Ebay Item Refused Delivery From Buyer

Can an ebay buyer refuse parcel package as way to get refund?

I purchased something on ebay and changed my mind about the item while it's on the way being shipped. The seller does have a 7 day return/refund policy...
I have in the past, with retailers like Amazon, refused a delivery of an item - and this automatically turns into a refund.

The reason why I am considering doing this for this ebay item; it's a used item - and I would rather that I never touch/open the box so there isn't any potential dispute about condition. In other words, by refusing the delivery, it was never in my possession and only handled by the parcel workers.

Can this be done for ebay?

How do I return an item on eBay if the seller is refusing to accept the return?

You get a refund. The only difference between a seller whose policy is No Refunds and a seller who accepts refunds is who pays for the return shipping. If it has been less than 3o days since delivery, go to the Resolution Centre at the bottom of most eBay pages.Open a Dispute. If you don’t like the item but it is otherwise as described, you will be told to return it (with tracking) to the seller. If the item is Not As Described (blue instead of red, not working when described as used, a different model, plated instead of sterling silver, etc.) the seller will be told to send you return postage. When he does, and you ship it, watch for delivery. If the seller does not refund you on delivery, eBay will and go after him for their money.Do NOT accept an offer of a replacement. If you have passed the 30 day deadline, go to your Paypal account. The Resolution Centre is at the top of your account page under Tools. You will be required to return the item with tracking and pay for this yourself. On the other hand you have 180 days from Payment to open the dispute. No returns does not mean no refunds.

Shipped an item to ebay buyer, returned undeliverable to me bu USPS. Postage refund possible?

Honestly if the buyer knows this is a ongoing issue then she should not attempt purchasing anything until she knows the issue is fixed. What is probaly happening is she has not changed her address with her bank which will not match with her current address therefore not allowing Paypal to be able to change it.It is not a post office issue, they did their job by attempting to deliver to address availiable, this one I'm afraid the buyer is responsible for.

What is "package refused at delivery"?

Hello. I ordered this insecticide from amazon about two days ago. And it was supposed to come in today. Only one person was home at the time. I live in a two house complex, neighbors in front and us in back. Anyways I clearly indicated our house number but I got this message... What does this mean? Thanks

Buyer is accusing me of selling a fake item and wants a refund before sending it back?

Caller #1 is right but also wrong.

You can do it that way --- but your seller performance suffers the more claims that are filed. We Top Rated Sellers try to avoid claims.

Don't send her a refund before receiving the item --- Try to 'smooz' her into sending it back.

Hello again,

The item you won the bid on is certainly authentic. However, you are welcome to return it for a full refund. It's ebay's policy and our SOP to receive the item in question before making any refunds.

Thanks for understanding -- and Best regards,

Buyer paid for item on Ebay, and hasn't picked it up at the post office. The post office is going to return it soon. I don't offer refunds, and the buyer hasn't responded to me. What should I do?

There are lots of reasons this might have happened, ranging from your customer dying, being in the hospital, traveling, using an old address, being lazy, or trying to become a deadbeat buyer. The best approach is to wait for the package to be returned to you, then use eBay messaging to contact the Buyer and offer to reship it upon payment of a new shipping and handling fee. While your policy may be no refunds/returns, it is quite likely that you’ll end up losing an eBay dispute, PayPal dispute, or credit card chargeback for the sole reason that the Buyer never received the item (regardless of the reason). You can/should fight any such dispute, including any info you have about messages you sent, etc. and if you lose such a dispute, you should report the Buyer and appeal the decision, but understand it might not go your way. If you’ve used eBay messages for the communication, you should at least be able to get your eBay fees refunded, though.Best of luck.

Can I deny an eBay refund?

Sure you can refuse a refund based on what you say in the sales copy. If you have wording like “no refunds”, however, none of it matters at all if your customer complains to eBay or PayPal that the product is not as listed. They will most likely side with the customer and force a refund from your PayPal account. In the world of eBay and Amazon the customer always wins, not the seller.
