Even Though A Dog Was Neutered Why Does His Wiener Come Out When He Is Excited

If a dog is neutered, should the little red part of their penis (the "lipstick") still be coming out?

If he's a puppy, than that's still 'puppyness'. My dog has been neutered for 8 years and it still happens occasionally. Some dogs just well...hump. Chances are, he'll grow out of it. And there are some tricks to help him stop. Good luck~

Will my dog still have a "red rocket" after he is neutered?

I have a 15 week old puppy that is going to get neutered in about a month. Today is the first day I saw his "red rocket" come out when he was watching me cook. (strange?) I was just wondering if this will still happen after he is neutered because I find it to be a little gross. I know it is not his fault and it is normal. Either way I don't like it and if that happens around my 2 year old neices and nephews I wont know how to explain. Answer please!

My dog's "red rocket" comes out whenever he sits down...?

My male Doberman is over six years old and his penis comes out of the sheath in response to anything said (hear me say dinner and he presents himself in the kitchen very happy) or done (walk to the peg where his lead is kept and equally thrilled) that he associates with someone good happening.

Castration will prevent him from being able to sire puppies, but will not have any effective on what is an instinctive and natural reaction that is beyond his ability to control and not sexual.

Get used to it and avert your eyes if it bothers you.

How come my dog can still get an erection but he's been neutered?

No thats perfectly normal.
all neutering is,is the cutting off of the balls of a intacted male.
the balls produce semen witch when mating is injected into the female to produce offspring.
when the balls are taken off it is just making sure the dog can not produce offspring.
an erection has nothing to do with the neutering.
all males will have one with balls or without.
it is nothing sexual...he is happy and excited.
Hope iv helped.

Why does my fixed male cat still hump everything?

Ace, my jet black, silken catsonova has the same trait, and he is also neutered. He has made passionate love to my blankets, pillows, the other cats, the dogs, stuffed toys, my leg, arm & shoulder; and probably many other objects I’m happier not knowing about. This is not a neglected cat. He gets laser mouse or wand chasing time every day. He gets cuddles and kisses. He just has a very high libido. When he was a kitten until he was 2 1/2 he would also fold himself in half and suck his own penis. Why? There was no medical problem, the vet checked. I guess it’s just because it feels good. Maybe he’s pansexual. As long as he’s healthy and happy, It really doesn't bother me, and the other 2 cats and 2 dogs have learned to cope.

My dog was neutered and his penis is starting to come out?

we neutered him when he was 7 months old and we have had no problem since but now hes about to turn 3 tomorrow, and it has started to come out and when it does he acts like he's uncomfortable and he licks at it and sits down a lot when its out , is this a problem or is it suppose to happen? because i thought neutering him prevented that from happening? he's a maltese if it helps. i just think its weird because since we neutered him it has never come out and now 2 years later it comes out

What would I do to my puppy when its penis comes out?

What would I do to my puppy when its penis comes out?Nothing, just ignore it. My 10 year old, fixed-since-before-he-was-a-year-old dog still occasionally does it when he’s getting scratched; his leg starts thumping, too. He’s enjoying himself, that’s all. It’s not a conscious decision on his part and there’s really nothing he - or you - can do to prevent it. Punishing him will just make him scared of you because he can’t understand what the problem is. That would solve the issue in that he’d never be relaxed enough around you to be enjoying his life, I suppose, but I hope that’s not what you want!

Why do dogs' rear ends get stuck to each other?

They should get interlocked (called “tied”) during a normal mating, and remain tied for 10–40 minutes while the male ejaculates. The male will mount the female, thrust until he enters her, and when this happens a couple of glands at the base of his penis will immediately swell to keep him inside the female while ejaculating to maximize chances of a successful mating. To be more comfortable, the male then usually swings one of his backlegs over the back of the female so that they are standing turned away from each other, rear-end-to-rear-end, and they will remain this way until the mating ends, the glands unswell and they can separate. To avoid injury on either male or female it is good if the owners stay close to calm the dogs and make sure they stay in place and don’t try to wander off or tear apart until the mating is over. Especially the female, or both dogs if they are inexperienced, can get bored and impatient and wonder why that other dog is still hanging around (literally :-)).If the dogs don’t tie it is called a “slip mating”; it might still work if enough semen enters the female, but it’s much less sure.PS In case of an unwanted mating, never try to pull apart two dogs that are already tied; you will hurt them and the mating has already taken place anyway. Just wait it out and then contact your vet to discuss your options.

Why does my dog's penis come out ? This is so embarrassing to ask.?

You did not see testicles, you saw the bulbous penis gland which is the gland that swells up (on both sides) and causes the "tie" between males and females. The testicles are completely behind the dog, under the tail directly below the anus, not on the belly. Dogs will swell a bit from any sort of excitement, sexual or not, but not to a full erection. Likely one of your dogs is more excitable than the other. Dogs also have a true bone in the penis (unlike humans) so the pink part often will come out when the dog is hunched over, like when he is defecating. The penis can actually get 'stuck', again some dogs are more prone than others. It happens more often in small fluffy dogs because the long hair can get stuck in the sheath. If it's stuck out for more than an hour, that's a medical emergency, and it can be pretty uncomfortable. If you happen to have KY jelly in the house, applying some can help get the dog un-stuck.
