English Nursery School Teacher Tips

Should I quit my job as a preschool teacher?

I am a 26 years old female, currently in the university studying Foreign languages education. This year, I got a job as a preschool english (L2) teacher. I had never worked in an educational institution before. I thought my lack of experience would be a problem but so far everything was going alright. About 2 months ago I started waking up in the morning and dreading the idea of going to work. Now I loathe going to work! I find every possible mean to avoid work, wishing to get sick (successfully accomplishing it!). This topic is becoming annoying to myself and my friends 'cause I constantly complain about it. I make good money, but I don't have time to do anything else anymore. I even had to cancel some courses at the university. My bosses and some teachers are a huge stress factor. I have lost my creativity when it comes to planning lessons, I think my classes suck!
I do LOVE the children I teach, they make me laugh so much, and most of them love me as well. Apparently everyone likes me, including the kids, parents, some of the teachers and their assistants. I have skipped work too many times already (not really but they ***** about every single absence even if I have a medical excuse).
Now I don't have the time to exercise, to hang out with my friends, I had to take half of the courses at uni, this job is consuming me!
I am thinking about quitting. Should I? the pay is really good. Since it's a rich kids preschool I don't have to deal with problems at all concerning money. The staff has been nice to me, but I just feel the weight of the world on my shoulders. Maybe it's the transition to the adult world that is hitting me hard? is this just how it is and I must to learn how to deal with it?
The problem is not really the kids, its my bosses and everything they expect out of me. Plus the sacrifice I am making not doing things that are very important to me like sports or even having a boyfriend, there's not even time for that!
Should I quit? it is 3 months until the end of my contract. Would my CV be affected negatively? would everybody hate me because they'd have to look for a replacement in a haste?
I am really stressed. Your opinions are welcome, but please give me a reason as to why you think I should stay or quit.

What can a teacher say for a preschool Christmas show, opening speech ?

I would say thank you for coming to the program the children have worked hard and we hope you enjoy the program. We are now going to sing jingle bells you may join in if you wish. The children stand and they have the bells. Introduce next song our next song will be feliz navidad you may also join in. This concludes our program and Thank you for coming to our program and we have refreshments they are located in the classroom and come and explore the classroom the children have an exhibit and you may take the work home for the holidays. (You really need to keep it short the children attention span and the added people will cause chaos, remember the children span is possibly 15 minutes. Most parents appreciate a shorter program and getting to the point, they socialize and many may take the children and sign them out when they leave. If the entire center is combined the supervisor would start by welcoming the parents and talking to them but she may limit her time also for control and attention span of children.

How do I introduce myself in a school teacher interview?

Your phrasing is a bit unclear, so I’m assuming you’re interviewing for a job to be a school teacher- please correct me if I’m wrong. The best interview advice is to be yourself, confidently. Interviewing a teacher is in part interviewing for how someone might connect with a group of students- if you’re funny, don’t be afraid to go for a laugh (while still being serious) in your introduction. If you’re serious, don’t try to be funny.“Hi, I’m _______. I have been teaching in ___ for _____ years and I think I’d really like to be a part of your school here at ______.” You can fill in “just completed my teaching degree at ______” if you’re fresh out of college.

What are the pros and cons of being a preschool teacher?

In order to teach preschool successfully, you need to be patient, have a positive outlook, be consistent, be patient, have lots of energy, be creative, be patient, find young children interesting and challenging, oh and did I mention have patience? LOL
>Pros: it is highly rewarding if you enjoy the challenges and have lots of energy, it is challenging as you must be constantly seeking new ways to handle behavior issues and new ways to constructively engage young busy minds, it is a job with lots of variety (young children are all very unique and interesting), it is a path to constant continued learning for yourself because young ones always have questions you cannot answer and one of the things we are teaching them is how to find answers to those questions.
>Cons: low pay, long hours, exhaustion, frequent exposure to illness, and constant challenges

As you can see, some of the pros can be cons and vice versa depending on your personality and attitude! I would like to make a suggestion that might help you make a decision. Please volunteer some time in some preschool classrooms. Spend a little time in more than one classroom in more than one center, because every teacher is different, every program is different, and every group of children is different. You need to SEE what it means to teach young children because you may see that it's not for you at all. On the other hand, you may absolutely love it and decide that this is totally the career for you! Keep a journal as you observe in these classrooms and be sure to note your feelings about the children and the activities. You can read your notes later to help you decide, and it will give you a record of things you observed that you liked and things you did not like so you won't repeat mistakes in your own classroom in the future if you decide that this is for you. I wish you the best of luck and hope you enjoy this field as much as I do.

Will a lisp prevent me from getting the job I want? (teaching)

I have a lisp.. as a child, I went through many years of speech therapy only to find out that the lisp was caused by a medical issue that would not go away without an expensive surgery, that I really don't want or need.. so it looks like, the lisp stays.

Now my issue..
I want to be an elementary teacher, and I believe I would make a great one...
however I know speaking is a big part of the job and I'm a bit worried that my slight lisp may make it impossible for me to get a job.

Does anyone have any thoughts/experience with this?
Thanks.

What are the benefits of teaching children English in Kindergarten?

We know that English is no more a luxury but a necessity. It's the gateway to information and knowledge. English is one of the most popular and spoken languages in India and the world. Globalization has opened up plethora of opportunities for higher education and employment and English is a basic requirement.Let me speak about the kindergarten kid. A normal kid is capable of learning multiple languages while growing up. Knowing the language makes the kid think and understand better. For example, if the kid learns numbers in English, it thinks in English henceforth. If you show your 3 fingers and ask him to count, he thinks immediately as three only. Similarly understanding the subjects of the curriculum becomes quite easy. Therefore, I suggest teaching English right from the kindergarten is good for the kid.
