Will syncing my iPhone erase EVERYTHING?

I've already backed up my phone to this computer, it is synced as far as everything but music goes.. just not the music. I went ahead and used a program to take all music from my iphone off and put it back onto iTunes, so all the music will sync back if I click OK. Buttt.. what about my photos, apps (especially content saved in the apps), texts.. all that. Will I lose all that too or will it use the recent backup I did?

I know it's backed up because I had to completely remove and reinstall iTunes from scratch to install 4.0 which required a backup/sync.

Thanks.

Why do we need to erase our iPhone with a 3rd party tool?

All the data on your phone is encrypted with the key, without it the data on the phone (flash storage) is just garbled nonsense. The option of “Erase all Content and Settings” on your iPhone deletes the encryption key. So whatever data remains on the storage is useless, it can’t be decoded, read, or anything else. Once the encryption key is gone the data is irretrievable.Encryption part will be removed after erased, but the data is not removed from the deep way. Even restore your iPhone to factory settings, as long as the data have not be overwrote, it is possible to restore your data by some data recovery tool.So if you want to be extra super sure, before giving away your old iPhone, and you want to permanent erase all data on your iPhone, here, I recommend you a 3rd party iOS Data Eraser tool - dr.fone iOS eraser, which could be a good choice, it ensures all deleted data were overwritten and erased without the possibility of recovery by any practical software or hardware methods.

I just got a new computer and redid the whole iTunes account. I put on new Cd's and stuff like that as well. If I chooses to sync my iPhone will it delete just the songs and replace them with what I changed or will it delete like everything like pictures and apps. If it does delete apps will it delete the highscores and where you left off on games?
