Eating 500 calories a day?

Ok eating 500 and burning 600 you'll lose at LEAST 1 pound a day. My guess is 7-10 pounds a week. the less you weigh the slower it will come off. So maybe 7-10 the first week then 5-8 then 4-7 so on and so fourth. once you hit 120 your weight will be much slower. why 120? becasue that's the correct weight for someone or your height. after that it will be 2 maybe 3 pounds a week even with a starvation diet.

Oh and "i will eat healthy again once i lose 10 or 15 pounds and diet normally from then." Only if you plan on gaining most of it back.

as an overweight guy who has lost weight in the past and kept 5 out of 6 stone of it off I will say that the speed of your metabolism definitely does matter.

and hence you need to eat pretty regularly and exercise pretty regularly. we all know them guys who eat loads and stay thin. the reason for this is that their metabolism is quick. their metabolism is quick because they exercise and eat often, ie. their body is expecting to have to burn the calories off. so they could eat cereal, salad then a burger and you could eat just a burger but because your body isn't programmed to burn it off you'll store it. one thing you have to train yourself to do is to do some exercise twice a day then eat something small that won't make up for it each time. this will train your body to use up your food instead of storing it

obviously the exercise will get easier so you can do more, then you can eat a little more. also personally I advocate not eating when you know you will have very little to do that day, so swapping your lunch and dinner that you had today would've been more productive...or that's what I found

This is dangerous and unsafe. If you work out "excessively" you need more than 500 calories. Even without "excessive" workouts you need more than 500 calories. This is EXTREME dieting, which is unsafe and can have adverse affects on your health. You may lose weight quickly at first, but your body may also go into "starvation mode" where it tries to hold onto what it has. It's a safety mechanism. You may also end up in the hospital. Or when you begin eating more than 500 calories per day (because you will eventually, nobody LIVES on 500 cal/day), you may put weight on very quickly. You are going to screw up your body's metabolism and it's not going to know what to do! Unsafe, unhealthy, and in the long run it's not going to work well for your weight loss goals! You need to talk to an adult, a doctor, a nutritionist, SOMEBODY about a safe way to eat, exercise, and lose weight.

BTW, do you REALLY NEED to lose weight? This is extreme behavior, which leads me to think you may have some body image issues leading you down the road of anorexia and other extreme behaviors. Please talk to someone and get help!

EDIT: I looked at your past Q's and almost ALL of them are about losing weight, one was about anorexia, one was about extreme depression....please get help. If that was your pic you posted in the pretty/ugly Q you are a pretty girl, you don't look fat in the face, so I doubt you need to lose weight. Please, I implore you, get help!

How much weight can I lose by eating less than 500 calories a day and exercising daily at night?

umm go for it but eat vegetables and fruits and plenty of water but mostly stay away from junk food eat healthier hearty foods

No it isn't healthy. You need to eat a minimum of 1200 calories daily. In order to get in all the nutrients your muscles need, that is what you need to take in. So it might take you a touch longer to lose what little weight it seems you need to lose, but you will keep it off because you did it healthfully. If you eat less than 1200 your body will automatically go into starvation mode and save everything you take in as fat rather than burning it asap.

It's been 2 months since I started eating less than 500 calories a day. This week I started feeling really weak, my bones hurts a lot, and I have nausea. What can I do to feel better?

Eating less than 500 calories a day and drinking Green tea?

I'm 17 5'6 almost 5'7 and 148lbs. I to am curvy. I understand where you're coming from and about wanting to lose weight. But even though you don't want to hear it, that's not the way you should do it. I know I've tried... You lose a good bit of weight then gain it all back like you said. But I think it's your choice so I'll give you you advice. If you're going to only eat 500 Cal a day and unsweet green tea, make most of your calories come from veggies. They're low in calories and you can eat more. Also look into negative calories food. Negative calorie food are foods that cost more calories to digest then to eat so they don't really count toward you over all daily value. Also look in to vegan substitute foods because they are almost always low in calories. (Like House Foods Tofu Shirataki Noodles that can be food at publix and are only 20 calories for the whole package.) Also get some dissolving B12 supplements and take them twice a day to boost your metabolism. And sip on green tea all day long if you can.

Once again I can't say I condone this but I know how you feel. I wouldn't say do it but I also think it's something you'll have to learn about on your own. I purposely have gained weight since I am curvy and I actually like it and look healthy rather than a a flatly shaped 12 year old.

How long will it take eating 250-500 calories a day to lose 50 lbs?

people are probably going to report my answer for promoting this but if your doctor said you're healthy then I guess it won't be a problem, okay so I eat less than 500 calories a day (but I have ednos) um the first few weeks the weight just dropped off like I would drop 6-7 pounds a week then it sort of slowed down to 4 pounds a week so id say 3-5 months

What happens if you only eat 500 calories a day and your 14?

If you do it for too long, you die. You die a slow, excruciating death - while your family watches you waste away, with nothing they can do to help you.If you do it for a shorter time, you only damage yourself instead. You stop your body’s growth and maturation process along the way, so even if you mostly recover in all other ways, you’ll live the rest of your life with a body and brain that never reach their full potential. You’ll effectively have the physical and maybe also the intellectual/emotional maturity of a 14-year-old, forever.If you do it for a day, nothing much happens.
