Why is running every day on a treadmill not helping me to lose weight?

This is a common “myth” taht many women (and some men) still think will get them leaner, and fitter….I unfortunately used to follow this myself. ONLY to find that I kept gaining weight. ..and I am sure that in your mind, running “burns calories’ therefore the scale should be a lower number right? Not necessarily.Let me clear up a few things first.I was at my heaviest in my early 30s when I did 2 hours of cardio daily, ate diet foods, and skipped meals. Now, at 58, I wear a bikini, have maintained my weight for over 20+ years, and NEVER do cardio by itself.I created a digital product that has sold thousands of copies that will help you when you click Final Fat Meltdown >>> 30 Days to Weight Loss to get you to a slimmer, more youthful body….but first you HAVE to change how you think about exercise, and eating. This is how I coach in our gym so that people can transform their bodies. If you are doing 1 hour of cardio. Your body will burn a certain amount of calories, and in the process, burn through muscle tissue which is the only metabolically active tissue. When you are done doing cardio. You are done burning calories. Unlike short bursts of bodyweight or strength training, which can burn calories for 24–48 hours AFTER you are done exercising.Strength training creates muscle tissue. Which weights more than fat, but takes up less space. SO, you might weigh the same, but in the process lose inches, and firm up flab, while looking and feeling better.Eat for energy, NOT for weight loss. Strict diets make you obsess about what you are “not allowed” to have. Counting and cutting too many calories is a pain, AND will leave you hungry, miserable and promote cravings. Eat nutrient dense foods that support a healthy and lean body.Cutting out ANY and ALL simple carbs is key.Eating healthy carbs before and after exercise can help maintain energy levels.Eat approximately 1 gram of animal or plant based protein per lean pound of bodyweight. This will keep you fuller for longer periods of time, and repair, rebuild and restore lean muscle tissue.Sign up for my free SPECIAL REPORT that will kickstart your fatloss plan, while energizing your body and flattening your belly. This will give you access to my http://newsletter.www.ConstantEn...Set your mind up for success. PLAN your meals and workouts, and get ready to see a leaner version of YOU come through that doesn’t pound your joints and doesn’t involve hours of exercise. Hope this helps!

How to talk to my girlfriend about her weight gain.?

Ok, here's the deal, my girlfriend and I have been living together almost a year. I have pretty poor eating habits and she has picked them up. Unfortunately she hasn't picked up my basic exercise routine that keeps me from gaining weight. She has gained about 50 pounds over the past year and I have made it pretty clear my feeling on it. I am not ashamed to admit I am a little shallow, I have a rule against dating a girl who weights more than me, she is about 10 pounds away from making me break my rule, and she is a foot shorter. Now I have tried the old fashion complaining about my own weight, working out in front of her, convincing her to work out with me(which never works two times in a row), even purchasing the Wii with several exercise games. Nothing has worked. Normally I would just suck it up, but she is beginning to ask questions about our infrequent amounts of sex and I don't have the heart to tell her I am just not attracted to her anymore. She hasn't pieced together that the past 6 times (over 3 months) I have not been able to finish. I am an incredibly passive-aggressive person the problem with that is I've gotten to the point where I have so much frustration built up that I am afraid if I have the conversation now that I am going to say something I shouldn't have. So for anyone who has waded through my possibly incoherent rambling, any advice?

Why do women reward their husbands by getting fat?

I can't speak on behalf of all women...I can only speak for myself.
I look the same as I did when I got married. I still exercise daily, I wear make-up and dress the same as I did before marriage. I know my husband married the woman he loved and I intend to stay that same woman. BTW, he is the one that pushed the marriage issue...I am the one that had cold feet.

I don't believe that sex should be used as a weapon and I am certainly not going to deprive myself of pleasure to punish my husband. My husband doesn't need to be punished...I am his wife...not his mother.

You posted "No, the woman chops off her hair, gets fat, dresses in sweats and won't put a hot dog on a plate for her husband."
My hair touches the top of my hips, I have been the same size since my early 30's (12 junior) I never wear sweats, if I am slumming it I might wear yoga pants. I cook a hot breakfast for my husband every morning, pack his lunch and make sure dinner is ready to be placed on the table when he comes home. I also hold a full time job.

The older I get the harder I have to work at staying trim. There are many factors that attribute to women gaining weight. Yes, part of it is lack of exercise and a poor diet but there are other factors as well...menopause for example.
I have a friend that is miserable in her marriage, they fight constantly and she has let herself go and in turn her husband (who has a gut) is cruel. He reminds her often that she is overweight and in return she packs on more weight because she soothes herself with fast food.

Sometimes people start taking each other for granted and it is a downward spiral. Some people eat junk, some get lazy, some cheat, some ignore their partner...as so on... Then there are others that do their best to keep the fire burning. Not always an easy task but well worth the effort.

It takes 2 to make or break a relationship. My personal opinion is that if we treat our partners the same way we did before marriage a long lasting, healthy relationship is almost guaranteed.
