E Mails Are Not Able To Be Replied Or Forwarded Even Though Option Is Chosen. Was Ok Before

Yahoo mail forwarding function not working?

Same for me. I am paying for my service with Yahoo.

UPDATE (10/2/2015): It works if email is sent to my PRIMARY email address. But if I have setup a disposable or ALIAS email address those are not automatically forwarded. This is terrible. I actually do not share out my primary yahoo email address, only aliases and disposables.

How do I delete prior 'conversations' before I forward an email.?

Your new yahoo.mail format is not simple or straight forward & I cannot get my needs accomplished in a reasonable manner. I do not want prior 'conversations' forwarded to additional contacts. When I test by forwarding to myself, I am unable to delete prior 'conversations' from the text. I do not want to forward any of the prior 'conversations.' - I only want to forward the original message I received. Everytime you update your email format, its been worse. Why can I not choose my own format??? Perhaps you can suggest another email service that better fits my needs. Leslie Sargeant.

My yahoo mail won't let me compose an email or reply to any...anyone have an idea why?

On the Options page, in the "Management" column, click on General Preferences.
Find the "Composing E-mails" section, "Mode:", and choose Compose messages as plain text.
Scroll to the bottom and click the Save button.
Now try it. Can you Compose, Reply to a message or Forward?
If so, great! We're done. But if you're still having trouble Composing, Replying to a message or Forwarding, please click 'Contact Us' Hope this helps!!!

Is saying "please advise" in an email request polite or obnoxious?

Personally I don’t like seeing it, but I do use it myself sometimes in cases where I’m a little frustrated, for example about:Someone made a request to me (or to nobody in particular) that’s unclear or lacks sufficient information that the person really should have provided.I received a comment that’s not even a request but more just stating a fact of some kind. I’m now wondering if action should be taken and if so, what action. I’m frustrated here with the lack of clarity, so my reply may end with a ‘Please advise.’A lot of discussion without any clear next steps or task assignment.Another advantage of using it is that it establishes very clearly to a casual reader on Cc that an issue is not with me, it is with the other person and I’m waiting for his/her input. For me personally I would never use it out of the blue in a first polite request for information. So yes, I do intend to be a bit more direct (possibly not crossing into rude) when I use it, although I see it enough to know that not everyone uses it that way.

How to get indent with ">" when replying to an email?

Here are the steps to get the inline text:

1) Click "Options". You should find it near the top right of Yahoo Mail.
2) Click "General Preferences". Should be near the middle of the screen.
3) Near the bottom of the screen is box titled "Message Actions". In this box under the sub-heading "Forwarding Messages" you can choose to forward text as an attachment or inline text. Choose "Inline text".
4) Then click "Save". Near the bottom left of the same screen.
5) Done =)

What is the purpose of cc/bcc (if I can send email to multiple persons using to)?

Emailing etiquettes are something that is not to be taken lightly in today’s world. It is a good way to appear professional and send emails only to those for whom they’re intended. If you’re hesitant on how to reply to something or take longer than required deciding how and when to use the replying options in emails, this blog is a must-read for you. Are proper ways to reply a source of satisfaction or s source of doubt for you? We’re here to clear the situation up and help you get a peace of mind and proper ways to use the carbon copy and replying options while emailing.CC means Carbon copy. This sends a copy of the email to the recipients as well as the people being cc’d. Replying to the thread ensures that the person to whom the carbon copy was sent received it as well as the original recipients. Nothing is hidden from the- sender email, recipients email as well as other cc’d people are all visible to the cc’d people. If your response somehow affects other people’s decision making and the people should see the thread, go for the cc option.Bcc, on the other hand, means a blind carbon copy. This has the same functionality of the email being received by all the in the bcc list, but their email id is hidden from the recipients who have been sent blind carbon copies. If you’ve been introduced to another person by your colleague and want to keep in touch you would not choose the reply all option. This is because this will include your colleague in every conversation between the correspondence and the colleague. But at the same time removing your colleague from the thread without informing is also not a good etiquette. This is the best way to move your colleague to the bcc just to inform. This informs your colleague and clears the situation up. Here are a few other situations when it would be suitable to use bcc:Someone new in your company is being introduced to the team. Think if you’d want to reply directly or reply to allAn event organization discussion is happening. Would you want to reply to all being impacted by the discussion or just the organizer? If you have a specific question to ask someone in the thread? Is it okay to use reply or all just reply?Try limiting your use of the reply-all feature. It is meant for everyone to see if they’re in some way be impacted.I hope this was helpful. If you want to read all about email etiquettes go through this When to Use Reply, Reply All, CC, and BCC - AeroLeads .

Yahoo Mail buttons greyed out?

Up until about a week ago my yahoo email was fine, and now the top left row of my Yahoo email is all greyed out invisible, because the option button to click on all of the mail in the box is invisible, along with the arrow buttons that: Reply to Sender, Reply to all, and Forward this email is invisible. Because of this I can't tell if my email is checked or not. I checked this on FireFox and it works fine on there. I was checking this on internet explorer until this all happened. So basically because of all this, the checkbox spots on my email and in my options are not showing up, so I can't see when I have anything checked off. Also the only way I can manually see the checkboxes is if I switch to basic email.
