Healthy breakfast ideas (for weight loss) ?

Here are some healthy ideas :)
- Go for organics if you can.

* Oatmeal - good source of fiber, super healthy :)
- Topping ideas: skim milk or non-dairy milk like almond, soy or rice milk or nonfat yogurt, berries/fruit, raisins, dried blueberries or cranberries or cherries, cinnamon, nuts, almond butter or peanut butter, jam, honey, agave nectar, maple syrup, etc.

* Healthy cereal - like Kashi or Nature's Path Organic. High fiber cereals are best, find a cereal that isn't too high in sugar.
- Toppings: milk of your choice or greek/regular nonfat yogurt, berries/fruit.

* Homemade smoothie: Blend berries/fruit + 1/2 - 3/4 cup milk of your choice + 1/2 cup greek or regular yogurt. Add 1-2 tbsp ground flax seed if you'd like.

* Greek yogurt + berries/fruit. Add some nuts or healthy granola/muesli for some crunch if you'd like.
- Greek yogurt has more protein than regular yogurt.

As for eggs, they are so healthy and packed with protein. You can try them in an omelet with baby spinach & cheese, with cottage cheese, poached, boiled, scrambled, etc.

For toast go for multigrain, ezekiel, rye, whole wheat pita, whole grain tortilla or bagel, whole grain english muffin, etc. Whole grains are best.

* Toast topping ideas: almond butter/peanut butter, jam, honey & cinnamon, slice of cheese, cream cheese, goat cheese, etc.

Hope this helps :)

What is the best breakfast lunch and dinner meals to lose weight?

I am on a journey to lose weight and live a healthier life, I have found the best results through having a protein shake for breakfast with maybe a piece of fruit or two (banana and apple usually). For lunch something like a salad or a sandwich (as long as there is not too much butter or sauces), also don’t forget snacks like nuts, fruit, veggies with hummus. I have tried lowering my intake of gluten and dairy. For dinner something to fill you up until morning like chicken(protein), rice and lots of vegetables. Also drink water, get at least 7–8 hours of sleep if possible and try to exercise everyday even if its only for five minutes. Would love to hear your feedback on these meals, how are you going with your weight loss journey? Have you started?

Whats is healthy food for breakfast to lose weight ?

Oatmeal, whole grain cereals like shredded wheat, Multi-grain cheerios, Total, Chex, Special K, flavored yogurt with blueberries, fruit, wheat toast, low fat granola. ( granola can be high fat so check the label and use small amt like a Tbsp or so with the yogurt. Dry ceral such as honey nut cheerios cereal.eat like a snack dry for breakfast.

You're body has been fasting all night so it's really important to fuel your body first thing in the morning to stablize your blood sugar again. Simple carb such as fruit is perfect to give you the energy spike you need and I always think it's a good idea to get some protein at each meal/snack.

What is a healthy, easy breakfast if you want to lose weight?

The fastest and easiest breakfast I know is two eggs scrambled in a teaspoon of butter with a good pinch of grated cheese. I use a small carbon-steel pan, which, being well seasoned, is nonstick, so clean-up is just wiping out the pan with a paper towel and perhaps rubbing in a little Larbee seasoning. For more bulk, on the weekend I cook oat groats: add 1 cup of oat groats to 3 cups boiling water and a pinch of salt, reduce heat to a simmer (and not a fast simmer, a slow simmer), cover, and check in an hour. Give it a stir, and if it’s not thick enough, give it another 5, 10, or 15 minutes.Refrigerate that. This has the advantage of making the starch resistant, so that it is not so quickly digested and thus provides a feeling of fullness longer. Each morning, take 1/2 cup of that, heat it in a microwave (or not), and put the scrambled eggs on top. This is a 10-minute breakfast, tops, including clean-up.This is based on my experience that the most effective way to lose weight is to move to a diet low in net carbs. My current diet advice describes in some detail the approach I worked out, along with the reasons for my choices. Take a look at that and see what you think.

What to eat for breakfast if I need to lose weight?

Stick to what nature and evolution has combined to provide you as a human animal: Meat, fish, eggs and dairy products (nevermind about the fat content, it's all good) and recognisable fruit and veg.

What to avoid can be summed up in one word: Cereal.

