Choose a middle name (Round 1)?

OR you can try to say Sarina and then exclude the "na" part which leaves Sari.

@ emgee: I didn't even know it was a brand for Indian dress, I used it because it means "Princess" in Hebrew which I thought was pretty since she will be MY PRINCESS(: also I wanted it to be different than Suri (which has the same meaning) but Sari stood out to me the most. So do I think parents would name their child that means princess? YES I DO! :)

Name some things that are round.?

I need ideas for a project I'm doing, involving something circular or round.
So if you could just list some things that are round or circular in shape, that would be much appreciated :)

Thank you!

10 points first help with eliminating!!!!!!!!!!?

10.) x= sqrt T y=1-T

x^2 = T and (1-y) = T Then x^2 = 1-y or y = 1-x^2

24.) x= sec(theta) =1/cos(theta) and y=cos(theta) then x = 1/y or y = 1/x

26.) x=ln2T then e^x = 2T or T = (1/2)e^x

y=T^2 = ((1/2)e^x)^2 = (1/4)e^(2x)

My band has come up with a list of names. What is a good voting/grading system we could use to determine the one that is most liked by us?

The system you propose is called range voting. The simplest answer to your concern about your ballot with a 5–8 range being “drowned out” by ballots with the full 0–10 range is that you should not vote ballots with a 5–8 range. If you think all of the available candidates are “meh” but still wish to express your preferences between them, then you should renormalize your ballot to span the full range. This isn’t insincere. There’s no “absolute” meaning for 0 and 10 to begin with: you should think of them as representing the worst/best of the available options. This is just utilizing the full expressivity of your ballot as the system intends.Range voting is an excellent system, but if you still don’t like it, there are other excellent systems to consider. I recommend the Schulze method. It uses ranked ballots rather than scored ballots, so that this issue of underexpressive ballots does not arise. For the most part, any ballot with candidate A ranked anywhere above candidate B counts equally toward the comparison of A with B, and voters cannot artificially alter the strength of their preference between A and B. It can be somewhat complicated to count by hand, but the Condorcet Internet Voting Service provides a good web interface that automates this process for both public and private polls.

In a tournament having 125 entrants, a player is eliminated whenever he loses a match. How many matches are played in the entire tournament?

Practically speaking, you need to eliminate 124 teams, so 124 games with 1 loser each.Now if we want to reason it for someone who didn't understand how it works:You have to think of the situation as a knock-out (also called sudden death) tournament, in which 1 loss disqualifies a team or person. So let's find out the number of games needed to get 1 winner.How would this possibly play out for 125 teams?Let's assume one team is a "bye" team that we can force to play a game later.First round: 124 teams play each other in 62 games, and 62 are eliminated.Second round: 62 teams face off in 31 games, 31 are eliminated.Third round: add the bye team to get 32 teams, 16 are eliminated.Fourth round: 8 games, 8 eliminated.Fifth round: 4 games, 4 eliminated.Sixth round/semi-finals: 2 games, 2 eliminated.Final round: 1 eliminated and you get the winner.Total games played = 62+31+16+8+4+2+1 = 124Note how the number of games in each round is equal the the number of competitors eliminated.For most knock-out tournaments, the number of competitors is a power of 2 (because pairing off teams means 1 team eliminated and 1 team moving onto the next round). That is why most tournaments or playoff brackets have 8, 16, 32, or 64 brackets or slots.  It also helps for both organizing the brackets and deciding the start times of each round.In single elimination tournaments, the # of games played is always equal to # of competitors -1, assuming there are no byes.

It depends on the nature of the company. If it's a product based company, the nature and number of rounds will be to test your perseverance and programming skills.
