Eczema And Skin Lightening

What are the best essential oil for skin lightening?

I love essential oils. I have used different types of essential oils in a form of different experimental masks, cleansers on my skin.To begin I want to mention that I have hyperpigmented combination skin, prone to dry. I don't usually get acne and don't have noticeable spot but my 27years old face already started showing some signs of aging around my eyes, laugh line got quite prominent ( I laugh a lot -_- ). Therefore, I decided to get serious about my skincare regime. I wanted to use natural products and after experimenting with various oils, I came up with my new night moisturizer which started working from the day 1. My finelines and hyperpigmented areas got reduced, skin became tighter and started glowing. You can see the noticeable differences easily.I am sharing the oils I use-Rosehip Oil as a Carrier Oil - Rosehip oil contains vit A & C. Vit A works as a natural retinol, pumps up skin. Vit C brightens skin. This oil mostly works for dry skin as a great moisturiser itself.Argan Oil as a Carrier Oil- This nutty fragranted oil works against skin inflammation, finelines reduction on a great measure, softens skin and brings a glow that you wont need a highlighter on your cheek bone.Lemon Essential Oil- This oil smells so good that you would want to drink it ( But don't!!!). Lemon is a natural bleach, works like a magic to brighten skin, fixes uneven skintone and reduces the adverse effects of sun. But it is very very important to keep in mind that you CANNOT use this oil in daytime before going outside. Lemon oil is extremely photosensitive and will burn out skin in the appearance of sun.Turmeric Essential Oil - Turmeric has been used for brightening skin from a long time. Using this oil daily will work against any type of skin disease. This oil instantly brightens the skin. Not to mention, it smells so good. It is also photosensitive so daytime is not a good time to use.The misture of these oils should follow the proper ratio. For one tea spoon of carrier oil, 6-7 drops of essential oil. I use it as a bedtime moisturiser after cleansing, toning my face. Hope it will help.

How to lighten my neck?

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. If the darkening is caused by eczema or another skin irritation, moisturizing with a rich, fragrance-free cream or ointment will help calm your skin and soothe the rash. If your doctor has diagnosed eczema, apply a corticosteroid cream — such as over-the-counter cortisone — to the raw rash areas to speed healing.

Lighten up. You can find creams that are specifically made to lighten dark skin — the most effective contain hydroquinone, which blocks skin from producing more melanin, a dark pigment. To get faster results, pair such a cream with an exfoliating skin cream containing retinoids or alpha hydroxy acid.

Try a few natural healers. Vitamin E cream can be applied on the dark spots to help lighten the skin — massage it into the skin without rubbing it too vigorously. Aloe vera gel can also help lighten dark skin. Apply it twice a day to the darker areas.

Consider using a gentle scrub. Scrubbing dark areas too aggressively can cause the skin to get thicker and even darker. But a gentle exfoliant — for example, a scrub made of sugar and olive oil — can help gently remove the dark skin.

Whip up a home treatment. All-natural skin lighteners include lemon juice and yogurt. You can also whip up a mixture of almond oil, honey, milk, and lime juice — leave the mask on your skin for at least 20 minutes, then rinse it off.

Protect your skin. Dark spots are generally made worse by the sun, so apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15 to protect the dark skin on your neck from getting darker.

Try prescription treatments. Your dermatologist may recommend more intensive treatments, including prescription skin lighteners and laser treatments, to help lighten your skin.

Lightening eczema's skin discolouration?

My dd has severe eczema and skin discoloration, the best thing we have found is just a light shade of cover up. The problem with this is that you have to watch what your skin will tolerate. Some brands burned or stung so it was really trial and error. Cover girl worked for us. But it is only a temporary fix for a short time. Her Dr. Says that there are laser treatments but they are extremely costly and since it is considered "Cosmetic" alot of insurance will not cover the cost. What about Panty hose? They sell the kind with no feet in them if you live in a warm climate. Best of luck to you, I know what you are going thru. One other thing we have done, and depending on where you are going etc... is to just wrap your knees with cotton wrap. We do that with her knee and no one says anything, they just think she got hurt.

I suffer from eczema therefore, can I use skin whitening cream?

That’s a question for a professional. However, I’m betting it would be a really bad idea. Skin whitening products are potentially problematic for anyone. Your skin is already super-sensitive and, presumably, reacts to certain moisturizers, soaps, etc. A product specifically designed to change the genetic makeup of your skin sounds like it would be even worse.

HELP! skin lightening caused by hydrocortisone?

Hydrocortisone is notorious for causing white splotches on skin. My daughter had them all over her arms, legs, and face from using hydrocortisone for her eczema. I haven't found anything that will darken the areas faster, but they do go away on their own. In my daughter's case, it did take several weeks, though. In the future, you may want to try natural eczema remedies instead of steroid creams. There isn't anything you can take to lessen eczema flare ups, but you can figure out what is causing your flare ups and avoid those things.

Is skin whitening reversible?

When my doctor prescribed me this so called hydrocortizone for treating eczema, it turned the areas of skin where it was applied a sickly white. It contrasted with my normal skin color, as i am Taiwanese, so I was extremely furious. However, after half an year, I fully recovered by applying Cetaphil lotion and sunscreen each day.
The Cause For Whitened Skin: the cream contains a substance that whitens skin when exposed to sunlight, especially UVA, UVB
the best way to tackle the problem is to avoid sunlight like i mentioned before and take extremely good care of your skin for about a year. I understand it is impossible to avoid all sunlight, but the less, the better
YES IT IS REVERSIBLE!!!