Humans did not evolve eating grass and that's all cereals are..Our bodies, metabolisms, are confused by cereal products and they mess up the process humans evolved to cope with 'proper' foods effectively. Cereals, and the things made from cereals, make you fat, in other words. Cake, obviously, but also bread and pasta. It doesn't matter that they don't contain fat. That's not how it works. Your body would digest fat anyway. The cereal makes YOU make fat.

That knocks out all these suggestions that porridge and bran are good things to eat if you want to lose weight. They, absolutely, are not good for that. The exact opposite is true. They're disastrous and doomed.

What to eat for Breakfast lunch and Dinner to lose weight?

Wow some of the answers here are totally wrong. The first thing you should NOT do is:
Do not eat too little. Sure, you can slightly cut your portions, but when it comes down to it, be realistic. You cant live on half a slice of bread a day. Seriously, if you do lose weight doing that, you'll get tired of it eventually, and when you go back to eating normally, you'll be twice the size.

Now, start over. And be realistic. That's the key to a healthy lifestyle. (yes, call it a healthy lifestyle. diets are short, and you gain back the weight because of how strict they are. Healthy lifestyles have a little room for small deserts, rewards, etc. Healthy life styles are life long.)
Eat a full breakfast. Don't leave your house till you're so full you can barely move. And don't stuff yourself w/ jelly doughnuts! Eat a slice of whole wheat bread (or rich white wheat bread if you like that) with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Then, until you get full eat cereal. And not the chocolate fudge kind! Have something that's good for you and tastes good. Like cheerios (honey nut, not plain).
Then, at lunch, have some salad. And not the kind that's just a leaf. Try chicken, ranch(not too much), croutons, bacon bits, you name it.
Finally, at dinner, i would recommend whatever you eat, follow the three rules. 1. Only eat a handful of carbs. 2. Make sure you have lots of veggies!!( And if they don't taste good, dip em in soy sauce, ranch red chili pepper sauce, whatever you like)3 . Eat lots of meat( or if your vegan try garbanzo beans).
Finally: desert. I would try either some jello(low calorie) or some cottage cheese and fruit or jelly. Don't overdo it.
If you get hungry between meals, try a fruit. If your really having cravings, dip it in a LITTLE chocolate. Try to control yourself.
If you do this then you will lose weight! Guaranteed!!!
As for exercise, there's no need to overdo it. If your not an exercise/sports person, try biking to work/school. If its close, walk. We all hate it, but you know you have to try something.
Good luck on your healthy lifestyle. Remember, you're not alone. We all struggle with our weight.

Is it okay to eat eggs in my breakfast, lunch and dinner to lose weight?

I lost a bunch of weight on the slow carb diet and while I wasn’t eating eggs at all three meals, I was eating them at two meals a day.Breakfast was a three egg omelette with chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, scallions, and frank’s red hot sauce. I call it the buffalo breakfast and I guarantee it will keep you full until lunch time.Lunch was a salad that contained one hard-boiled egg.Eggs are great for weight loss. They have lots of protein and fat (both very good) and will keep you full so that you aren’t tempted to grab one of the donuts that your co-worker brought in for everyone to share. They are also nice because they are relatively cheap. In general protein is the most expensive part of a meal, but eggs are much cheaper on a calorie basis than meat is.Good for your wallet, good for your waistline, eat more eggs and less processed and fast food.

Is Malt-o meal and a egg for breakfast healthy?

Not too bad. I think just regular plain old oatmeal would be better than Malt-o-Meal. I tend to distrust it because it's a 'product' so there has to be some additives in there, though I really loved Malt-o-Meal when I was a kid. And I find hot cereal much more satisfying than cold, especially on a cold morning.

And the egg is good protein. Just so long as you don't have a cholesterol problem. Eggs are responsible for 1/3 of the cholesterol in the American diet.

Is eating Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner ONLY good for losing weight?

I sometimes miss breakfast (I know you shouldnt) and I eat too much crap in between the main meals. If I want to lose weight is cutting the crap and just having Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner everyday good enough, and healthy enough? Or am I required to eat something in between?

I exercise enough already I have a healthy lifestyle apart from what I eat which is making me keep all the flab! I'm not losing weight nor gaining so I need to change the way I eat.

You think this is good?
