me a warning.

How do you know when your molar tooth is dying?

When a tooth is failing as a result of trauma or infection a root canal will be necessary. An endodontist is a specialist whom you will be referred to in many cases, especially for a molar tooth. Typically one will know if a tooth is dying; symptoms such as swelling, sensitivity to cold or hot and pain will indicate a dying nerve. Sometimes an infected tooth can be identified radiographically in the absence of symptoms. Once symptoms arise a radiograph is taken of the tooth to diagnose the infection. Once the tooth is confirmed treatment can begin. An antibiotic and pain medicine are prescribed to give the patient immediate relief and then it is determined who should do the treatment. The tooth is numbed and an access hole is drilled through the top of the tooth. Once the canals of the roots are exposed the dying nerve will be removed with small files. When the infection is completely filed out the canals they are filled with an artificial material known as Guttapercha. A temporary filling material is placed in the tooth and the patient waits a few weeks to make sure that symptoms subside. Once the tooth seems stable a more permanent tooth colored filling is placed.

I repeat .. she cant put the eugenol directly to the gum .. it will makes her suffer of irritation in the gum ..

but .. that is a temporarly solution for the pain .. snd she needs to see a doctor ASAP ..

Why would a tooth ache after a filling?

The reason a tooth ache like this is that there are some stimuli to iritate the pulp.In order to explain the way pain is transmitted to dentin many scientists proposed many theories of transmission of pain through the dentin to the pulp where the nerves are largely crowded. The most accepted is hydrodynamic theory. The harmful stimuli such as heat, cold, air blast, mechanical pressure. . etc cause some changes in the fluid movement in the dentinal tubules either inwards or outwards which causes some mechanical disturbances due to mechanoreceptors present at the nerve endings, which stimulates the pain mechanism.Sensitivity after a filling is placed can occur for a number of reasons. The most common is a high bite. When you are numb, the bite may feel okay but be a little high.  When the anaesthetic comes out, the tooth may become sensitive.  To see if the issue is due to a high bite, check if it "feels like something is in the way when your teeth come together?"  Also, does the opposite side feel normal?  Your dentist can check your bite. When a filling is very deep, it irritates the nerve and the tooth doesn't heal on its own. If it is iritated a little than everything will be ok in week or two. If it is irritated a lot, and if this does not go away over 2 weeks to a month it is probably time for a root canal. Have the dentist check the vitality status of the nerve - sometimes when you have a large cavity or filling, the tooth (nerve) may die over time. If this is the case, you need a root canal.Hope it helped:)

What does a dying tooth feel like?

Dying tooth has lot of stories of pain and betrayal to tell to the person who owns the tooth. Dying tooth feels like a victim of wrong judgement rendered for the crime it hadn’t committed. It feels like I have been wrongly convicted and death penalty is been handed over to me for the crime I haven’t committed .It even puts a mercy petition to the person owns it in the form of pain, swelling, abscess. If that petition is also rejected it get hanged and finally dies. So always remember justice delayed is justice denied. It even applies for the tooth. If the person who owns the tooth had done justice to his oral health and visited the dentist on right time the tooth could have been saved. Stitch in time saves nine.

Clindamyacin for severe tooth infection? DYING FROM THE PAIN!?

Ok, so I went to a second Dentist today hoping to get this broken, decayed tooth taken out and she says that all my pain is from infection and not from the root or nerve being exposed, which is what I thought, since I cant breathe without it hurting so much I want to yank it out myself. I had been on amoxicillin for at least a week 500mg every 4 hours and I thought that would have taken care of any infection. So...she sends me home with a new prescription for Clindamyacin 300 mg every 6 hours, with food and water. It is killing my stomach and my tooth is not feeling any better at all. I am also taking Lortab 10/500 and Darvon with what seems like ZERO pain relief. Also, 800 mg Ibuprofin every 6 hours. Does this sound right? When will the pain go away and when will the time be right to have the tooth extracted? I cant take this pain any longer! HELP!! Thanks!

How can I lower throbbing pain after a tooth filling?

Along with proper home care, make sure to visit us at least every six months. Not only is this important to receive a good professional cleaning, but once a year x-rays are taken which will diagnose decay before it gets deep enough to cause you dental pain.Source: Do You Know You Can Reverse Your Teeth Cavities Naturally? An abscessed tooth is an infection inside your tooth or gum that brings on a very painful, relentless toothache. The abscess is most often caused by a damaged tooth, an untreated cavity or gum disease. Bacteria moves into the tooths interior pulp to start the infection. The term abscess literally means a localized collection of pus surrounded by inflamed tissue. If left untreated the infection could spread and become severe enough to loose the tooth or initiate other health problems.A root canal is the procedure used to treat and save an abscessed tooth. Previously, it was almost certain that abscessed tooth would need to be removed. Today, however, our root dentists can better evaluate if an infected tooth can be treated and saved. However, if the initial exam reveals that the abscessed tooth is beyond repair, our dentist will not be able to perform a root canal and will suggest removing (extracting) the tooth. If the tooth is too severely damaged for us to help you, it isnt the end of the road. We can also refer you to a root canal specialist who can take a look. This root canal specialist, or endodontist, is an expert at root canal therapy and will be able to get you the help you need. The emergency dentist will numb the area around the infected tooth with a local anesthetic to avoid pain and discomfort. Its normal to have a small amount of bleeding during and after the extraction. For the 24 hours after your extraction, you should drink from a straw and rinse gently so as not to disturb the clot. You can brush and floss all the other teeth except for near the extracted tooth socket. If you do experience any pain after the extraction, apply a cold cloth or an ice bag on the gums near the socket.
