Choose a middle name (Round 1)?

OR you can try to say Sarina and then exclude the "na" part which leaves Sari.

@ emgee: I didn't even know it was a brand for Indian dress, I used it because it means "Princess" in Hebrew which I thought was pretty since she will be MY PRINCESS(: also I wanted it to be different than Suri (which has the same meaning) but Sari stood out to me the most. So do I think parents would name their child that means princess? YES I DO! :)

How many rounds are there during placements?

It depends on the nature of the company. If it's a product based company, the nature and number of rounds will be to test your perseverance and programming skills. In case of Service based companies , you may have 3–5 rounds.Product based:C APPS & aptitude (mostly pen and paper)Basic programming or test on technical information (may be pen and paper / in system)Complex programming (Mostly in system, rarely in pen and paper)Technical HR (will test whether your technical knowledge is up to date and confidence in technical information)General HR (your communication skills and attitude).Service based:Aptitude (Quantitative , verbal and non verbal) it depends on the company how much weightage u get for each section.GD (Group Discussion) some companies have this as the first round to eliminate crowd.Technical HRGeneral HR.90% you won't get programming round in a service based company. They may ask you to write programs in technical HR round. All the best if you are entering the placement phase of your college life. :)

My band has come up with a list of names. What is a good voting/grading system we could use to determine the one that is most liked by us?

The system you propose is called range voting. The simplest answer to your concern about your ballot with a 5–8 range being “drowned out” by ballots with the full 0–10 range is that you should not vote ballots with a 5–8 range. If you think all of the available candidates are “meh” but still wish to express your preferences between them, then you should renormalize your ballot to span the full range. This isn’t insincere. There’s no “absolute” meaning for 0 and 10 to begin with: you should think of them as representing the worst/best of the available options. This is just utilizing the full expressivity of your ballot as the system intends.Range voting is an excellent system, but if you still don’t like it, there are other excellent systems to consider. I recommend the Schulze method. It uses ranked ballots rather than scored ballots, so that this issue of underexpressive ballots does not arise. For the most part, any ballot with candidate A ranked anywhere above candidate B counts equally toward the comparison of A with B, and voters cannot artificially alter the strength of their preference between A and B. It can be somewhat complicated to count by hand, but the Condorcet Internet Voting Service provides a good web interface that automates this process for both public and private polls.
