Are cornflakes unhealthy?

Your friend is right that the good stuff of the corn is processed out. She's mistaken that it crystalizes to sugar prior to eating. All carbohydrates convert to sugars in the body, but super processed foods like corn flakes do it faster. Sugars convert to fats, and if you don't exercise enough the fat gets stored on you.

Would eating plain cornflakes make me gain weight?

Cornflakes contains carbohydrates and as you know Carbohydrates turns into glucose, which your body burns immediately and converts to glycogen which needed to be stored in the muscles and liver. If you eat more calories from corn flakes which are carbs and you not using those stored glycogen for doing physical activity then that will be stored as fat.Obesity does not occur due to massive carbohydrate overfeeding, it occurs due the storage of excess fat which happens when you intake carbs but don't use that for everyday energy purpose. So all I am saying if you working out and burning it after words then it's good to eat because everyone needs energy in daily routine but if your daily life is not highly active ,no workout less walk then focus on calories which you are intaking according to your weight.Keep a check on your calories intake and make sure you consume calories from rich source of protein fats and carbs.Stay fit stay strong .Connect with me on social media for more help regarding gym and nutrition related issues.Instagram : kagedmusclesTwitter : being3fYouTube : fitnessinfinityHave a nice day

Does eating cereal make you fat?

Cereal, especially whole grain or any NOT coated in sugar is a wonderful thing to eat when watching your weight.

Frosted Flakes..................?

Frosted flakes = my favorite cereal.

I was reading over my mom's diet handbook and it listed "sweet breakfast cereals" as number four in the "TOP TEN FOODS YOU SHOULD AVOID".

My mom never buys it because she says it's really unhealthy. She says that eating cereal like that every morning will add pounds like a Turkey Day. However, I just met a girl who eats it every morning and she's tiny. I'm wondering if that's because she has a good metabolism, or whether it's because her portions are good? She doesn't eat that much.

My portions are small, and I'm pretty small (not underweight, though). I'm also moderately active, I eat really healthy, and I'm going to start a cross-training course in January. Will frosted flakes in the morning be the death of me?
